Hello everyone.. after a few weeks, the video of my project is finished, which involves around 25 people from different parts of the world, together now for just 1 objective.. peace in the world, not war, and peace in Ukraine.🇺🇦🙠I would first like to thank Kana Omori , for being the first to accept the invitation to play in my project and for being the full support in this project, I would also like to thank all the musicians, speakers participants.. really... it was not easy to edit everything.. even more so because I let each guest perform their own free performance (I'm glad there wasn't much difference in tempo) I left this part free because I wanted to express that even though we are different from each other, being in different countries, different instruments, religion, ethnicity, sexuality.. we are all the same when we play the same music... there is nothing more important at this moment than doing what we love, which is playing music and we can bring peace, love and affection to those who watch us playing... this is gratifying.

Marimba Solo - SKU: A0.499204 By Pat Metheny. By Pat Metheny. Arranged by Gregory Beyer. Folk,Jazz,Standards. Individual part. 9 pages. Published by Gregory Beyer (A0.499204). This is a 5.0 marimba arrangement of Pat Metheny's solo baritone guitar rendition of Last Train Home as recorded on the album, One Quiet Night. It is transposed up a minor third (to the key of Ab major from F major) in order to accommodate the lowest notes of the baritone guitar (A1) on the 5.0 marimba (C2). Perhaps someday someone will make a 5.3 octave version of this in Metheny's original key. During the pandemic, I have deliberately chosen to take a deeper look at some of the music that moves me deeply. When I was a kid my next neighbor, Bob Holt, happened to be the local college music professor. He introduced me to a lot of wonderful music, including Pat Metheny’s album “Still Life Talking,†which features the song, “Last Train Home.†In 2003, Metheny released a solo baritone guitar album, “One Quiet Night,†on which “Last Train Home†makes a re-appearance. I’ve always thought that this version of the tune would make a great marimba project.

This is one of the last seven sayings of Christ before his death on the cross. Some will interpret this saying as words of Abandonment of the Son by the Father. God has left his son to die in pain at the hands of humanity as a sacrifice for their sins.

Moonlight Festival Dances is an original piece that encompasses a variety of emotions and tones and requires the player to swiftly change between time signatures, styles and keys.Suitable for 3-octave marimba, xylophone or vibes; 2-mallets, unaccompanied.---------------------------Adam Lenhart (b. 2002) is a University of Michigan student of music theory, composition, voice and organ from Ottawa Lake, Michigan. As a theorist, his areas of study vary widely, including 18th century counterpoint, the early American Sacred Harp tradition and impressionism. As a composer, his music draws inspiration from nature, mathematics and poetry. In 2020 he was awarded the Michigan Music Education Association’s Young Composers of Michigan award, as well as first prize in the University of Toledo Young Composers competition. Lenhart has also participated in numerous ensembles across Michigan, including the MYAF All-State Choir, Tecumseh Pops Orchestra, University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club and the SMTD University Choir. He thoroughly enjoys collaboration with other composers, performers, poets and visual artists. Some of his recent projects include collaborations with individuals from the University of Michigan Chamber Music, History, and Poetry departments.

This set of music for Marimba is based my Twenty Etudes For Guitar. Both being polyphonic instruments the guitar and the marimba are certainly distant cousins so I believe the essence of works for one instrument can be expressed on the other, in either direction. While these pieces may in fact work as etudes for marimba I have purposefully renamed them. Whether or not they work as etudes I will leave up to each individual percussionist and teacher the extent of their didactic usefulness. Ultimately though all music can be used for study and my wish is these pieces can be used for study and performance. They are relatively brief and ideally played in sets, the number and selections being determined by the performer. Guitarist Neal Fitzpatrick has a B.M. from the Hartt School where he studied with Alan Spriestersbach and his M.M. from The Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery. He also studied extensively with Sharon Isbin and Sal Salvador. Based in Connecticut, he is active as a soloist and in the chamber music scene.
