Rhythmicity is the state of being rhythmic or responding rhythmically. The piece is centered on a catchy Latin groove giving both the singers and instrumentalists lots of moments in a jazz-classical crossover. James Knox creates a multi-layering affect in vocal and clapping in short motifs throughout the piece until it goes into a frenzy; almost to a point of a controlled state of chaos! The added percussive parts (shaker and cajon) simply add to the groove of the piece and should be played in a improvisational style.

Nature, in the broadest sense, is the natural, physical, material world and the universe. The word nature derived from the Latin word natura or naturae, and dates to ancient times and literally means “birthâ€. When describing nature, we often think of words such as breathtaking, majestic, beautiful, or inherent objects can leave the impression of complexion, oddly peculiar with emotions. The thoughts and images associated with nature events inspired me to create reflective choral pieces called Naturae (wild by nature). Each movement provides the listener with different moods and thoughts of isolated musical examples of untamed elements of our natural world on earth.

The readers are trapped with the speaker and the various interpretations as to what spell the speaker has a variety of interpretations. But whatever the spell and for whatever reason, the speaker makes it clear that she is held captive by a spell that immobilizes her even though there seems to be an impending doom. The speaker knows that something dreadful is coming her way, and yet she is unable to move. SATB divisi, celeste, crystal glasses, percussion.
