Georg Kreisler equals scathing, dark black humour on the piano!

The Singphoniker have arranged Georg Kreisler's best known songs for all-male ensemble and recorded them on CD. Schott now publishes the corresponding music edition for men's choir TTBB with piano accompaniment. The topics range from the poisoning of pigeons to the love of a wonderful woman to her long awaited moving out. These pleasant arrangements for men's choir TTBB and piano with Kreisler's humorous texts most certainly create an exuberant atmosphere in the concert.

This edition of 'Tu es Petrus' (You are St. Peter) for male-voice choir and organ adds to the existing collection of beautiful and easy-to-sing choral pieces by Nino Rota. The appeal of the piece headed 'Festoso, con solennita' (festive, with solemnity) lies in its homophonic and dense four-part setting which flows steadily both with regard to rhythm and melody. Rota's Mass for choir and organ is published in two editions: for three-part mixed choir and for four-part male choir, each with organ. The organ part is identical in both editions. As a consequence, it is possible to perform the work with varying choir ensembles. The mass, with Latin text, is suitable both for amateur choirs and in small churches or concert halls.
