Brass Quartet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.763325 Composed by Trad. Irish. Arranged by Nigel Williams. Celtic,Holiday,Irish,Lent. 12 pages. Nigel Williams #4786537. Published by Nigel Williams (A0.763325). Score and parts. Also known as Danny Boy, this much loved Irish melody, Londonderry Air is also sung to the Gospel hymn He Looked Beyond My Faults. This flexible arrangement for brass quartet gives you the option of either a Horn in F or Trombone playing the third part (with individual parts provided for both). Each instrument has the opportunity to lead with the melody and the accompanying counter melodic material provides a rich accompaniment across three tonal areas. The performance duration is approximately four and a half minutes and the arrangement is ideal for church performance as well as college brass ensembles looking for new and innovative repertoire. You might also enjoy browsing my Brass trio and quintet arrangements and my five hymn arrangements for trumpet and organ, all available on SMP.

Brass Quartet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1390514 Composed by P. I. Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 9 pages. Diego Marani #974040. Published by Diego Marani (A0.1390514). Danse des petits cygnes is a famous dance from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, from the ballet’s second act, the fourth movement of No. 13. Translated from French, it means Dance of the Little Swans, also known as Dance of the cygnets. It is very challenging because all dancers must look the same.Ivanov's choreography—created for the famous revival of Swan Lake in 1895—was meant to imitate the way cygnets huddle and move together for protection. Four dancers enter the stage in a line and move across with their arms crossed in front of one another, grasping the next dancer's hand. They move sideways, doing sixteen pas de chat. Ideally the dancers move in exact or near-exact unison. At the very end, they break their chain and try to fly, only to drop to the ground. This arrangement for brass quartet includes the following parts: Bb Trumpet 1, Bb Trumpet 2, Trombone or F Horn, Tuba.

Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1110865 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713160. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110865). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 2 Bb Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Regis Bookshar #713161. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110866). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 2 Bb Trumpets, 2 French Horns, 1 Trombone and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1112868 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 40 pages. Regis Bookshar #714822. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1112868). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Octet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 2 French Horns, 2 Trombones and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (40 pages). So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Octet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.

Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1341324). Sing Joyfully - William Byrd - Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - .William Byrd was the greatest British composer of the late Renaissance, and just maybe, the greatest British composer ever. He wrote a huge body of choral music, some of it profound and timeless. He also composed brilliant, virtuoso pieces and his motet-like anthem, Sing Joyfully, a polyphonic setting of Psalm 81, written in 1590, is perhaps his best-known one. It is enchanting to listen to and is fun to sing. Regis Bookshar thought that instrumental performers should have the same opportunity that singers have experienced for years, so he has now transcribed, edited and arranged this wonderful composition for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles, including this one for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 3 Bb Trumpets, 1 French Horn, 1 Trombone and 1 Tuba.Since no tempo is indicated and there are no written dynamic or phrase markings in William Byrd's original score, Regis Bookshar has taken the liberty to add them in order to provide direction and life to the piece. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students, and perhaps even some younger students. It is perfect for concerts, recitals and church services, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (29 pages). Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1373909). The Blue Bird is a partsong (Op. 119 No. 3) composed by Charles Villiers Stanford in 1910. It is set to the words of L'Oiseau Bleu, a poem by Mary Elizabeth Coleridge, which depicts a bluebird in flight over a lake. The Blue Bird is the third of Stanford's Eight Part Songs which are all settings of texts by Coleridge. It is one of Stanford's most renowned partsongs and has been recorded by ensembles including The Cambridge Singers, Oxford Camerata, and Tenebrae. The lake lay blue below the hill.O'er it, as I looked, there flewAcross the waters, cold and still,A bird whose wings were palest blue. When played delicately on brass instruments, it sounds really great too.The sky above was blue at last,The sky beneath me blue in blue.A moment, ere the bird had passed,It caught his image as he flew.

This is a brass accompaniment for a modern carol that would suit church choirs, school choirs, and congregations looking for something new, which would still compliment the traditional and well-known carols. The melody is memorable and the harmonies are rich and stately, whilst the words encourage us all to use our voices to sing and relay the message of Christ's birth. A piano and single line vocal melody version with a more intricate SATB version is available separately. In this brass arrangement there are parts for trumpets, tenor horn, French horn, trombone (bass clef), trombone (treble clef), tuba, and E flat bass (treble clef).
