Instrumental Duet,Piano Flute,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.523182 Composed by Traditional Hymn Tune, Scott Joplin. Arranged by John A. Dempsey. Christian,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 18 pages. John A. Dempsey #3256915. Published by John A. Dempsey (A0.523182). The worshipful, reverential mood of Just a Closer Walk with Thee is sustained and enhanced, as it's paired with and in the style of Solace, one of Scott Joplin's slower, more contemplative ragtime favorites. Â Recommended for traditional church services and other worship events, as a prelude, postlude, an offertory, silent prayer accompaniment or special music. Â Also popular as a performance piece for recitals and concerts. Â Key: F major. Â 14 pages of music (that includes separate two-page parts for flute 1 and flute 2).

Tu del ciel ministro eletto, Aria by G F Handel, for two Flutes and Piano
2 Flûtes traversières, Piano
Flute Duet Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587983 Composed by G F Handel…
(+)
Flute Duet Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.587983 Composed by G F Handel. Arranged by David McKeown. Baroque,Opera,Sacred,Standards. Score. 8 pages. David McKeown #5205719. Published by David McKeown (A0.587983). Tu del ciel ministro eletto is a beautiful and serene aria from Handel’s Oratorio Il trionfo del Tempo. The oratorio premiered in Rome in 1707, but Handel twice revised it later in his career. In this aria Beauty turns her back on pleasure and dedicates her heart to the Elected Minister of Heaven. The soprano voice and solo violin are in constant dialogue throughout. This version of Tu del ciel ministro eletto is arranged as a Duet for two Flutes and Piano. The piano part is straightforward, but the flute parts will set challenges for control, breathing and tuning. Performance time is around five minutes. The pdf file contains both the piano score and both instrumental parts. You can listen to a full-length performance of the Clarinet version of Tu del ciel minstrel eletto via the YouTube link above. Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find Tu del ciel ministro eletto ideal for formal and informal performances.Teachers will enjoy using this arrangement to help with developing tone, phrasing and expression. Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.525088 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by John A. Dempsey. Baroque,Christmas,Classical,Easter,Wedding. 21 pages. John A. Dempsey #6658101. Published by John A. Dempsey (A0.525088). Â This trio for two flutes and piano is recommended for concerts, recitals, weddings, banquets, traditional church services and other worship events. Â Suggested wedding uses: prelude, unity candle music, bridesmaid processional, bridal march and wedding recessional. Â As worship music, Sheep May Safely Graze may serve as a prelude, postlude, an offertory, interlude, silent prayer accompaniment, special music and more. Â Key: D major. Â 17 pages of music (that includes separate two-page parts for flute 1 and flute 2).

Its diversity reflects the small regional and cultural spaces of Switzerland. Influences from other European countries have also shaped this kind of music since the early 19th century. Polka and Mazurka have their roots in Poland, the Scottish in Scotland. The music has been passed on by word of mouth or has been written down in musicians’ notebooks.Between 1940 and 1960, the ethnomusicologist Hanny Christen travelled through Switzerland and collected thousands of melodies from the period between 1800 and 1960. The musicians played or sang in front of her. Some permitted her to write off their own hand-written dance booklets in full. In 1956, Hanny Christen began to record this music with a tape recorder. It is thanks to her that over 12,000 instrumental dance movements of Switzerland and many other pieces of tradition (costumes, biographies, musical instruments etc.) were saved from being forgotten. The instruments used in traditional folk music vary depending on the type of dance and region. Flutes are more or less non-existent. The author would like to fill a gap with this publication. She has therefore adapted one folk dance per canton from the Hanny Christen-collection* for two flutes. The pieces from the cantons of Basel City, Thurgau and Geneva do not come from this source, though. The melodies from the other 23 cantons are taken unchanged from the collection. The second voice was not always composed quite traditional. The melody follows - if possible - a contrapuntal melody of its own and is directed to the flute (difficulty grade 3 +).The editor, Helene Schulthess, is a flutist with a wide repertoire. She lives in Switzerland. She performs as a soloist, makes chamber music and is active as a music teacher. She is involved in various musical projects (www.helene-schulthess.ch).* Swiss Folk Music Collection. The dance music of Switzerland of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. From the estate of Hanny Christen. Edited by Fabian Müller under the auspices of the Society for Folk Music in Switzerland (GVS/SMPS). Music print. Mülirad, Zürich 2002.
