Written by Howard Blake for the film in 1982, a new version sung by Aled Jones, was a top 5 hit in the UK in 1985. It has been a permanent fixture on Christmas playlists ever since. This version is arranged as a duet for one Oboe and one Clarinet.Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal Christmas performances. A Nacht in Gan Eden is in the Freylekh style, a happy piece played at medium to fast tempo for dancing. A Nacht in Gan Eden is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments.
