I wrote As We Leave because I wanted my congregation to be able to sing an upbeat, justice-focused benedictory Amen with contemporary-sounding music and active lyrics that speak of God being with us out in the world, fuelling us for the work of loving people and restoring our beautiful, broken communities that God so loves. I don't know about your denomination or local church practices, but the section for Choral Amens in the hymnal I use is very limited. So, I composed five different versions of the lyrics, so that you can use this Amen throughout the whole year. The alternative lyrics begin with Advent, then provide words to sing together on Christmas Eve. Next, you can use the Epiphany lyrics throughout that season, and then return to the main lyric for Lent, switching to alternative lyrics for Holy Week, and then finally returning to the main lyric for Ordinary Time. If you are worshipping in a non-liturgical church, that's okay, too - use the standard lyrics all year, or switch things up by using one of the alternative lyrics whenever your Pastor is preaching on the themes mentioned in those verses! For $4.59 US, you are getting five different versions of the piece, and you'll be able to use As We Leave all year long, if you so choose. This is a great value for an Amen you can sing together Sunday after Sunday. The music is set in F Major and the accompaniment is simple enough for beginners and early intermediate accompanists. I've added guitar chords to the score as well as the piano accompaniment, for those who play by chord symbol. A YouTube video with embedded lyrics will also be added soon - so that congregations who are meeting digitally during the pandemic will have something to listen to and to watch as they sing along from home.

McCormick (A0.1040259). About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “Nobody like You†Disney's smash hit animation Turning Red was a massive success early in 2022. The sound track was brought to us by none other than Finneas O'connell, Billie Eilish. This arrangement of the main song on the soundtrack, Nobody like U, is for piano, voice and guitar. The key is in Am With this arrangement you will get the piano and vocal part, 7 pages, and the voice part with chords/lyrics separately acting as a lead sheet which is useful for all types of performers who do not necessarily need the whole piano part. This keeps paper usage at minimum and means the whole song can be laid out side by side without the need for page turns. The piano arrangement is very easy, mainly a heavily repeated chordal rhythmic motif. The most difficult part is in the left hand for the change in the bass line. There is also a large section of the song that is purely percussive in the backing. In one instance this is simply marked indicating when the piano drops and the accompanist could clap/beat box in this section if desired or if playing with a drummer just let them have the spot light. The song also finishes with only percussive backing, for this final section to give an idea of this I've changed the rhythm to a simple staccato beat on 2 and 4 so that if this was performed with only a pianist and singer there was some appropriate melodic backing that seemed percussive through the use of the staccato. The vocal part is close to the audio however I have omitted most of the vocal runs that happen between sections. These can be included in the performance should the singer decide to. I have only included the opening vocal run passage. In some areas I have simplified the melody, retaining the rough melodic shape but simplifying the rhythm. These can be sung as written or adjusted to the performers taste. I hope you enjoy this arrangement of Nobody Like U for piano, vocal and guitar and I hope it serves as a versatile arrangement for many purposes. The track was written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley and appeared on the 1973 album Desperado. Although it was never released as a single, it became one of Eagles' best-known songs. It ranked No. 494 on Rolling Stone's 2004 list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.. According to Henley, Desperado was based on a song he started in 1968, written in the style of old songs by Stephen Foster. In 1972, after they had recorded their first album Eagles in London, Glenn Frey and Henley decided that they should write songs together, and within a day or two after returning from London, they wrote Desperado. They also wrote Tequila Sunrise in the first week of their collaboration.

Triste (meaning Sad in English) is a bossa nova song composed in 1966 by Antônio Carlos Jobim, who also wrote lyrics for it in both English and Portuguese. Jobim wrote the song in late 1966 while staying at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles, as he waited for Frank Sinatra to return from a holiday in Barbados so they could begin recording their album Francis Albert Sinatra & Antônio Carlos Jobim (1967). The first recording of the song was an instrumental version by Jobim for his 1967 album Wave. Sinatra recorded it with Jobim two years later on the sessions for their planned second album.

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer - Arrangement for Voice, Piano and Guitar by Michael Thomas CoullGrandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer is a novelty holiday song.  Written by Randy Brooks, the song was originally performed by Elmo & Patsy, the husband-and-wife duo of Elmo Shropshire and Patsy Trigg in 1979. The lyrics tell the story of a grandmother celebrating at a Christmas Eve party with her family when, while drunk on eggnog and off her medication, she staggers out into a snowstorm despite everyone imploring her not to.  She is found the next day, trampled; Santa and his reindeer are determined to be the culprits when 'incriminating Claus marks' are found on Grandma's back.  Grandpa seems completely unfazed by his wife's demise and spends the holiday 'watching football, drinking beer and playing cards with cousin Mel', while the rest of the family mourns Grandma's death and wonders if the gifts they bought for her should be returned. Christmas dinner otherwise goes on as normal, with a centrepiece of roast goose, figgy pudding for dessert, and 'blue and silver candles' to match Grandma’s hairpiece.  The upshot is a warning to the listeners that Santa is unfit to carry a driver's license!This arrangment of Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer is for solo voice, piano and guitar, but also contains harmonized sections (backing 'oohs', and the final few bars) that also enable this arrangment to be performed by an SSA choir - with the majority of it sung in unison. However it is performed, it is a great choice for a fun, novelty song for Christmas.
