SATB choir, optional congregation, organ, trumpet - Moderately Easy - SKU: MQ.60-8704A-E Composed by Milburn Price. All Saints/All Souls. Instrument parts. 5 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #60-8704A-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.60-8704A-E). Based on the familiar HYFRYDOL tune and paired with a new text that treats past heritage, present circumstances, and future challenges as inter-related aspects of the life of a church. Though suitable for general use, this setting would be particularly appropriate for an occasion that both celebrates faith heritage and considers present and future ministries, such as an anniversary celebration or the dedication of new facilities. The treatment of the tune retains sufficient harmonic familiarity to preserve its accustomed sound, but provides sufficient harmonic change to offer a fresh approach.**Organist plays from the Full Score.**Congregational page and trumpet parts included in separate Full Score.

Choral Choir (Mixed) - Level 2 - SKU: A0.844486 Composed by Phil Beaman. Christian,Holiday,Sacred,World. Octavo. 43 pages. Phil Beaman #3428683. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844486). Jubilee of Thanks was commissioned for the Grenada National Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. Although heavily based on traditional coronation music it is generic enough to be suitable for any service of Thanksgiving or Celebration. Here is the description found inside the cover of the conductor's score:In order to gain inspiration and insight into this commission I researched British Coronations past and present. One of the oldest traditions is the use of Handel's oratorio Zadok the Priest. This 144-page composition was written for the coronation of King George II in 1727 and has been used at every coronation since. Thus I began my composition with a Handelian style section, borrowing a phrase from Zadok the Priest and developing it into a fanfare opening. Into this section I interjected the traditional cry of Long live the Queen, but set it in the old church Latin. The middle section arranges the hymn Now Thank We All Our God, originally written in 1663. This hymn is regarded all across Europe as the official anthem for services of National Thanksgiving. I created different settings for all three verses. Another tradition of British coronations is the use of Psalms 100 and 120. I have taken just one line from each Psalm and woven it into the hymn as a descant or antiphon. The final section is a Hallelujah Chorus fusing tradition with local flavour by using soca rhythms. In a sly nod to the opening section the very last choral Alleluia is straight from Handel's Messiah.Phil BeamanMarch 2012The choir is in 2 part but much of it unison since it was intended for a massed choir with little rehearsal. Interest comes from the changing styles of each section, 7 key changes, 3 meter changes, and the 2 Trumpets accompanying. A 4 minute easy piece of thanks and celebration. This entry contains 30 pages of Conductors Score, 7 pages Keyboard Part, and 2 pages @ Trumpet Parts. For convenience a separate entry at SO.309227 contains the 10 pages of Choral Parts in a Lead Sheet format with just lyrics and melody of the Choir Parts.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.828704 Composed by Giovanni Bononcini, Giovanni Battista Bononcini. Arranged by Guido Menestrina. Baroque,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 44 pages. Guido Menestrina #368381. Published by Guido Menestrina (A0.828704). Anthem which was performed in King Henry the Seventh's Chappel at the Funeral of the most Noble & Victorious Prince John Duke of Marlborough By Giovanni Bononcini (1670-1747) transcribed by Guido Menestrina Il padre, Giovanni Maria Bononcini (Buononcini) (1642-1678), era stato violinista e compositore: attivo alla corte di Modena, aveva scritto un trattato, Musico prattico, pubblicato nel 1673.

SATB choir, organ or piano, percussion, and string quartet - Medium - SKU: MQ.56-0101-E Composed by Howard Goodall. Advent, Annunciation, Lessons and Carols. 12 pages. Duration 4 minutes, 31 seconds. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #56-0101-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.56-0101-E). Latin. John 1:14.Originally conceived for the ensemble Enchanted Voices, these carols for SSA voices and organ (or piano) represent the composer’s desire for the tunes and texts to be heard in a new and fresh way. Largely contemplative, sometimes set against a gently-undulating foundation, these work well for concert and church use. Sometimes ethereal, sometimes other-worldly, the pieces succeed in bringing together the ancient purity of the medieval past and the here and now. Duration 4:31Instrumental Parts include: Percussion (2/3 players: glockenspiel/handbells/crotales), Organ (or Piano), Strings (1-1-1-1).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.866214 Composed by Jeffrey Ouper. Christian,Christmas,Contemporary,Sacred. Octavo. 19 pages. Jeffrey Ouper #2894533. Published by Jeffrey Ouper (A0.866214). Winter's Breath is an original Christmas song for SATB Choir & Piano accompaniment. There is some divided parts in the soprano. The song's duration is about 6 minutes. Winter's Breath is perfect for holiday concerts and worship services. There is also a version for solo voice available.About the song:Winter’s Breath is an original Christmas song (original music and lyrics) composed in 2014. The lyrics embrace both a secular and religious message of peace, love, and hope inspired by the beauty of winter snow. I really wanted to write a more profound Christmas song with an important message embracing a modern view of Christmas since so many songs are commercialized or limited in meaning.Having lived in the Arizona desert since 2007, snow has become a novelty to me, and I was inspired by its beauty and the memories I had of winter growing up in northern Illinois. The chorus that repeats throughout the song presents an irony of winter warming the soul. I found this to be both interesting and also meaningful in that I was describing my new viewpoint of winter snow (seeing more beauty in it than before) and presenting a metaphor for life-one that encourages the listener to see the beauty in something that most northerners despise. The first verse begins with sensory perceptions including seeing, hearing, touching, and smelling various natural qualities of winter. The second verse describes the joy of children playing in the snow and their belief in winter stories. The third verse is directed at worrying adults with a message of hope for the future. The bridge encourages the listener to look past the negativity and differences in other people and look towards Christmas and the new year for a hope renewed. The final verse concludes with the traditional religious view of Christmas tradition.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.926666 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 15 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588437. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926666). In 1 John, we witness the Apostle (that Jesus loved) writing as the elder statesman of the faith in the last third of the 1st century. In chapter two, verse seven, John refers to the church as beloved and proceeds by telling them of a new commandment. He says (verses 9-11), Whoever loves his brother, abides in the light and there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. From this text, John immediately segues into verses 12-14, to affirm for his followers that as far as they are concerned, there is no darkness in them for they are the children of the Light to whom he was earlier referring. John achieves this transition by employing yet another 1st century Hymn to Christ, which I have entitled, Through His Name. This anthem is an affirmation of the faith, first to the little children, then to the fathers, and then to the young men. What is very interesting is that the first stanza is written in the present tense (I am writing to you) but the second stanza, with very similar wording, is written in the past tense (I have written to you). It’s as if to say, you heard the Gospel message before, and you believed, and I am writing it to you again, so that you may continue to believe.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.969602 Composed by Zachary Damm. Christian,Easter,Sacred,Spiritual,Standards. Octavo. 17 pages. Digital Print Publishing #6620047. Published by Digital Print Publishing (A0.969602). The first in a trilogy of Messianic Psalms, Psalm 22 poignantly presents the Good Shepherd, giving His life for the sheep, then rising again triumphantly. The contrast between the minor and major keys of the first and second sections adequately portray the humiliation and exaltation of the Savior. This Psalm is a moving and fresh piece of music for Easter services, or any time of the year. Psalm 23 is the second in the trinity including Psalms 22 and 24 and presents the Great Shepherd, having died and risen again, caring for His sheep. The lively, flowing rhythm and the simple melody create a pleasant pastoral atmosphere that captures the message of this popular Psalm. The last of a trilogy of Psalms including Psalms 22 and 23, Psalm 24 presents the Chief Shepherd, returning to rule over the world. A triumphant organ part accompanies the jubilant choir to welcome the King.See also other Psalms and works by this composer including the aforementioned titles sold individually. SATB chorus - SKU: BJ.1406 Composed by Sofia Söderberg. Christian. Octavo. 8 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1406. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1406). 8.27 x 11.7 inches.Music based on Gregorian themes. In the autumn of 2015, Malmo Live Vokalensemble performed Thierry Machuel's Paroles contre l'oubli - words against oblivion. In a large-scale art project, prisoners serving a life sentence at the Clairvaux high-security prison in north-eastern France were interviewed by the composer, who set their stories to music. The piece is incredibly dark, coloured by the innermost thoughts of individuals who know they will never again be free, people who are slipping into oblivion. Clairvaux wasn't always a prison, though - it was formerly an important monastery. Established by St. Bernhard in 1115 and closed in connection with the French Revolution, Clairvaux is a mythic place. For some, it is an abbey where thousands of monks voluntarily chose the path of saints, plunging themselves into the blessed silence of darkness. For others, it is a prison, the sheer name of which inspires terror and generates horrific images. My intention was that we, with our concert, would create a bridge between the present and the past, between incarceration and voluntary solitude. So I sought out the historical sources for our earliest notated music, from the French abbey of Solemn, and composed a variety of versions based on Gregorian themes. Kyrie and Agnus Dei are two of them. - Sofia Soderberg.

The text for “Sancta Maria†is taken from a poem from Edgar Allen Poe's short story Morella, and from different revisions of the poem throughout Poe's life. The text is one of longing and of finding a sense of hope and peace when parts of our life seem to spiral out of our control. This piece was written for my family. Sancta Maria! At morn - at noon - at twilight dim - Maria! thou hast heard my hymn! In joy and woe - in good and ill - Mother of God, be with me still! When the Hours flew brightly by, And not a cloud obscured the sky, My soul, lest it should truant be, Thy grace did guide to thine and thee; Now, when storms of Fate o'ercast Darkly my Present and my Past, Let my Future radiant shine With sweet hopes of thee and thine! -Text by Edgar Allen Poe.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - SKU: A0.926671 Composed by Michael A. Morizio. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 24 pages. M.A. Morizio #3588445. Published by M.A. Morizio (A0.926671). My dear friend, and Pastor Don Colageo and I cut our teeth together with this piece when we decided to dive headlong into this cycle of Seven Anthems to Christ. It was the second song of the (SEVEN ANTHEMS TO CHRIST) cycle that I had composed, but the first using his Greek translation(s). It eventually would become the last piece to grace the cycle of seven in order of my musical presentation sequence. In fact, this known 1st century Hymn to Christ spans 18 verses of the first chapter of the Gospel of John. My setting of the anthem is seven plus minutes long in performance length. The song's length was not on purpose, but the number seven does have Biblical significance (seven days of creation, seven golden lamp stands, etc.) The number seven is also known among Biblical scholars as the number of Holiness and Perfect Creation. Since this rather long, yet theologically complete Hymn to Christ already existed in the 1st century, it is no wonder the Apostle John opted to begin his Gospel with it, probably quoting the entire text. Consequently, he converted this particular Hymn to Christ’s lyrics into what would later become canonized Scripture. The anthem is composed for SSATB with solo SSA trio, and Solo Soprano and Solo Baritone lines, accompanied by Flute and B♠Clarinet. The key signature of the anthem is B♠Major. However, a lot of time is spent weaving and bobbing around the Dominant chord, (F Major). The Flute and Clarinet introduction play seven different motifs, interweaving with counterpoint, musically connoting the dual natures of Christ--fully God, and fully man. An SSA trio opens the piece recounting the creation story. A bass solo shortly follows, introducing John the baptizer's story and purpose. Soon, the anthem breaks out into full SSATB illustrating Christ's life and purpose for our salvation. The final coda is the great Doxology, sung in 5 parts, accompanied by the Flute and Clarinet, and the entire congregation (or audience) is invited to sing along with the familiar tune.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1012606 Composed by Michelle Kraak. Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred. 16 pages. Michelle Kraak #6102931. Published by Michelle Kraak (A0.1012606). The Betrayal is written for choir (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). It is a religious piece based on the passion of Christ. It has aspects of imitation, with a lot of independence in the parts. The vocal parts represent the voice of Jesus, the voices of those who crucified him, a narrator, and also briefly the voice of Peter, Jesus' disciple. The bass primarily sings the role of the people who called for his death, but as the piece continues others join in this role. I wrote some of the lyrics and also pulled some verses in from the Bible. I think this would be a great piece for Holy Week, perhaps on Good Friday or Maundy Thursday. the piece captures some of the intense emotions involved in the crucifixion and would make a great addition to Lenten music in the church. Lyrics:Why did you leave me?Why did you run?I absolved you of your sin. Jesus Christ must die for what he's done. I absolved you of your sin,I saved you from yourselves,I just wanted to lead you,Closer to God. Death! I wanted to give you new life. Three times you will deny me, Woman I do not know him! Jesus Christ must die for what he's done. Why did you leave me? Why did you run?I absolved you of your sin.I saved you from yourselves,I just wanted to lead you, Closer to God. Jesus I didn't know him.I don't know the man! Jesus Christ must die for what he's done. Peter struck him!Cut off his ear,Jesus touched him and healed him,Though the man had come for him. Jesus Christ must die for what he's done. Why should Jesus die for what he's done? Why did I forsake the Son of God?I'd have called for him to be crucified. We are no better,Then the past. Why did you forsake me,Why did you forsake me? Forgive them,For they do not know what they're doing. Forgive them,For they do not know what they're doing. Betrayed with a kiss.
