These are eight original piano compositions written between March 29 and April 26. I tried to write these representing various moods and in homage to Italy and the heartbreaking losses they have suffered during this difficult time as well as now countries all the around the world. These range in difficulty from intermediate to more advanced. The MP3 is of No. 1 while the YouTube example is of No. 3.

The "Italian Preludes" is currently nominated for the One World Music Radio 2020 "Best Neo Classical Award" as of May 2021.

James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN and serves as the Music Department Chairman of Welch College.

This new arrangement is a transcription of The Live Room recording session of the song (check it out on YouTube). It features a different intro and ending from other versions of the song and has an extra verse not included in the original movie soundtrack (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2). The lyrics have been included to help the performer articulate the melody sympathetically. Sustain pedal markings have been added but fingerings have been left to the individual performer to add according to their personal preference. This arrangement is ideal for professional pianists to play at weddings.

Su objetivo va más allá de las aproximaciones basadas en copiar los estereotipos propios de la guitarra flamenca y sus patrones típicos, pues musicalmente no se trata ni de flamenco puro, ni de simples estudios técnicos de mecanismo: se trata más bien hablar a través del lenguaje flamenco y español para dar libertad a las dificultades típicas del piano: octavas, arpegios, notas dobles, escalas, acordes y figuraciones varias, pretendiendo crear un lenguaje propio, natural, adaptado al piano y a sus posibilidades. Se pueden considerar pues, 12 estudios de concierto, cada uno con su propia personalidad, su sonoridad particular y su carácter diferenciado.

The ?12 flamenco studies for piano? are a synthesis between romantic virtuoso pianism and flamenco and Spanish sounds and harmonies. Its objective goes beyond the approaches based on copying the stereotypes typical of flamenco guitar and its typical patterns, since musically it is not about pure flamenco, nor about simple technical studies of mechanism: it is rather about speaking through language. flamenco and Spanish to give freedom to the typical difficulties of the piano: octaves, arpeggios, double notes, scales, chords and various figurations, trying to create their own, natural language, adapted to the piano and its possibilities. Thus, 12 concert studios can be considered, each one with its own personality, its particular sound and its distinctive character.
