"La cumparsita" (little street procession, a grammatical diminutive of la comparsa) is a tango written in 1916 by the Uruguayan musician Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, with lyrics by Pascual Contursi and Enrique Pedro Maroni . It is among the most famous and recognizable tangos of all time. Roberto Firpo, director and pianist of the orchestra that premiered the song, added parts of his tangos "La gaucha Manuela" and "Curda completa" to Matos' carnival march ("La cumparsita"), resulting in "La cumparsita" as it is currently known. "La cumparsita" was first played in public in the old Café La Giralda in Montevideo, Uruguay. The Tango Museum of Montevideo stands currently on that historic spot.

"El Choclo" (South American Spanish: meaning "The Corn Cob") is a popular song written by Ángel Villoldo, an Argentine musician. Allegedly written in honour of and taking its title from the nickname of the proprietor of a nightclub, who was known as "El Choclo". It is one of the most popular tangos in Argentina.

This arrangement for intermediate and beginner mixed cello ensemble brings Game of Thrones to your cello class, cello ensemble, or teaching studio! The parts are suitable for doubling as needed to accommodate groups of more than 4 cellists.

Some of the parts require all neck positions, and due to the original key, extensions in 1st position are also required for the easier Cello III and IV parts. The parts are distributed so that all have important melodic sections as well.

One of the most beautiful songs ever written! All of the parts are very interesting, with lots of moving lines in the accompaniment. Cello 1 has the solo.

The 1986 smash hit and worldwide Number 1, 'The Final Countdown' by Sweden's Europe. This arrangement for cello quartet (with optional double bass) is perfect for school groups and professional ensembles. The Cello 1 part has tenor clef (approx Grade 6 standard), but has an ossia part underneath an octave lower in bass clef making the whole ensemble playable by grade 5 and under. There are challenges in most parts, and the double bass part sounds great played on electric bass (just ask a drummer to join you for a full rock band effect). Arranged by professional cellist, arranger and teacher Dury Loveridge, this is a tried and tested arrangement.

This arrangement of Wayne Shorter's One by One is a relatively easy jazz piece for intermediate ensembles. It works well with medium-sized cello ensembles with one to three cellists for each of the four parts.
