An infectiously catchy melody make this jazz-style jaunt incredibly fun to play; for Eb or Bb Saxophone (both parts included) and piano. Sunny Blue meanders through various styles; a straight start (mainly 6/8), launching into a groovy swing (following with optional improvisation, or use one of the two written out 'solos' provided). The journey then gravitates to a waltz, before completing its course by ending with a swing ending, and dramatic finish. Sunny Blue has a duration of 3'22 minutes, and is aimed at grade 6/+ players and makes a fantastic concert item. The YouTube video demo shows the whole piece performed on alto sax. You will however receive a universal piano score, and then two saxophone parts (one for Eb, and one for Bb sax).

In 1841 he was named first flute in the royal orchestra of Naples and was also named flute professor of San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in 1860. Krakamp performed concerts in Europe, America, the Middle East and North Africa. The Fantasy Opus 248 based on themes from Verdi's Opera La Traviata is part of a group of three fantasies called La triade verdiana, first published in 1865. Krakamp died in Naples in 1883.The version for saxophone remains close to the original version for flute, with only a few register changes because of range issues. Some passages in the piano part have been re-enforced harmonically and the ending has been slightly changed, to create a more definitive ending. .

Bach arranged for Alto or Tenor Saxophone solo with piano. This piece is the third movement from the Partita #3 for Solo Violin by Johann Sebastian Bach. It is one of Bach’s most instantly recognizable pieces. Playful and lively, this movement is based off the leaping French gavotte rhythm but presented here en rondeau, or in a Rondo style, with the main theme returning in multiple variations. It has been recorded dozens of times and used in many film and TV scores. A recording of Gavotte en Rondeau was included on the Voyager Golden Record, attached to the Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977, as a sample of the culture of Earth.This arrangement of Gavotte en Rondeau is for Alto or Tenor Saxophone Solo with piano. It is transposed to the key of E flat (the original is in the key of E). As the gavotte repeats several times, an optional alternate ending for a shorter and less technically demanding performance is indicated at the end of the third statement of the rondeau. The performance time of the short version is about 1′:15″ as opposed to 2′:30″ for the full version.

The saxophone part makes considerable use of quarter note triplets and tied notes. The piece has long lyrical phrases, beginning in concert G minor and ending in concert E flat. It is ideal for developing a sustained tone in the upper register. The piece is rewarding to perform and the piano part has been kept fairly straightforward throughout. It would make an excellent piece for a student recital.

This duet between an Instrumental Solo and piano is my arrangement of Rose from Fleurs du Printemps, Op 48 (Rose, from Flowers of Spring).It is expressive, portraying the beauty of the Rose. I have added considerable markings of articulation and dynamics and phrasing to bring out this expressiveness. I have also changed the tempos to create more emotional variety between the thematic sections and I wrote a new ending with an Instrumental cadenza. The solo instrument plays the various melodic themes while I created a new piano part based on the original chords. The melody contains many accidentals as is typical in the Romantic period. Accessible for the average player yet with enough markings and nuances to satisfy expert players with the results. Definitely a concert or audition piece to show musicianship. The piece is 85 measures long and in 6/4 meter is written in ternary form; after the primary theme, the secondary theme starts in measure 19, followed by a modified version of the primary theme in measure 70. The opening section moves into a contrasting middle section in the same key signature, which flows back to the opening material in a transitional passage. The reprise of the first section grows out of this, followed by a Picardy third ending.This arrangement for alto sax with piano accompaniment reflects faithfully the original and is suitable for any purpose and occasion.
