With an extended introduction and countermelodies (both transcribed from the original soundtrack and of the arranger's own creation), this arrangement captures the warmth and beauty of one of Disney's most beloved tunes. All members of the quartet are featured, working in concert to recreate the tenderness of one of filmdom's most cherished scenes.

This unique and clever and arrangement features all members of the ensemble and will provide a highlight to an Easter service or recital. Various textures are employed including a variation in the style of a Baroque fugue. The countermelodies and florid accompanying passages give this work an engaging originality while at the same time maintaining the integrity of the familiar hymn.

This is the first movement of Part 2, Christ's Passion, of Handel's oratorio, The Messiah.

Flutes 1 - 4 represent the SATB chorus, and the lower parts represent the orchestral parts. That said, Flutes 5 and 6 are more diffcult because they are playing the violin parts, which include more ornamentation than the voice parts.
