The cycle is not actually LGBTQIA+ themed in its subject matter as such, the flag was jut a kind of framework for my creativity.In the intervening years since the cycle was first conceived, the LGBTQIA+ community has embraced a new flag, the Progress Pride Flag, which will give me a few more colours to interpret and add to the original cycle.This song Red was inspired by an animated video of red blood cells coursing down an artery.

Thanks, John.  This song began life in 1930 as a nine-bar phrase with the working title There's No Stopping Me Now.  Its title phrase Nice work if you can get it came from an English magazine.  It was one of nine songs the Gershwin brothers wrote for the movie A Damsel in Distress in which it was performed by Fred Astaire with backing vocals by The Stafford Sisters.  The song was published in 1937.  The first jazz recording of the work was by Tommy Dorsey three weeks after the release of the film.  The song was recorded by many jazz singers and adopted by bebop instrumentalists; Jerry Newman recorded pianist Thelonious Monk performing the tune in 1941 at Minton's Playhouse, a nightclub closely connected with early bebop, and he subsequently recorded it several times.

This is something that 1 in 8 women will develop in their lifetime, and is special to me because I've had family members, friends and co-workers effected by this cancer. Generally speaking, for October, I would arrange so fun or scary Halloween song, however, October is Breast Cancer Awareness. I could not think of anything better to do than a beautiful arrangement , to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. This well written, beautiful song by Kate Bush would make a great addition to your music library, something very different and memorable not only for a general audience , but especially for an event celebrating Women , for a breast cancer survivor, for friends and family also effected by this cancer , or a movie or tv themed concert because this song was featured in the movie in She's having a Baby :, to tv shows like Alias and recently in The Hand Maids Tale . Songs from the Book Of Revelation is a powerful new cantata (SATB) and piano accompaniment consisting of 14 original songs from the book of Revelation that may be performed on any occasion throughout the year. I wrote this work during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic. I was inspired to praise God and compose new music using text from the book of Revelation. Next to each song title, I have provided the bible verses for easy access. I arranged the songs in chronological order, but may be sung in any order. Most of the songs are easy to medium in difficulty level, including the piano accompaniment. One of the songs titled Amen! Amen! (Revelation 7:12) is sung and played in whole tone scale and is challenging to perform. There is a couple of short solos, and acapella sections throughout the cantata. Check out the MIDI sample and video of this entire cantata in my YouTube channel with the link provided. All lyrics are shown on the screen as the music is playing. Enjoy performing this cantata and to God be the glory! Performance time is about 38 minutes (with repeats).

A vivid and at times raucous celebration of Saturnalia, in Latin, for an ensemble of voices and instruments (including various percussion, woodwind and brass instruments). The sound sample is a sung performance by the composer with an electronic preview of the instruments. Further explanations: Song for Saturnalia - a raucous and fun romp - in whole tones (since there is scant evidence of the types of scales used in those days - whole tones just seem to work in this context). The Latin words make references to relatively modern times but the spirit of Saturnalia is timeless, after all. The pileum (also written pilleum) is the little cap that slave wore during Saturnalia to show they were free men and women on that day - they would point to their cap and say libertus sum (I am a free person) and omnes aequales sumus (we are all equal). The words (and translation - both by me) are as follows: Saturnalia Song Io Saturnalia! Hodie igitur dominus noster non es.
