Have you always wanted to play some of your favourite Chopin pieces but find the virtuoso sections too daunting? This is a medley of themes from a number of Chopin's best known piano works. The extracts that form the bulk of the piece are faithful transcriptions of Chopin's originals, in the original key, and are joined together with short sections of original composition in a similar style. This is an ideal introduction to some of Chopin's most beautiful music for the intermediate level piano student or adult learner, or a relaxing bit of light relief for the more advanced pianist.

It's a beautiful piano version based on the famous recording on the "Home Alone" soundtrack (arranged by film music legend John Williams).

The full melody is included in the piano part, so it makes for a perfect instrumental (piano solo) cover.

Of course, you can also use this piano arrangement to accompany a singer, or sing along yourself - this sheet music includes a system for the singer, as well as the song's full lyrics!

"Carol of the Bells" is a composition by Ukrainian composer Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych (1877-1921), who wrote many choral arrangements of traditional folk music.
This piece, too, is based on an Ukranian folk song: "Shchedryk" (Щедрик) is originally a New Year's song, known in English as "The Little Swallow".

It 1921, the song was performed by the Ukranian National Chorus at the sold-out Carnegie Hall in New York City!

In 1936, American composer Peter J. Wilhousky added English lyrics to the song and rearranged the melody for orchestra. Together with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, he is largely responsible for the song's popularity today.

John Williams famously arranged the song for the soundtrack of the 1990 film "Home Alone".
Other famous cover versions were recorded by Richard Carpenter, The Piano Guys, Pentatonix, and Lindsey Stirling.

Today, "Carol of the Bells" is one of the most popular Christmas carols, and it makes for a wonderful piano piece!
