The Pizzicato Polka is a piece of orchestral music by Johann Baptist & Josef Strauss composed in 1869 for a trip to Imperial Russia. It was published in 1870. The polka was written for string orchestra and glockenspiel. It was hugely popular, especially in Italy, where it was included on every program Strauss played there. The piece consists of four melodies and the work is arranged in ternary form (A-B-A). The original piece is scored for plucked strings.

Here is the famous duet from Humperdinck's 1893 opera, H�nsel und Gretel, arranged for Bb clarinet solo or duet. Coming near the climax of Act II of the opera, it is the song H�nsel and Gretel sing before falling asleep in the forest, and is a perennial Christmas favorite. Ferling was a German born composer and oboist who is probably best known for his 48 Etudes for Oboe. These pieces are still regularly studied and performed by both oboists and saxophonists. The 3 Duo Concertants, of which this is the first, predate the Etudes as they were first published in 1829. This lovely duo will be enjoyed by the players and the audience.

"Ellens dritter Gesang" ("Ellens Gesang III", D. 839, Op. 52, No. 6, 1825), in English: "Ellen's Third Song", was composed by Franz Schubert in 1825 as part of his Op. 52, a setting of seven songs from Walter Scott's popular narrative poem The Lady of the Lake.
It is one of Schubert's most popular works. Beyond the song as originally composed by Schubert, it is often performed and recorded by many singers (Joan Baez, Stevie Wonder, Jos� Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Barbra Streisand and many more) under the title "Ave Maria".
