My initial arrangement was for Bb clarinet and bass clarinet. To enable the lower part to be played by a second Bb clarinet (at the octave ) I created a slightly different part so as to avoid overlapping. I have also created alternative parts for oboe, cor anglais and bassoon. (Obviously the oboe part can be played by the flute as written or at the ocatve) So we have part 1 oboe/clarinet part 2 (higher octave) clarinet/cor anglais part 2 (lower octave) bass clarinet/bassoon So the duet can be played by the following instrumentation clarinet/bass clarinet clarinet/clarinet oboe/cor anglais oboe/ bassoon Other alternatives are obviously available - flute/bassoon, clarinet/cor anglais, any others….your choice!!! The 4 pieces available on this site are: Bourée in G Entrée in A min Anglaise in D min (Angloyse) Minuetto in C (Minuet) There is also a score containing all 4 pieces: A Selection from Little Keyboard Pieces

His 18 Nocturnes for piano is composed in such a way as the melody is carried mostly by the right hand while the left hand produces a harmony figure. This makes these pieces likely ones to arrange as instrumental duets. What I had in mind was a set of pieces for a student playing the lead 1st part and their teacher playing the accompaniment. You will find the student or 1st part is similar in style and playing level as the slow etudes of the 32 Rose Etudes. There are 5 nocturnes in this setting. There is a score, however, due to page turns, the separate parts are more useful. Arranger's note: an accidental in one octave does not effect the same note in another octave,,,so an A# in a lower octave will be an A natural in a different octave.

The transcription remains faithful to the structure, with only one change in tone, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as being used as an activity in ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions. Beethoven's Turkish March (Op. 113) is the 4th movement of the operatic work: The Ruins of Athens, a set of incidental pieces written in 1812 by Ludwig van Beethoven, where the melody was originally written in 1809 as Theme with Six Variations for Piano, Op. 76. The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.

Amor, (Portuguese for Love), is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for two Clarinets, and is one of series of pieces celebrating Love in different languages around the world.This duet is based on the Brazilian style of Bossa Nova which evolved in Rio de Janeiro during the late 1950s. Bossa in its purest form is lyrical song accompanied by nylon-stringed guitar. The rhythm derives from Samba but is played at around half tempo. The harmony is often complex and influenced by jazz; indeed it was the collaboration between guitarist João Gilberto and American Saxophonist Stan Getz that led to the huge international popularity of Bossa Nova in the 1960s and beyond.If you play to an intermediate standard and upwards, then you and your audience will enjoy this piece. Rhythms should be lightly articulated, the melody should always flow, and following the articulation in the score will help convey the style. Amor has a performance time of around three minutes.
