Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.617730 Composed by William H. Doane, GARY LANIER. Arranged by Gary Lanier. Sacred. Score and part. 16 pages. The Lanier Company #6038899. Published by The Lanier Company (A0.617730). TO GOD BE THE GLORY One Movement Hymn Sonata is a musical work by Gary Lanier for Flute and Piano of one of our most cherished Hymns. The theme is one of God's love and the Christian's praise for Him in giving His Son that makes a way for us to life forever in His loving presence. The word, sonata is used by the composer/arranger because of the many ways the hymn tune is presented and developed through: motifs, secondary themes, variation, repetition, recapitulation and other compositional devices. TO GOD BE THE GLORY One Movement Hymn Sonata is perfect for Church services or any gatherings where hymns of the grace and love of God is desired. The score, including cover and instrumental part is 16 pages long.

Flute,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.796893 Composed by Handel, Traditional. Arranged by Stephanie Daige. Christian,Christmas,Concert,Sacred,Traditional. Score and part. 13 pages. Stephanie Daige #4990841. Published by Stephanie Daige (A0.796893). This arrangement of seven traditional Christmas favorites will make your heart joyful as you prepare for the Christmas season! The flute and the piano share the melody in a conversation-like way, with rich harmonies and beautiful descants enhancing the melodies. The medley begins triumphantly in the key of F Major, moves soulfully to the parallel minor, then finishes brightly back in F Major. Duration is 5 minutes. Christmas carols featured are: · Joy to the World · Good King Wenceslas · We Wish You a Merry Christmas · Deck the Halls · God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen · What Child is This? · Ding Dong Merrily on High I hope you will enjoy performing this medley as much as I have enjoyed arranging it! Audiences are sure to love it. This would work well in a variety of venues during the Christmas season: school or studio recital, church, shopping mall background music, prelude to a choral performance/ carol sing-along, etc. It’s perfect for anywhere you want to lift people’s spirits with beautiful, familiar seasonal music. There are also arrangements of this medley available for piano solo and various chamber music ensembles.

O Come, Emmanuel - jazz flute and piano

Flute,Instrumental Duet,Keyboard - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1350487 Composed by Phil Beaman. Advent,Christmas,Early Music,Jazz,Renaissance. 4 pages. Phil Beaman #935296. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.1350487). This jazz composition is based on the hauntingly beautiful 15th century medieval tune that is commonly used for the Advent carol O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. Â I have reharmonized it with the accompaniment in a Key Signature a fifth above that of the melody. Â The accompaniment, part 2, has a broken two chord ostinato throughout written as a walking bass line. Â I have altered the melody, part 1, and moved much of it to the off beats. Â As in period early music, I allow occassional dissonances in order to keep the ostinato. Â This piece makes a wonderfully useful and unique addition to the season's repertoire. Â (I have also published a version on this site with text so it can be sung by a soloist or unison choir with piano accompaniment.) Â (Also as a piano solo.)range - part 1 melody - 10th, 3rd space C to high E; part 2 walking bass line, octave and a half, bass clef low A to D above middle C2 pages score, 1 page @ part, Â 2:05 minutes.

Tchaikovsky: Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy from Nutcracker Suite for Alto Flute & Piano

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549686 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tc…

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549686 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Children,Christmas,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 14 pages. Jmsgu3 #3520291. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549686). Duration: ca. 1:42, 52 measures, Score: 7 pages, solo part: 2 pages, piano part: 4 pages. A popular Christmas favorite from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Tchaikovsky is probably the most popular of the great composers in America. His music certainly appeals to musicians. Likewise, it appeals even to folks who don’t normally listen to serious music. This is probably because of his most noteworthy melodies. Above all, he writes with great emotion. This certainly makes a most noteworthy if not an unforgettable impact. Education First of all, He attended classes at the Russian Musical Society. Even more, He also attended the St. Petersburg Conservatory. There he studied music theory with Nikolai Zaremba. He also consequently studied composition with Anton Rubenstein. It seems like Rubenstein came under criticism from a group of Russian composers known as the Five. The Five The Five certainly rejected Western musical influences. They rather sought to use elements from Russian music. They furthermore wanted to use more exotic musical materials. Western Techniques More than other Russian composers, Tchaikovsky studied modern Western music. He certainly develops his music like the European masters. So, rather than repeating a motive, he moves to a new key. He then introduces a different theme in the new key. Hence, he maintained his independence from the Five. Even more, he became the first Russian composer of international stature. Influences Tchaikovsky was probably influenced in his ballet scoring by Léo Delibes. Richard Wagner influenced his symphonic writing. Tchaikovsky’s most famous works include the 1812 Overture, The Nutcracker Suite, and Swan Lake. Also famous are the Violin Concerto in D and the six symphonies. The greatest of the six symphonies may be No. 6, the Pathétique. Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a The Nutcracker Suite is a ballet that was performed for the first time in December 1892 in St. Petersburg. To begin with, the original ballet failed to attract a positive reception. However, the ballet suite became probably one of the most popular of all of Tchaikovsky’s works. The ballet suite became even more famous in the 1960s. It is now performed all over the world, particularly during the Christmas season.

His music certainly appeals to musicians. Likewise, it appeals even to folks who don’t normally listen to serious music. This is probably because of his most memorable melodies. The Five The Five indeed rejected Western musical influences. 71a The Nutcracker Suite is a ballet performed for the first time in December 1892 in St. Petersburg. To begin with, the original ballet failed to attract a positive reception. However, the ballet suite became probably one of the most popular of all of Tchaikovsky’s works. The ballet suite became even more famous in the 1960s. It is now performed all over the world, particularly during the Christmas season.

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.899191 Composed by Charles H. Gabriel (1856-1932). Arranged by Arr. by Deborah M. Sylvester (1989-present). Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and part. 9 pages. Silverflute Music #3098481. Published by Silverflute Music (A0.899191). A typical Silverflute arrangement, His Eye Is on the Sparrow is designed to musically pull out the meaning of the text while exploring much of its feature-instrument's range. The key remains in C the entire song, but other aspects of the song make for a rich listening experience as both piano and flute move seriously through some portions and more playfully (bird-like) through others. Changes in rhythm and performance style bring forth a fun little challenge to the performers, but guarantee a rewarding result. Please enjoy!

In the original key from his Greatest Hits project, this song is fun for both the performer and the listener. Duration=4:59. Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.908188 Composed by Rebecca Maughan Cook. Contemporary,Standards. Score and part. 12 pages. Rebecca Maughan Cook #6873209. Published by Rebecca Maughan Cook (A0.908188). This wonderful Sonatina is in 3 movements for the intermediate flutist. It is a finalist for the 2022 New Voices for Young Flutists competition. Set in the band friendly Key of B-flat major, Movement 1 is a Classical Sonata Allegro Form with an accessible flute part and a piano part that makes it BIG!  It's called 'Clockworks' because of the type of clock sounds used, especially in the piano part. The range for the flutist is Low A to High D.   Movement 2 is called 'Time for Caring.' I wrote the melody I wanted to play. It's lovely and makes you want to develop an even more beautiful sound. It's range is Low F to High D with a fast scale going from Low F up to mid B-flat.  This is also in the Key of B-flat.  The 3rd Movement is also in the Key of B-flat. I called it 'Time to Grow.' It's rhythm is in 8/8, usually divided into 3+3+2, although there are a few measures where it is easier for the flutist to think of it in 2+2+2+2.  It has a lot of drive in the rhythm and I think has a Broadway kind of sound, as if people were moving and walking across a busy stage while singing. I'm uploading a recording of this which I hope you enjoy! The piano part is much more challenging. Each of these movements is accessible, musical, interesting and when paired with the accompaniment a full ensemble kind of sound.  Enjoy!

Flute,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844541 Composed by Robert Franz. Arranged by Phil Beaman. Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards,Wedding. Score and part. 6 pages. Phil Beaman #3516891. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844541). Robert Franz was a Romantic Era composer of lieder (German Art Song) whose pieces were highly praised by Schumann. When I removed the important lyrics from Feast of Love in order to make an accompanied instrumental solo I needed to convey the passionate drama just in the music. I changed a simple strophic form into an ABA Coda with every verse getting a different treatment. My harmony is much richer and more varied than the original. I added new articulations, dynamics, and other markings as well as a cadenza for one of the bridges. Excellent piece for a student to learn Romantic characteristics of expression, phrase shaping, and sempre rubato. This song is also excellent for Weddings. Alternative translations of the title are Celebration of Love and Love's Fire. You can definitely feel the fire and passion in this beautiful piece! This arrangement is not difficult to play, but is marked Early Intermediate because it requires musicianship to play well.3 minutes4 pages score, 2 page solo partTemporary recording of piano reduction of full score.
