Scored for 4 C Flutes, Alto and Bass Flute, Weekend in Paris is a bright jazz waltz intended to convey the excitement and anticipation of a trip to Paris.The music is to bring to mind pleasure in sightseeing, wandering around cafe's, seeing children at play, people dancing and laughing and families gathering in a happy relaxed atmosphere in the glorious sunshine. The piece is in concert F major establishing the bright swingy rhythm, this then flows into the second section which is more lyrical and legato and is in E flat major. A short bridge section follows keeping the motif's heard in the first section but exploring the lower registers and remains largely legato. The first two sections are then heard again before a modulation takes place to give the piece a final lift before the end. The piece concludes quietly with a snippet of the opening motif. I have set it to intermediate level but the whole score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability. The music would be a great addition to any repertoire as a happy piece, programmatic with a world/travelling theme in mind. Full score 16 pages-parts 4 pages. 4 mins 30 in length. Price is for the full score and all parts.NB Another version for 6 C flutes, is also available as is a Clarinet Choir versions.

This charity is for LGBTQ+. ( about the song meaning)Wrabel, the composer, stated the song is about the LGBTQ+ community and all the hardships they face.The song is directed and to encourage and give hope to a trans person who is being treated poorly and ostracized , and to let that perosn struggling know that there is absolutely Nothing wrong with you and there's soemthing wrong with the village.Too many of the trans/LGBTQ+ comminity are struggling , especially in todays political climate. All around the world LGBTQ+ persons are being bullied, discriminated against , attacked, thrown in jail , and even killed with liitle to no laws to protect people.in my own personal life, as a victim of a horrible hate crime where the person involved attmepted to beat me and kill me , unfortuanelty i found out very qucikly how laws even in the USA do not protect me , how many cops ignored me and/or attmepted to make the attack my fault , and how laywers did not want to help and judges either ,and beacsue of the laws i was not protected as a minority and the crime wasn't a hate crime even though the criminals admitted this as the reason of the attack.I was told that this was not a hate crime , unless the criminals made me a victim of S.A., used a car/vehicle , or a gun, or actually ended my life. I also wanted to add , this brutal attack ( recorded on video by the criminals ) which caused such serious bodily harm, had me in the hospital for surgeries, and required months of long and painful rehab and therapy.As a country, as a society, as a planet , we all need to do better, and have to have more protections for such a discriminated group of persons.I did want to add , all the issues happening around the world, and even here in the USA, such as the awful and fascist discrimitory laws in Florida and other states it's no wonder the statistics of LGBTQ+ that contemplate ending their person or even attempting the act .I ask respectfully that every one please go to law makers and demand better laws and treatments of people no matter what community there are of. All people deserve respect, proper medcial care, and to have the same rights as every other human being. We all can and must be the change you wish to see in the world. Published by Yoel Epstein (A0.773303). I wish you the greatest pleasure playing these arrangements of traditional Thanksgiving songs. Thanksgiving is one of the most beautiful of holidays, a holiday filled with joy and music. We Gather Together to Ask the Lord's Blessing: Written in 1597 by Dutch composer Adrianus Valerius to celebrate Holland's victory over Spain, the tune was brought to American shores by the early Dutch settlers. Poet Theodore Baker wrote a new version of the lyrics in 1894, which became the standard Thanksgiving version. Over the River and Through the Wood: Lydia Maria Child, an outspoken abolitionist and advocate for Indian rights, wrote this poem in 1845. It was set to music by an unknown composer. Let All Things Now Living (The Ash Grove) This traditional Welsh melody (Llwyn Onn or The Ash Grove in Welsh) has inspired numerous lyricists to write words to the hauntingly beautiful tune. The poem by Katherine Davis, written in 1939, is the text most associated with Thanksgiving. Amazing Grace: Written by reprobate sailor John Newton in 1779. Known for his profanity, vulgarity and venery, he was imprisoned, beaten, and enslaved, before he reformed, and became a leading minister and hymn-writer. This is one of the most popular hymns ever written. This Land is Your Land: A traditional American tune, made famous by folksinger Woody Guthrie in 1940. Guthrie wrote the words as a rebuff to the song God Bless America, the huge hit by songwriter Irving Berlin. As a counter to Berlin's drum-beating patriotism, Guthrie would occasionally add politically charged verses expressing his support for communism. I hope you enjoy playing this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Adrian Dee #6587987. Published by Adrian Dee (A0.817947). Magpie was premiered at La Scala opera house in Milan, Italy on May 31, 1817 and was an immediate success. The overture has become a staple of the orchestral repertoire, as have many Rosssini overtures. In this arrangement, I have omitted the famous snare drum roll at the beginning, opting instead to stick with just the flute choir instruments. I also simplified the opening rhythmic figure in the interest of ease of consistency across the ensemble. Much of the orchestral piccolo part, often seen in auditions, is preserved in the piccolo part here and I have kept the piece in its original keys. Hayu Leilot (There were nights) was written by Mordecai Zeira in 1938 to a poem by Yaakov Orland. Four of the world's classic love songs arranged for flute choir:Aura Lea -- An American song from the civil war period, that became the basis of Elvis Presley's smash hit Love me tenderPlaisir D'Amour -- Written in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini, this song is as fresh today as the day it was written. Elvis adapted this song as well, in his popular Can't help falling in love with you.Hayu Leilot -- little known outside of Israel, this breathtaking song tells the story of love and loss in the days of the first Jewish settlements in Palestine.Salut D'Amour -- Edward Elgar was a penniless and unknown composer in 1888 when, smitten by his love for the aristocratic Caroline Alice Roberts, he wrote this haunting melody. Over her family's stern objections, she married Elgar, who went on to be Britain's leading composer of the time, knighted for his contribution to British music.I hope you enjoy playing these as much as I enjoyed writing them. If you’ve ever seen a funny video on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc., chances are that you’ve heard this tune before…many many times.  It makes cute and funny videos, well, cuter and funnier.Kevin Macleod wrote this cute and funny tune, and it’s written to loop until the video ends.  The longer the video, the higher it goes (I think, although having a cute video last more than 5 minutes may wear you out.)  While I could have modulated it 5 times, I didn’t.  There is one key change, and after that key change, this cute and funny tune goes Radio City Rockette-ish before definitely coming to an end at around the 2 minute mark.Scored for flute choir – 4 C, alto, bass, and contrabass flutes.  There is an optional cello part that can help bring out the staccato notes in the contrabass, which can also be played by any C instrument in a similar range, such as a bassoon.This would be a great recital opener, closer, or filler.  Or, you could have a few members of your group act out a cute and funny scene to it.  The possibilities are endless!Duration: 2 minutes.
