They were written in the same year as the Impromptus, Op. 142, though only the first two pieces were published during Schubert's lifetime. Together with the latter set, they have become a cornerstone of the piano repertoire. The third Impromptu (Andante) is an wonderful epitome of slow-moving Schubert melody over a flowing arpeggiated accompaniment. This lyrical and meditative work remains unified in mood and texture throughout. Four Hispanic Children’s Songs can be programmed on student concerts, or solo music recitals in schools. Also, professional musician can perform Four Hispanic Children’s Songs on recitals, educative concerts or entertainment concerts programmed for children. Four Hispanic Children’s Songs is a four movements piece based on 18th Century children songs from Spain that became parts of the Hispano American heritage. New for September 2020 this is a very fresh take on this traditional classic and has been launched into a crazy swing/groove style! It\'s a great showstopper and a real joy to play. The piece includes playful interplay and new original material/solo/s.
