This All-American song in praise of baseball, ?Take Me Out to the Ball Game,? is beloved by girls and boys, men and women, old and young. This easy-to-play arrangement is for two to five lever OR pedal harps. The set contains Score, Harp 1, Harp 2-3, and Harp 4-5. Harp 1 has the melody, and has five lever changes (only F sharp lever is needed). The Harp 2-3 part can be played by one person, or split into two even easier parts (treble clef / bass clef). The Harp 4-5 part is optional and can also be played by one person or split into two even easier parts. Bennett says: ?My student ensemble plays this at a senior assisted-living home every summer, and the audience loves to sing along. We like to wear our baseball caps when we play it!?

The invitation was extended because Eduard Strauss, the youngest Strauss, was a harpist. He conducted his own orchestra from his harp and toured the United States.

Published by O'Meara Music (A0.803724). In 1889 Johann Strauss, Jr. gave his Berlin publisher, Fritz Simrock, a new waltz entitled Hand in Hand. It was a celebration of the toast made by Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I during a visit to German Kaiser Wilhelm II. The toast stressed the necessity of bonds of friendship between the two nations. Mr Simrock suggested changing the title to Kaiser-Waltzer to please the two emperors. However, when it was published, only the Austrian Imperial crown was emblazoned on the title page! This stunning arrangement has both a pedal harp and lever harp version that is intended to be performed together. They only differ in the pedal/lever markings and an occasional harmony note. The dynamics are clearly marked. The Harp Ensemble would perform for 2 hours each evening as guests arrived at the UW-Eau Claire’s annual Viennese Ball in the student center (1998-2016). He used a haunting melody that he’d heard during his travels through Appalachia with a poem that had been published in 1811. He titled the hymn Wondrous Love. The melody has now been traced back to an English Ballad (Roud #5089). In the Dorian mode, the sixth scale degree is lowered in the harmony some of the time. He used a haunting melody that he’d heard during his travels through Appalachia with a poem that had been published in 1811. He titled the hymn Wondrous Love. The melody has now been traced back to an English Ballad (Roud #5089). In the Dorian mode, the sixth scale degree is lowered in the harmony some of the time.
