Piano Accompaniment, Choir, SATB - Intermediate - Digital Download By Keala Settle and The Greatest Showman Ensemble. Arranged by Michael Pilley. Score. 14 pages. Published by Michael Pilley Music
From the smash hit movie musical The Greatest Showman comes a stirring song that encompasses the moral lesson of self-acceptance and triumph under adversity. Scored for SATB choir with soloist at an intermediate difficulty, this arrangement is a direct transcription off the original soundtrack and will be a sure fire hit in any program. With music by the award winning Pasek and Paul, The Greatest Showman is a movie musical based on the life of P.T. Barnum. It is a story of overcoming adversity, rising above social classes and the establishment of an entertainment visionary. Brilliantly played by Keala Settle, the bearded lady gives us an emotional rendition of This Is Me, with lyrics such as ?I won?t let them break me down to dust? and ?I am who I?m meant to be?, speaking of the struggle to be accepted in society. If you would like to accompany this with a rhythm section and 4 piece horn section, you can also buy those parts here: https://bit.ly/2HcXyVD And if you want to add some extra percussion that mirrors the original orchestration, pick up the Brass Band version here: https://bit.ly/2zxu5ig

Published by JDE FORCHRISTMUSIC (A0.940065). This piece of music is a statement of faith. The chorus states, Yes, I know, the Lord, He loves me so! It is a fun, bright song that is perfect for many different occasions.Lyrics:Verse 1Every day through life we're faced with sin and strife,We see that the heart of men is black; They say that they all know the way,They think they're satisfied with what they have. When at first we see that Jesus set us free,Our selfish self says we know what's right. But since we are filthy we must turn to the light.ChorusYes, I know, The Lord, he loves me so;He saved me from bondage deep within.I know where I'm going; I'm assured of that home,The new earth that is free from death and sin!Oh yes, I know, the Lord, he loves me so,For he took my sin and changed it for his love.Since I made him me guide I now feel certain insideThat I am going to heaven above!Verse 2None can know that day that he will showHimself to this world he made so well; He'll stand and say who chose the way of sinOr who on right things chose to dwell. If he came today, would you stand in dismayAnd say that you're not ready to depart?Be willing, accept himAs Lord into your heart.Chorus.

Kevin G. Pace #1050138. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1472492). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:Like the fog in a storm and the sun who hides its face,Like pure shadows at noon, or a star out of place,Like the moon overhead in a dark and unclear night,I beseech more earnestly, seeking God’s pure light.Like bold sighs braving pain in Gethsemane’s lone space,Like the rock placed therein meant for grief’s leaning place,As blood dripping like rain for the pain is far too great,I beseech more earnestly, seeking God’s own traits.Like a child asking “How?” to his Father up above,Like each step to ascend on his ladder of love,Like each stretch sure to reach far beyond what I now know,I beseech more earnestly, trusting God to show. All at once I see light like a ray in shadowed sky,And it peers through each sphere as God’s voice in reply. Then more light, as if day, sheds its warmth into my soul . . .I still ask more earnestly, trusting to be whole.Perfect light comes from Him as He answers from his sky; From my bowed, lowered head, I can know Him on high.Perfect love shines below, from his ever-holy form,Right into my mended soul . . . his love to adorn.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927456 Composed by Roger Jones, Alison Fuggle. Arranged by Annie Routley. Christian,Easter,Musical/Show,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 98 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything … you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM … O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites … you can be saved too … if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected … on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171401 Composed by Roger Quilter. 20th Century,Classical. Octavo. 24 pages. Forsyth Brothers Ltd #771738. Published by Forsyth Brothers Ltd (A0.1171401). A delightful early opus from one of the most individual English songwriters of the Twentieth Century, Roger Quilter (1877-1953). The texts are taken from the works of Seventeenth Century English poet Robert Herrick (ca 1591-1674) whose lyrics Quilter also set to music in his Opus 8 song-cycle To Julia (1905). The Opus 7 settings are dedicated to Quilter's friend Percy Grainger.FIVE LYRICS OF ROBERT HERRICK (SATB & Piano): Cupid A Dirge Morning Song To Electra To Violets  CupidLove, like a beggar came to meWith hose and doublet torn; His shirt bedangling from his knee,With hat and shoes outworn. He asked an alms; I gave him bread,And meat too for his need,Of which, when he had fully fed,He wished me all good speed.Away he went, but as he turned,In faith I know not how,He touched me so, as that I burnedAnd am tormented now. Love’s silent flames and fires obscureThen crept into my heart; And though I saw no bow, I’m sureHis finger was the dart. A DirgeHere she lies, in bed of spice,Fair as Eve in ParadiseFor her beauty was suchPoets could not praise too much.Virgins come, and in a ringHer supremest requiem sing. Then depart but see ye treadLightly, lightly o’er the dead.Morning Song Let's now take our time,While we're in our prime,And old, old age is afar off:For the evil, evil daysWill come on apace,Before we can be aware of. To ElectraI dare not ask a kiss;I dare not beg a smile;Lest, having that or this,I might grow proud the while. No, no, the utmost shareOf my desire shall beOnly to kiss the airThat lately kissèd thee. To VioletsWelcome, maids of honour! You do bringIn the SpringAnd wait upon her She has virgins manyFresh and fair;Yet you areMore sweet than anyY'are the maiden posiesAnd so graced,To be placed'Fore damask roses.Yet though thus respectedBy and byYe do lie,Poor girls, neglected.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1129659 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Kathryn W. Hales. 20th Century,Blues,Jazz,Religious,Spiritual. Octavo. 14 pages. Kevin G. Pace #730069. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1129659). A fun, jazzy, energetic choral composition telling the story of Ebed-Melech and how he saved the prophet Jeremiah. Music by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Kathryn W. Hales. Text: The Good Book says that Moses Was buried by the hand of God; And those bitten by fiery serpents Were healed by lookin’ at a rod. Elijah was taken up to heaven By a chariot of fire, But the prophet Jeremiah Was cast into a pit of mire. “Can’t you hear me, Lord?†Jeremiah is a’cryin’, “Wilt Thou deliver me? For I am surely dyin’.†The Lord touched the heart On one Ethiopian And says to Ebed-Melech, “Go and save my son.†That black man, he did hearken And went straight up to the king, “What you’ve done to Jeremiah Is a very wicked thing.†“Can’t you see his misery? Can’t you hear him cryin’? Let me deliver him, O King, For he is surely dyin’.†Then Zedekiah repented, Said, “Go get Jeremiah Out of that old dungeon Out of the pit of mire. Take thirty strong men with you Do not delay or wait, Bring the prophet up again Before it is too late.†Ebed went to the pit, Called down into the dark, “I’s a comin’ to save you, Now, oh man, take heart. The king has relented, But before we start, Put old rags beneath your arms, So the ropes won’t leave a mark. Poor Jeremiah was so weak, He’d almost lost all hope, The men did gently lift him up ‘Cause he couldn’t climb the rope. He was kept in prison, But now he had some food, Until the Babylonians came To seize the multitude. ‘Twas an Ethiopian that saved him, A servant to Judah’s King, Blessed be the name of Ebed-Melek For doin’ such brave things. The Lord uses many people From every tribe and race To be an instrument in His hands, An implement of His grace. “Repent all House of Judah,†Jeremiah kept on a’cryin’, “Turn unto the Lord again, Otherwise you’all be dyin’. His words come down through the years To the people of today, “Repent and turn back to the Lord, And walk His chosen Way.â€.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1028776 Composed by Colby A. Aguilar. 20th Century. 58 pages. Colby Aguilar #3927015. Published by Colby Aguilar (A0.1028776). Si Je Peut T'Aimer details the emotion of love through various seasons from the fruits of Spring to the requiems of Winter, and the roller-coaster rides throughout. Near the end, desperation starts to show, but as acceptance starts to settle in, the music slows and ends with a cadence signifying that it's time to move on.It can be performed by anyone who'd like to use, I have no set audience in mind. It can be performed by schools if they so wish and can be used to show the various displays of emotion that music can display using different methods of composition. However, I would refrain from any sorts of religious service as this is best served as entertainment. In regards to the choir, stagger breathing is highly recommended for the difficult parts, or whenever feels necessary- which could be after ever dotted half note/ measure, or after every phrase. The dynamics are left to the director or the people who shall perform it. This leaves it to be personalised for each group, and unique to each one's own story; I just gave the template. To note: one can replace the choir with another 2 cellos and 2 violins, if desired. It is also important to note that when playing, the choir is the accompaniment to the piano and strings, and serves to reinforce the story that is being told, not explicitly telling the story itself.  .

Published by Kevin Longley (A0.1019372). Where Is JesusInspiration January 1st, 2021 was the start of my official retirement from a wonderful company that I had been employed at for 40+ years, Cirtronics Corporation. Where Is Jesus was my first retirement music so to speak. A 2 measure musical idea came to me in early January. Several weeks later I had the overall structure completed and started inputting the score into my music program. At this point I had no lyrical ideas, however with Easter approaching it occurred to me that the musics dramatic content leaned heavily towards Good Friday, in spirit. As I pondered that, I couldn't help but wonder what the disciples thought when Jesus was taken. Certainly they would question where he was, question what had happened. Thus was born Where is Jesus with the lyrical content asking and then answering. The Music The music is comprised of an A section which begins with the Tenors and Altos singing Where Is Jesus. The choir then responds (in chronological order, as recorded in the Gospels ) with lyrics that describe the brutality that Jesus endured. Here the weight of what has occurred is felt with the lyrics and music evoking great emotion. The B section follows; a retrospective look back sung by the soloist, stating that all had transpired as foretold, or as stated, by Jesus and the prophets. A C section is then introduced which contains the hope then, and the crux now, of our faith deaths chain cannot have its reign, he will rise, he will rise. After a short piano interlude we are returned to the A section, now modulated to a higher key; here the most emotional section of the music is felt with the raw truth of what has happened. He is nailed to the cross, he has died, we are lost. The piece then ends as it started Where Is Jesus, to be answered three days later.

Kevin G. Pace #810732. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1213541). A sublime, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.  The text to this hymn is in reference to the miracle when Christ passed through the hostile multitude.  See Luke 4:28-30.Text:On a Sabbath day, and in the synagogue,Jesus said revealing words unto a gathered throng:“I am sent to bind up broken-hearted souls,And to publish liberty, to make all captives whole.â€â€œI am God’s own Son,†was ref’renced as He spoke. But the worshippers that day desired His words revoked.Seeking for a sign, a miracle to show,Was their true intention then, so they would surely know.Jesus did decline to grant this selfish gift,So the mob determined to propel Him from a cliff.Jesus’ miracle was passing through unseenFrom this crowd in Nazareth, so He could be set free.Jesus walked away to fill our ev’ry need.He performs true miracles and for us intercedes. So we can be free, He freed Himself that day.As He passes through our lives, we see and learn His ways.
