Norwegian singer AURORA wrote "Runaway" when she was just 11-12 years old.

It became the first track on AURORA's 2015 EP "Running with the Wolves", as well as on her debut album "All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend" (released in 2016).

The melancholic synth-pop song became a huge success after going viral on TikTok in early 2021.

Syncopation is frequently used in the arrangement but straight 8th notes, rather than swinging 8th notes, should be used throughout.
