Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1365987 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Edward Berden. Classical,Romantic Period. 9 pages. Edward Berden #950330. Published by Edward Berden (A0.1365987). Schubert wrote Winterreise in 1827, about a year before his death. The texts are poems by Wilhelm Müller who died in the year that Schubert wrote Winterreise.Schubert found the first twelve poems under the title Wanderlieder von Wilhelm Müller. It was after he set these, in February 1827, that he discovered the full series of poems in Müller's book of 1824, Poems from the posthumous papers of a travelling horn-player, dedicated to the composer Carl Maria von Weber, as a pledge of his friendship and admiration. Weber died in 1826. On 4 March 1827, Schubert invited a group of friends to his lodgings intending to sing the first group of songs, but he was out when they arrived, and the event was postponed until later in the year, when the full performance was given. This arrangement is made for SATB and can be sung with the original accompaniment by Schubert but there is also a set of parts for Wind-instruments. (English Horn, 2 Clarinets in Bb, Bassoon, French HornI hope you enjoy it.Edward Berden.

SATB choir unaccompanied - Medium - SKU: MQ.8320-E Composed by Ronald Perera. Advanced/Collegiate. Secular, Christmas, Christmas-Sacred. Octavo. 14 pages. Duration 4 minutes, 40 seconds. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #8320-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.8320-E). This setting of the well known Christmas poem 'I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day' restores some of the language that is commonly left out of most hymnals. This setting restores some of the anguish associated with the Civil War and allows for a tension not often associated with this text. A powerful setting. The title of the original Longfellow poem is 'Christmas Bells.' Charles Appleton Longfellow was the eldest son of the famous poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Fannie Elizabeth Appleton, who lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In March of 1863, with the Civil War then in its third year, nineteen year old Charley ran away to Washington to join the Union Army. He presented himself for enlistment to the commander of Battery A of the 1st Massachusetts Artillery, who knew the boy. The officer contacted Henry who reluctantly gave his permission for the boy to enlist. Charley proved himself such an exceptional soldier that he was soon offered a commission as a Second Lieutenant of Artillery. He first saw action at the Battle of Chancellorsville. In June he was briefly invalided home following a bout of typhoid fever and malaria, rejoining his unit in August. Then in November, during the Battle of New Hope Church, Charley was shot through the left shoulder, the bullet just grazing his spine. He narrowly avoided being paralyzed. Henry received word of Charley’s wounding on December 1, and he and a younger son went immediately to Washington, where Charley was in hospital, and brought him home to Cambridge. It was while nursing his son in his slow recovery that Henry Wadsworth Longfellow composed this poem during Christmas, 1863. -Ronald PereraDuration: 4:40.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1137248 Composed by John Ross. Classical,Patriotic. Octavo. 12 pages. John Ross #737448. Published by John Ross (A0.1137248). “For the Fallen†was written for Bec Beall and her choir “Lux Alba†and was premiered by them in 2019 at St Matthew’s Church, Albury, NSW, Australia. The words of this choral suite were written by the English poet Laurence Binyon in 1914, immediately after the Battle of Mons, where the British Expeditionary Force suffered a serious loss, soon after the start of World War I. The fourth verse (“They shall not grow old as we that are left grow oldâ€) has become known as the “Ode of Remembranceâ€, regularly recited at memorial services. This suite uses the words of the Ode for the first movement, with echoes of the bugle call “The Last Postâ€. The second movement, “They went with songs to the battle†portrays the soldiers as young men in fine fettle, physically and mentally fit for what lies ahead of them. The third movement, “As the stars that shall be bright as we are dust†compares the war dead to stars and constellations. They move “in marches upon the heavenly plainâ€. Will Longstaff’s painting “Menin Gate at Midnight†(reproduced on the cover of this score) movingly illustrates this concept, with ghostly soldiers marching by the Menin Gate at Ypres, Belgium. The work concludes with an alternate setting of the opening movement “They shall not grow oldâ€. A version of this suite with organ accompaniment is also available on this website.

The Battle of Kresvia is an a capella choral piece that tells the story of several knights going to fight in a mythical battle. There are several phases throughout this song. It starts out with a recurring melody of the soldiers marching, then the knights pause to dream about what they will encounter. However, all of their dreams turn to nightmares when they realize the mortal terror they will encounter. The warriors drearily march until their commander riles the troops and raises their morale. We continue the journey with the troop until the battle begins. The knights fight on to victory! Sorry for the bad audio, email me at lydiawede@gmail.com for any questions or assistance.

Metrical, mostly homophonic, and conservative in technical challenges and ranges, these canticles are accessible for small choirs and those of moderate ability, yet musically satisfying for large and accomplished groups. Phos Hilaron (“O Gladsome Lightâ€) is one of the earliest known Christian hymns (ca. 3rd-4th century) recorded outside of the Bible. Intended to be sung at the kindling of lights in the evening, it is sometimes known as the “lamp-lighting hymn†and has been adopted by some Anglican bodies as an optional invitatory canticle immediately preceding the psalm(s) appointed for the day.Magnificat (The Song of Mary) is a scriptural canticle based on an account in the Gospel of Luke (1:46-55). Mary, the expectant mother of Jesus, visits her cousin  Elizabeth, the expectant mother of John the Baptist, who will prophetically proclaim the coming of the Messiah. Elizabeth praises Mary for her faith and subjection to God’s will, and Mary responds, “My soul doth magnify the Lord ... for he that is mighty hath magnified me ... and his mercy is on them that fear him throughout all generations.†The Magnificat is said or sung immediately after the first lesson (scripture reading) in the service of evening prayer. Nunc Dimittis (The Song of Simeon) is also a scriptural canticle taken from Luke (2:29-32).  Simeon, a devout Jew, had been promised by the Holy Spirit that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah. When Mary and Joseph bring the infant Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem for the ceremony of redemption of the firstborn son, Simeon takes the child into his arms and says “Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace ... for mine eyes have seen thy salvation.†The Nunc Dimittis is said or sung after the second lesson in evening prayer.Texts for these settings are from The Book of Common Prayer (2019), Traditional Language Edition, according to the use of the Anglican Church in North America, and they are largely the texts of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England.©Copyright 2023 Todd Marchand / Con Spirito Music (ASCAP). Published by Edward Berden (A0.1016697). Schubert wrote Winterreise in 1827, about a year before his death. The text are poems by Wilhelm Müller who died in the year that Schubert wrote Winterreise. Schubert found the first twelve poems under the title Wanderlieder von Wilhelm Müller. Die Winterreise. In 12 Liedern in an almanack (Urania. Taschenbuch auf das Jahr 1823) published in Leipzig in 1823. Published by Johnson Gao (A0.1300859). Anthem of the “All nations will be perished, and the world must uniteâ€Â Colorful Number One Scholar October 3, 2023 The world was originally no any nations. The land was plundered and divided into territories.Colonize first after occupying a frontier; If you had formed a country, you must raise an army.Warfare is a deadly killing weapon,The saints use it when there are no other satisfied ways.Today's world is in ruins. The United States, China, Russia, and European Union compete. Each of them wants to dominate the world. They don't want to be cooperative diligently; They use the dirty tricks instead; They use every possible means for cunning. When the saint raises only one foot high,While the devil has already jumped ten feet tall. They are blind at what the Doomsday is coming,They still love to rob and snatch. They would like to die together; You die and I die, too. What a shame. The human body contains cells. All cells have membranes. With membranes they know how to be selfish.Selfish genes have played an important role in evolution.Love yourself and your country is only a low level of selfishness; Sacrifices oneself and destroys countries are the high level of selfishness: The world must be for the global public welfare. It is really a kind of selfish seeking benefit only for human beings. Looking at the world today, Among Emperors, Empresses, Presidents and Chairmen,No one is worthy of become a future world leader. They only know how to love themselvesAnd their countries’ benefits in a naive way; They dislike to destroy all the countries,They don’t practice the rule for world population’s commonwealth, Knowing not the brilliance patriotism in the past Has becoming the hurdles on the road to globalization. How sad, how sad!Preparing to establish the “World Leadership Education Instituteâ€. It should be put to the top priority.I advise you not to be too innocent,All nations will be perished; This is a historical march.Ah, ha, oh, eh, yah!Home sapiensism needs to be promoted. The world must be unified. ä¸è¦‹æœ«æ—¥è¿‘, é‚„è¦æ¶èˆ‡å¥ªã€‚ 情願åŒæ¸ç›¡; ä½ æ»æˆ‘ä¸æ´»ã€‚ æ¥ç¬‘何ç‰çµ•ã€‚ 人體å«ç´°èƒžã€‚ 細胞皆有膜。 有膜知自ç§ã€‚ 自ç§åŸºå› 在進化ä¸åŠŸå‹³å“著。 å°ç§æ„›å·±æ„›åœ‹; 大ç§æ¨å·±æ»… ç±Œå»ºä¸–ç•Œé ˜è¢–æ•™è‚²å¸é™¢ã€‚ å¯è¬‚當務之急。 勸å›èŽ«å¤ªè ¢, è¬åœ‹å¿…消亡; æ¤ä¹ƒæ·å²è¦å¾‹ã€‚å•Š, 哈, 哦, ä¾, å‘€! 智人主義需æ創; 世界必æ¸ä¸€ã€‚.

Latin. The work interprets in a sensitive way the effect Pope Frances, who was elected in March 2013, has on people. Based on three Argentine folk songs, the mass with its powerful and quiet parts arouses feelings of exaltation. The awakening and the joy caused by Pope Francis since his election is represented in the 'Gloria'. A varied, yet reverent work which spreads this tribute to a great man all over the world.

Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.575717). Duet based on the anonymous English poem about a centipede - the creature was quite happy with its hundred legs until a frog asked it to think about which leg comes after which... it then lay distracted in a ditch considering how to run... The sound sample is the English version, sung in B flat It can be sung by two solo voices or by a two part choir of any kind. Versions are available in English (B flat major and D major) German (F major and D major) and in French (F major and D major) the pdf file contains all of these versions. A video of the English original (in B flat) can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo25CSSE5eU These are the words of my French version of the song Un cent-pattes était bien content Mais la grenouille l'interroge «Comment sais-tu quelle patte va avant C'est la gauche ou droite ou quoi?» These are the words of my German version of the song Einem Hundertfüßler ging's ganz wohl Bis ein Frosch ihn schlau befragte Weisst du welcher Fuss nach vorne geht?

Asleep in a Blanket Spun of Energy for mixed chorus and electronic track with music by Adrienne Inglis (ASCAP) and electronic track by Trevor F. Shaw (ASCAP), a setting of the poem We Are Returning Always by Margaret Noodin from Weweni, poems in Anishinaabemowin and EnglishComposed for Inversion Ensemble’s March 2019 Dream Keeper concert, Asleep in a Blanket Spun of Energy for mixed chorus and electronic track evokes vivid imagery of Margaret Noodin’s poem We Are Returning Always. Honoring the composer’s Ojibwe ancestors, the piece sets all of the English text and a few key words of the Anishinaabemowin text from the bilingual poem that beautifully captures a glimpse into the natural and celestial wonders of the Ojibwe world. The music reflects a taste of the syncopated embellished singing, pentatonic melodies, and steady drumbeat characteristic of Ojibwe music. The electronic track provides both a compelling rhythmic foundation and a fantastical sonic representations of the moon, nebulae, supernovae, aurora borealis, and the forests of the Ojibwe lands. In addition to being the director of EQI, Margaret Noodin is an Assistant Professor in the English Department and American Indian Studies. She is a poet and the author of Bawaajimo: A Dialect of Dreams in Anishinaabe Language and Literature (2014) and Weweni: Poems in Anishinaabemowin and English (2015). She teaches the Anishinaabemowin language at UWM. Margaret is the editor of ojibwe.net. Noodin holds an MFA in Creative Writing and a PhD in English and Linguistics, both received at the University of Minnesota. Https://youtu.be/guvb5Jb31rU Written by Lester Lee & Zeke Manners in 1942, and made popular by the Andrew sisters, The Pennsylvania over years has been celebrated as one of the most popular polkas of all times and obviously the most famous State titled polka. A polka is a vivacious couple dance of Bohemian origin in duple time; was a basic pattern of hop-step-close-step; a lively Bohemian dance tune in 2/4 time. The polka was originally a Czech peasant dance, developed in Eastern Bohemia (now part of Czechoslovakia).Growing up in Pennsylvania, nd playing for various local community bands, VFW bands ,Lion's Band , etc we played the Pa Polka for many functions, churches, Seniors, Cake Walks, 4th of July programs, summer and spring concerts, marching bands, parades, and many more events. The Pennsylvania Polka is such a fun, happy song, in a march tempo beat. However, I am so proud of this arrangement as I am of the state I live in. , Another interesting fact is that people not familiar with the song informed me this sounds like a carousel music at an amusement park This arrangement would be great for holidays, church functions, Seniors, July 4th concerts, kid's programs, parades, community concerts, or just any other fun concert. It's a great song for playing and breaking up the typical monotonous flute choir music. A sure flute players favorite as well as your audiences for years to come.Smartly scored for 2 piccolos, 4 c flutes , 2 altos in G , bass flute , and contra bass flute .** however, a 5th c flute made be played for alto flute 1 . Arranged in an intermediate to advanced intermediate style ( considering the top / high instrumentation)Also, please visit my website @ www.doRaymeflute.com

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1150939 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,March,Romantic Period,Wedding. 23 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #751125. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1150939). This arrangement adapted for choir SATB and piano was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice. Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor sharp, Op. 27, No. 2, is one of his most popular compositions and was an audience favorite even in his day. Written when Beethoven was 31, the Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate in German) was composed after he finished some commissioned works, but there is no evidence that he was hired to write this work. It did not receive its nickname until 1832, five years after Beethoven's death. It was the critic Ludwig Rellstab who compared the music to a moonlighting on Lake Lucerne. This comparison was adopted as a nickname for the work. Called Quasi una fantasia by the author - like its companion Op. 27, No. 1 - the piece was completed in 1801 and dedicated the following year to one of the composer's pupils. Beethoven chose to open the sonata with a slow, hypnotic arpeggio movement, the best known of the entire work. The dotted rhythm of its minimal melody evokes the tradition of 'Trauermusik' (funeral music).
