MarchThe two outside movements are very easily understood, but the two inside movements are unique in that they convey musical effects as per their titles.Here is what composer David Fetter says about Elysian Suite.The Elysian Suite is a four-movement quartet composed for Nathan Siler and the Elysian Trombone Consort who premiered it at the 2020 American Trombone Workshop. It is a substantial work around which one can build a recital program, while the Fanfare can be extracted for festive occasions.This wonderful, dramatic 10-minute work is appropriate for advanced performers.

Trombone Bells for Christmas for 6-part Trombone Ensemble is a unique and great sounding arrangement by Tommy Copper of three traditional Christmas carols: Carol of the Bells, What Child is This and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Both being in a quick 3/4 time make them perfect together. Tommy uses bell tones from the ensemble to create a magical atmosphere for the listener.Appropriate for moderately advanced to advanced performers, the instrumentation is for 4 tenor trombones (parts 1 & 2 in tenor clef) and 2 bass trombones.

These TWO SUITES were composed in response to a request form Heini Schneebeli, the musical director of ‘TROMBONANZA 2017’. Santa Fe in Argentina is the backdrop for this exciting annual event involving many hundreds of student and professional players. The SECOND SUITE has five movements and is intended for a quartet of younger tenor trombonists working with a teacher on the fifth part on bass trombone who will add richness and depth to the ensemble sound. It is my hope that this piece will encourage, entertain and challenge student players and provide useful concert material for use in the promotion of this unique and versatile instrument. John Frith - 2017 This work is appropriate for younger performers at an intermediate level all in bass clef. The five movements total about 9 minutes in length and have the following titles: 1. Latin Dance 2. Ballad 3. Give Me a Break! 4. Bass Waltz 5. Cruisin’ Along (swing)
