Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus divisi - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1517275 By Ariana Grande. By Ariana Grande, Ilya, Max Martin, and Savan Kotecha. Arranged by Andrew Montano. A Cappella,Pop. 14 pages. Andrew Montano #1091453. Published by Andrew Montano (A0.1517275). 9-Part DivisiSolo 1 (Alto/Mezzo)Solo 2 (Mezzo/Soprano)SSA (3-Part split)TenorBaritone Bass (2-Part Split)On May 22, 2017, in Manchester, England, Ariana Grande performed at the Manchester Arena with an estimated gathering of 14,000 people. At 10:31 p.m., as fans began leaving the concert through the City Room, an explosion detonated leaving thousands injured and twenty-three dead, including the suicide bomber.Grande was devastated from the trauma and took a hiatus from performing. She felt responsible protecting her fans and was ashamed she couldn't prevent the attack.Upon breaking her silence, Grande announced her new single, No Tears Left to Cry, accompanied with album art of Grande's side profile, upside-down text, and a streak of rainbow across her eye. If there are stormy skies, then there's a chance a rainbow will appear. Rainbows symbolize hope and optimism, which explains why the rainbow can be found near her eye.In the music video, Grande travels around locations in various camera angles, which disorients the viewer and gives no indication where the solid ground is. Video director Dave Meyers explains, We sort of explore the ambiguity of whether we need to find the ground or the ground is just what you make of it. It relates to the optimism in her song. This song is a reflection of the past and coming out stronger than before. Throughout life, there are many moments we may experience such as grief, trauma, abuse, neglect, etc. We all have our own personal struggles, and No Tears Left to Cry promotes a self-uplift that things do and will get better.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1028776 Composed by Colby A. Aguilar. 20th Century. 58 pages. Colby Aguilar #3927015. Published by Colby Aguilar (A0.1028776). Si Je Peut T'Aimer details the emotion of love through various seasons from the fruits of Spring to the requiems of Winter, and the roller-coaster rides throughout. Near the end, desperation starts to show, but as acceptance starts to settle in, the music slows and ends with a cadence signifying that it's time to move on.It can be performed by anyone who'd like to use, I have no set audience in mind. It can be performed by schools if they so wish and can be used to show the various displays of emotion that music can display using different methods of composition. However, I would refrain from any sorts of religious service as this is best served as entertainment. In regards to the choir, stagger breathing is highly recommended for the difficult parts, or whenever feels necessary- which could be after ever dotted half note/ measure, or after every phrase. The dynamics are left to the director or the people who shall perform it. This leaves it to be personalised for each group, and unique to each one's own story; I just gave the template. To note: one can replace the choir with another 2 cellos and 2 violins, if desired. It is also important to note that when playing, the choir is the accompaniment to the piano and strings, and serves to reinforce the story that is being told, not explicitly telling the story itself.  .

Choral Choir (SATB divisi) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.931836 Composed by Nathan Petitpas - Dots and Beams. Instructional. Octavo. 137 pages. Dots and Beams #4776187. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931836). This collection presents its user with a series of increasingly difficult rhythms on a single pitch. The rhythmic material in this series is organized into 10 difficulty levels. Each difficulty level contains four exercises in each of the following time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8. This gives exercises in 2, 3, and 4 beats per bar in both simple and compound meters. The first two exercises of each time signature have no ties while the remaining two exercises in each time signature include ties. In Book 1 of this series you’ll find difficulty levels 1 to 5, while Book 2 completes the set with levels 6 to 10. The exercises in this collection are intentionally random and difficult to internalize. They don’t follow any predictable or standard groove pattern, but instead are random successions of eighth- and sixteenth-note groupings within the prescribed difficulty level. In keeping the rhythmic material as unpredictable as possible the door is left open for the materials to be used in conjunction with any number of exercises, while forcing the user to process every rhythm as its own event without relying on pattern recognition to help in identifying the rhythms. To curate the difficulty of rhythm in as objective a way as possible I looked at all of the possible eighth-note and sixteenth-note groupings within the basic unit of one beat. Each difficulty level builds on the exercises of the previous by adding groupings that are slightly more conceptually challenging. Difficulty Level 9 contains all possible groupings, while Level 10 focuses on the more challenging groupings by omitting easy ones. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Practice sight-reading. When doing so it is encouraged to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a particular exercise for a long period of time. The goal in practising sight-reading is not to learn the material but to develop the skill of reading new material. Use a metronome! The most important thing you can do with this material is learn how to read these rhythms and play them in time. Advanced metronome work: Place the metronome click on weak beats. With the metronome clicking only on the beat you run the risk of relying on the metronome to give you the time. Placing the metronome click on non-strong beats forces you to take responsibility for the time. For example, instead of putting the metronome click on each quarter-note in 4/4, play the exercise with the metronome giving the second eighth note of each beat, or the last sixteenth note, or beats 2 and 4, or only the downbeat of each bar. Be creative with this one! The possibilities are limitless. Develop independence between hands by playing a repeating pattern in one hand while reading an exercise in the other. Expand on this by adding patterns in hands and feet while reading a rhythm with a remaining limb. This is a great exercise for drummers and percussionists but any instrumentalist could benefit from coordination practice. Use these rhythms to practice scales. Instead of playing scales in straight sixteenth-notes, try playing them in the rhythms given in these exercises. Write in sticking patterns, dynamics, accents, phrase marks, or other articulations for you or your students to practice. If you’re not happy with the ties I included, feel free to add some of your own. Combine the above exercises in any way that you think will be beneficial to your practice. As with any of the Dots and Beams books, the uses for this particular collection are limited only by the imagination of the musician using it. I encourage anybody using this book to find as many uses for these exerci.

Christian Music Ministries #6135917. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927456). Rock - a worship musical.Full piano score with SATB choir, solo parts and narration.Starting in Caesarea, Peter's story unfolds in flashback. From fishing, his 3 years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus calls Peter 'the Rock' - but we see that only in Christ, and filled with His Spirit, is Peter on solid ground.Synopsis Traditional words introduce the theme of the Musical: Jesus is our ROCK OF AGES, but the story starts IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. Here, centurion Cornelius declares I’ve had a vision - but who can explain it, who can help? Cornelius’ household tell of Simon Peter, a disciple of Jesus, and we are taken back to Galilee when Peter, a fisherman, WORKING IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, hears Jesus’ call to leave your nets and leave your boats. He responds I WILL FOLLOW YOU. For three years Peter follows Jesus, and when challenged declares YOU ARE MESSIAH, the Son of the living God! Jesus replies On this rock I will build my church, then, ominously, points towards Jerusalem. He and his followers eventually arrive in the city at Passover, and during the meal they wonder IN THIS BREAD, IN THIS WINE, is there love for me? At first reluctant, Peter allows Jesus to wash his feet. Events turn against Jesus; he is arrested, and Peter is afraid. The taunt SURELY YOU MUST HAVE BEEN WITH HIM sees Peter denying he ever knew Jesus. Then their eyes meet across the courtyard, and Peter is devastated by his own failure. But even at such an awful time as this, THE LOOK OF LOVE contains acceptance and hope. WERE YOU THERE WHEN THEY CRUCIFIED MY LORD? Peter wasn’t - he was in hiding along with many of the disciples. But after the resurrection, Jesus greets Peter and the others in Galilee: THIS IS THE PLACE – I am the Lord who comes to meet you here. Jesus asks: SIMON PETER, DO YOU LOVE ME? After being asked three times Peter reaches reality: Lord, you know everything … you know how much I love you! and receives the commission Feed my sheep. Peter and the disciples return to Jerusalem, and wait for the promised Holy Spirit. At Pentecost the Spirit comes, and as A CHOSEN PEOPLE, the followers of Jesus receive his power. Peter preaches, and thousands believe and respond JUST AS I AM … O Lamb of God I come. The Church is born and in the power of the Spirit begin WORKING IN THE FATHER’S BUSINESS, doing the things that Jesus did! Peter eventually arrives IN CAESAREA BESIDE THE SEA. He shares his vision with Cornelius and his household, and declares God has no favourites … you can be saved too … if you believe in Jesus. They believe, receive the power of the Spirit, and Gentiles also become members of the Chosen People, called out of darkness into wonderful light! Peter’s vision is fulfilled – the Gospel is for all who believe in Jesus. Peter declares HE IS THE STONE that the builders rejected … on Jesus the ROCK I will build my life! .

Bring His LoveInspiration (below is a note I sent to my sister) Hi Karen! In the fall of last year I started working on a new church anthem for FUMC. Over the years your choir has sung several pieces of mine; so I felt I should do something in return. I quickly got an idea for the music only (sometimes I will get some lyric ideas also, but didn't this time.) By the first of the year I had the basic structure sketched out on paper but then put it aside for Easter Rehearsals. When the pandemic stopped all church choirs I returned to the music and by early May had the score in the computer, close to completion. At that point I still didn't have any lyrics but began feeling that it should be about God's creation. All I could envision was a singer with his arms stretched out to the sun, the ocean, the moon, etc. while singing this piece. So I started searching for a possible prayer that might fit and came upon Canticle of the Son. As I read it through I liked the structure and began sketching out the lyrics. I couldn't help but wonder what our response should be to God's creation. How should we thank him or praise him or take care of it? I then turned my thoughts to FUMC and considered this - what phrase would sum up this churches mission? I almost immediately got Bring His Love. From there the balance of the lyrics fell into place. So attached is the recording and the music. I have no expectations but hope you and the choir enjoy the music. The Music The piece starts with 16th note broken chords in the upper register of the piano which lead to the opening theme. A tenor soloist begins by singing God's praises for all he has given us; ending with the thought How can we thank such kindness?; The answer Bring His Love the B section. At its conclusion we are returned to the opening theme, this time sung by the choir which again leads us to the same questionHow can we thank such kindness?, The answer Bring His Love the B section. A C section is then introduced with a change to a more beat driven accompaniment with the vocals alternating between the upper and lower voices. A return to the opening theme, with minimal chordal accompaniment, features the original soloist but then adds a second voice leading to a duet and a return to the broken chord accompaniment.. Finally the B section,Bring His Love is repeated and concludes in a rousing fashion.. Program Notes The piece could work very well for Earth Day celebrations.
