The actual melody is much older and its origin unknown.The arrangement here is intended for an ensemble of guitars of mixed levels of experience. The verses and chorus are set in both G major, A major and then G major again. Groups can shorten or lengthen a performance if desired, according to experience.Arrangement details are as follows:Guitar 1 - has the main melody and also plays in harmony with Guitar 2. Higher-position playing is required later in the arrangement, if the the full version is performed.Guitar 2 - often harmonises, and plays in canon with Guitar 1. There is some high-position playing required in the full version.Guitar 3 - is intended for beginners and is an optional part. It consists of dotted half notes (minims) throughout.Guitar 4 - has chords throughout. I have provided chord symbols for those familiar with this system. The harmonies given in the notes and TAB are designed to facilitate left-hand chord changes. The ?Literacy Path? is a purely avant-garde work that initially was written for a progressive jazz band. This, in any way, does not mean that the work should be taken merely as a transcription of the original version. On the contrary, I succeeded to interpret the idea in a very inventive manner, and to show the full potential and specifics of a four Guitars ensemble. The PDF Sheet Music of the composition contains 26 pages (main score 10 pages, parts ? 12 pages, 1 page with explanations, cover and the title page). Fingering is indicated where appropriate. The \"Hutsul Party\" is another work based on the Hutsul folklore. The compositionis written for a Guitar quartet and may be interesting for those who is fond ofrock music with complex rhythms and \"heavy\" sounding. The ethnic musical elementsare emphasized also with the use of a drymba (jew\'s-harp) ? an authenticfolklore instrument which makes the entire music picture of the work reallypeculiar.

�Christmas Bells� -- an uplifting and stylish composition, suitable for any Christmas concert or celebration. The composition is scored for four guitars supported with bells/triangle, it is very easy to perform so even the youngest musicians can join the ensemble and become a part of the celebration. More easy pieces for classical guitar and guitar ensembles can be found in the �Music Pocketbook� collections which are available here at ArrangeMe. The �Christmas Bells� for quintet, as well as the �Christmas Bells� for guitar solo, are included into the collection �Music Pocketbook II�. Fuga on El Noi de la Mare is a new piece for guitar quartet. It is a fugue based on the main melody of the beautiful Catalan Christmas song, El Noi de la Mare, made famous by the great Andres Segovia.

After a fugal exposition, the original melody is presented with a range of harmonisations. There are very few technical difficulties for the players.

The download includes a full score and individual parts in notes for all players.

The parts can be played one-to-a-part or as a larger ensemble making ideal for guitar societies, schools, summer schools and festivals.

Perhapsour instrument?s greatest joy is the fact that it exists in so many forms andstyles of music. Some players prefer the electric guitar and read from TAB,others have a classical background and are therefore more familiar with notes;others still prefer reading from chord charts with fretboard diagrams.

Thisdownload considers all of these musicians.

Guitar1 is the main tune, as played by Hank Marvin in The iconic recording made byThe Shadows. The music is provided in both notes and TAB.

Guitar 2is a part with chords. This is given with chord symbols, fretboard diagrams andrhythm patterns.

Guitar3 is designed to include the less-experienced player. It is in open positionand the part, being easy to read, is given in notes. This is an optional part.

Guitar 4is a transcription of the bass line. It is an interesting andrhythmically-exciting part. It is in simple positions and is given in notesonly.

Guitar4 can also be played by a bass guitar. The part is also given in bass clef(sounding an octave lower).

A short, easy arrangement of the theme from Antonin Dvorak's famous New World Symphony (2nd Movement).

This arrangement provides a full score plus individual parts in both notes and TAB. The notes and TAB are given on separate sheets as I am aware that some teachers avoid TAB.

The parts are equally balanced with every guitarist enjoying some melodic interest.

The level is suitable for very early stage players. The music:

(1) Remains in open position
(2) Uses finger-friendly pentatonic shapes (as supported by many major pedagogic schemes)
(3) Requires players to alternate single notes between both thumb and fingers
(4) Gives time and space before engaging more-tricky fretted notes.
