Felix Mendelssohn’s Wedding March was originally written in 1842 as incidental music to Shakespeare’s famousplay, Midsummer Night’s Dream. When Queen Victoria’s daughter used the music for her marriage in 1858, it became instantly popular and has remained a wedding favourite ever since.This full version is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets and the performance time is around 6 minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and interchangeable. Published by David McKeown (A0.587665). The Trumpet Tune and Air was in fact written for organ, with the melody played on thetrumpet stop. Written around 1700, for many years this piece was attributed to Henry Purcell. But more recently many have questioned whether the composer was in fact Jeremiah Clarke, organist at St Paul’s Cathedral. What is known is that the piece was written for a semi-opera called The Island Princess, and that both men contributed music to the production. In recent years this piece has become a popular wedding favourite. This full version is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets and the performance time is around two and a half minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and the repeat may be ignored. Born on February 23, 1924, in La Flèche, Jacques Bouillault was 21 years old when, in 1945, he met the Marquise Hélène Rola de Rosycki, who settled him in a forest lodge located southeast of the town, on the Tertre-Rouge hill. Initially, he established himself there as a naturalist-taxidermist. His preserved animals were joined by live ones: birds, foxes, reptiles, rodents... Both voices take turns with their respective melodies and accompaniments, bringing both melodies together from measure 43 to the end.

The 15 Two-Part Inventions BWV 772-786, arranged for Clarinet & Bass Clarinet. The historical context of Bach's 15 Two-Part Inventions is rooted in their didactic purpose and significance in developing keyboard technique and musical expression. Composed around 1720, these pieces were part of Bach's Klavierbüchlein, a collection of 62 short works for keyboard compiled for his nine-year-old son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
