I found this song in a very old hymnbook, so old that you could feel the raised print on the page, and loved the lyrics so much! However, I felt that a minor melody would suit it in a really special way, so I rewrote it with new choral harmonization using a mixture of minor modes to match the evening mood of the song. This piece works well as a choir anthem for evensong, funerals, or for any more contemplative, low-key service, and is written in a comfortable, singable range for everyday singers. Juan MarÃa Solare: Show Me the Path. piano solo Neoclassical music. Optimistic, warm, melodic, tranquil. Show me the path to where? - Towards self-realisation? - Towards the roots? - Towards a happy future? The reality was much more prosaic: what inspired this title was a mere commercial advertisement that pretended to sell me the path to gaining thousands of followers in a few days. This prompted my sceptical response. It is thus demonstrated that everything, even the banal, can be profitable and an inspiration source. This 3:10 piano prelude was composed on 7 May 2021 in Bremen, Germany. A recording of Show Me the Path, by the composer at the piano, was released through the label frtyfve (which licenced it from Janus Music & Sound, the artist's own label). 'Show me the Path' reached 'number one', i.e. It was placed at the top of Apple Music's playlist Piano Chill in the last days of December 2021. Lo cual motivó mi respuesta escéptica. Quede demostrado asà que de todo, hasta de lo banal, puede obtenerse inspiración. Este preludio para piano, cuya duración es de 3:10, fue compuesto el 7 de mayo de 2021 en Bremen, Alemania. Either the person is fickle, or is living a bad, abusive, careless relationship. But the time comes in which he/she loses hope in the current relationship because forgiveness also tire of forgiving. (Vinicius de Moraes in Regra Três). I decided to describe musically - using the same themes - both the sense of loss of those who were adrift, and the sense of freedom of those who left as a way of showing that the same story can be seen from different points of view. However, the title of this musical piece†Missing your Love†alludes to the fact that some people only realize the importance of someone in their lives after they leave.

This andante espressivo from the first movement of Schumann's piano concerto is one of the most beloved passages of 19th century music. The orchestra parts have been seamlessly integrated into the solo piano part. Although the suggested pedaling may appear needlessly specific, it is a realistic example of pedaling that a professional might use. Phrasing, dynamics and some fingerings are also included. An intermediate pianist would be able to perform this piece easily, as the septuplets and awkward jumps have been modified without diminishing the quality and content of the passage. It is a fitting recital piece, able to stand on it's own as a solo and is in the original key of A-flat.

I especially like Nat King Cole's version, which is in Db major. To make it easier for intermediate piano players I wrote my piano solo arrangement in C major instead. It is still challenging  enough.The sheet music will be available for purchase at 2pm Chicago time on Nov 27.About The ArrangementThe arrangement is written in jazz ballade style. It doesn't swing. I includes a fun double time improvisation section though which I made up on the spot during the second B section when I recorded the song. It is in latin style. The arrangement can be performed with or without improvisation. Should you be a jazz pianist you could use the included chord symbols to make up your own improvisation.About The Sheet MusicThe sheet music is the exact transcription of my recording, including the improvisation part. Next I start thinking about the accompaniment. Now it is time to practice it. Once I have the arrangement figured out I start recording it a few times, listen to each version, iron out the edges. Now it is time to record the entire thing. Recommendations For Learning The SongI recommend that you first listen to my performance while reading along in the sheet music. I always think about fingering and sustain pedal use at the same time when learning a song. Smart use of the sustain pedal can really make it much easier to play.Is This Arrangement For You?This solo piano arrangement is for every pianist who loves The Christmas Song. It doesn't matter would kind of pianist you are. The arrangement is certainly for intermediate pianists and up. It is also beneficial when you don't have very small hands. Some chords in the left hand require a hand span of a 10th. However, there are ways to get around that by simply rolling the notes with the help of the sustain pedal.

Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia) and the hope of an ailing little boy to find out where the story comes from. It lends emphasis to the idea that although the Narnia stories are fiction, there is indeed much to be found therein that IS real. And as a young mathemetician surprises herself to find meaning in something not based in logic, so does the listener realize that even when we think we have found the truth of where the story begins, we are only just beginning and there is more to find.

It reminded me a little of all the Chopin waltzes I played many moons ago, and it made me sad that he died at the young age of 39, so I decided to call it The Birthday Waltz. Chopin's music really shaped the way I hear melody, and I love his body of work. And my mom has always been my biggest fan, coach and champion, so I hope she likes this piece, and I guess Ill go and record an aria for her now!!! ps I think this piece will be a great preparation for students who are eager to learn some Chopin Waltzes. It sounds harder than it is and I think it's fun to play (and even my husband loved hearing it all day). I hope you enjoy it too.
