NOTE: While some of these works can easily be sightread, there are several that are meant to sound much fuller than your average 2-line transcription so they may be a bit more difficult with added double stops, etc. Much work was put into these to give both players great parts (not just a bass line in the cello part, etc).

This collection of ?Easy String Duets? contains 10 familiar Christmas carols arranged for VIOLIN and CELLO. These creative and fun-to-learn arrangements are a welcome addition to the repertoire for beginning string students and suitable for holiday concerts and worship services.

All notes for both the VIOLIN and CELLO are playable in the first position making these arrangements an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. For each song, there is a combined score (grand staff) with both the VIOLIN and CELLO parts on each page plus separate 1-staff scores for the VIOLIN and CELLO.

The traditional Christmas hymn that highlights several of the most important parts of Christ?s birth; from the rejoicing of heaven and earth (with shepherds and angels), to the fulfilling of prophecies (the coming of the wise men) has been freshly arranged as a duet for Violin and Cello with Piano accompaniment. This version also incorporates other Christmas carols within the piece to help tell the story ("Patapan", "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" and "We Three Kings").
