This arrangement adapted for violin and violoncello duet was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. The transcription remains faithful to the structure, with only one change in tone, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as being used as an activity in ensemble practice among musicians of different traditions.Beethoven's Turkish March (Op. 113) is the 4th movement of the operatic work: The Ruins of Athens, a set of incidental pieces written in 1812 by Ludwig van Beethoven, where the melody was originally written in 1809 as Theme with Six Variations for Piano, Op. 76. The work was written to accompany the play of the same name by August von Kotzebue, for the dedication of a new theater in Pest. Perhaps the best known part of the composition is the Marcia alla turca, In Latin America, this movement became known in Jean-Jacques Perrey's version (who titled it The Elephant never Forgets) since it was used as the opening theme of the successful Mexican TV comedy El Chavo del Ocho. The opening and the turkish march are often performed separately, and the other pieces in this set are not often heard.

After writing the lyrics on the tour bus one day, Cain proceeded to get the melody out of a dream that night, and composed the entire song in 30 minutes the following day. Appropriately, the lyrics describe the difficulties of being a musician and living life on the road, but they end with a reassurance to his spouse that he will always remain faithful. Just as quickly as the song was written, it shot to the top of the charts, hitting number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cementing itself as one of the band's biggest hits. In fact, one magazine even referred to it as the greatest power ballad ever recorded -- so you can't go wrong adding this one to your gig books! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this Cellobat arrangement for violin and cello duet maintains the soaring melodies, dynamic intensity, and even the epic guitar solo of the original for a chart that will be just as much fun to play as it is to listen to! Written around 1700, for many years this piece was attributed to Henry Purcell. But more recently many have questioned whether the composer was in fact Jeremiah Clarke, organist at St Paul’s Cathedral. What is known is that the piece was written for a semi-opera called The Island Princess, and that both men contributed music to the production. In recent years this piece has become a popular wedding favourite. This full version is arranged as a duet for Violin and Cello and the performance time is around two and a half minutes. Of course, performers, especially at weddings, may wish to abridge and shorten the arrangement. This is easily done as the different sections are self-contained and the repeat may be ignored. The short sample here and the full length version on the youtube link are from the Clarinet and Alto Saxophone version of this arrangement.Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. It is popularly known as Le matin (Morning).Haydn wrote this, his first symphonic work for his new employer Prince Paul II Anton Esterházy, shortly after joining the court. He had signed his employment contract with him on May 1, 1761. Prince Paul gave Haydn the three times of day as a theme for composition. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894374). This duet was written as my first experiment in bitonality. The title of the piece is simply an inversion of the word ostinato. The beginning ostinato in the cello is a rhythmic diminution of the famous Pachelbel Canon in D. To make it a little more distinct, it is also written in d natural minor. The contrasting melodic material is set in Bb major. I find that this triadic relationship makes for pleasing and interesting combinations of dissonances and consonances.
