Randy Aldcroft has written twelve wonderful Jazz Duets for Bass Trombones, Volume 1. These Duets are written for the intermediate to advanced students interested in learning to play in the Jazz style. The styles covered are: Swing, Rock, Bossa Nova, Funk, Jazz Waltz and Ballad.

Chord changes are included to help learn the structure and chord progressions, allowing the Duets to be played with a rhythm section if desired.

These Duets are perfect learning tools for the student and teacher to work on at lessons, and several of them can be programmed together as a medley on a concert or recital.

This is a book of popular pieces arranged for duet; it comprises both volumes from the '15 Duets for Fun' series, plus the '21 Christmas Duets for Fun' as well, making a total of 51 duets in this set. The difficulty levels range from early-intermediate to advanced, and should provide something for everyone to enjoy. The pieces have been arranged so that both parts are interesting throughout - they often interweave and take on many roles within the music. A duet score is provided for each piece, and the repertoire covers wedding music, slow melodies, traditional Welsh melodies, baroque classics, famous symphonic melodies, piano works, Christmas classics and other popular pieces. 10 Latin Duets is an exciting collection of original compositions by David McKeown, arranged as duets for two Trombones.

Each piece explores a different style and flavour of Latin music, from the Rumbas, Salsas and Mambos of Cuba, to the Sambas and Bossas of Brazil, and on to the Calypsos and Merengues of the Caribbean. Mexico is represented by the Huapango, Venezuela and Colombia by the Joropo, and Argentina and Uruguay by the Tango.

Most of these duets are ideal for players of an Intermediate standard, with two or three more suitable for Advanced Intermediate.
