Juan MarÃa Solare: Hamacando a las mellizas (Swinging Twins or Swinging the twins) a children blues for piano This work was born -precisely- rocking (swinging) my twins Laura and Alma, as an improvised melody that accompanied their activity (or rather mine). From there to write it down there was only one step. As a second theme, it seemed appropriate to invert the melody, since twinhood implies a certain specular symmetry. Hamacando a las mellizas has the traditional structure of the twelve-bar blues, and a merry, innocent and carefree character. Hamacando a las mellizas was composed in Bremen (Germany) between June 21 and 23, 2020. Shortly afterwards, adaptations for a variety of instrumental combinations were written, such as - alto saxophone, double bass and piano (*) - clarinet, double bass and piano - violin and piano - clarinet quartet (*) find this version in Spotify, Apple Music etc. from 1 January 2021. * JMS *Juan MarÃa Solare: Hamacando a las mellizasblues infantil para pianoEsta obra surgió -precisamente- hamacando (columpiando) a mis mellizas Laura y Alma, como una melodÃa improvisada que acompañaba su actividad (o más bien la mÃa). De allà a anotarla hubo un solo paso. Como segundo tema me pareció adecuado invertir la melodÃa, puesto que el mellizismo implica cierta simetrÃa especular.Hamacando a las mellizas tiene la estructura tradicional del blues de doce compases, y un carácter alegre, inocente y despreocupado.Hamacando a las mellizas fue compuesta en Bremen (Alemania) entre el 21 y el 23 de junio de 2020. Poco después surgieron adaptaciones para variedad de combinaciones instrumentales, tales como- saxofón alto, contrabajo y piano (*)- clarinete, contrabajo y piano- violÃn y piano- cuarteto de clarinetes (*) hallen esta versión en Spotify, Apple Music etc. desde el 1 de enero de 2021.

Pasajera eterna [Eternal passenger] was composed in 2011 in Bremen and Worpswede (Germany). This piano prelude is dedicated to Belén Rouco. Duration: 5 minutes (or slightly less). The title 'Pasajera eterna' is in Spanish an oxymoron, that is, a figure of thought that consists of complementing a word with another word that has a contradictory or opposite meaning. 'Pasajera' (temporary, transient), as an adjective, is a situation that does not last forever, ephemeral, while 'eternal' is just the opposite. Furthermore, if we read 'pasajera' (traveller, passenger) as a noun, the title alludes to a person on a constant journey, on the move. The expression 'Pasajera eterna' was invented by the dedicatee of this work, Belén Rouco, who kindly authorised me to use it to title this music. Under the literary name of 'Pasajera eterna', Belén signs and publishes her writings, poems and reflections. Keywords: romantic piano music, easy listening, post-romantic, neo-classical, contemporary classical, melodic. World Premiere: by Juan MarÃa Solare on Tue 16/OCT/2012, recital Neue Konsonanz (New Consonance) at the Theater of the University of Bremen. Argentine premiere by Juan MarÃa Solare on 25/APR/2014 at the Legislatura Porteña (cycle Música Clásica Argentina), Buenos Aires. British premiere: by Juan MarÃa Solare on 23/MAY/2014 at the BolÃvar Hall in London (recital Tango Bar). There is also a second version for quintet (flute, alto saxophone, cello, double bass and piano), recorded in Birmingham (UK) by the ensemble El ultimo tango and a third version for alto saxophone and piano (2016).
