Solo Guitar - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1444500 By Keith Terrett. By Isaac Manuel Francisco Albéniz y Pascual. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 19th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,World. Individual part. 3 pages. Keith Terrett #1024393. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1444500). Isaac Manuel Francisco Albéniz y Pascual (Spanish pronunciation: [iˈsak alˈβeniθ]; 29 May 1860 – 18 May 1909) was a Spanish virtuoso pianist, composer, and conductor. He is one of the foremost composers of the Post-Romantic era who also had a significant influence on his contemporaries and younger composers. He is best known for his piano works based on Spanish folk music idioms. Isaac Albéniz was close to the Generation of '98.Transcriptions of many of his pieces, such as Asturias (Leyenda), Granada, Sevilla, Cadiz, Córdoba, Cataluña, Mallorca, and Tango in D, are important pieces for classical guitar, though he never composed for the guitar. Some of Albéniz's personal papers are held in the Library of Catalonia. As one of the leading composers of his era, Albéniz's influences on both contemporary composers and on the future of Spanish music are profound. As a result of his extended stay in France and the friendship he formed with numerous composers there, his composition technique and harmonic language influenced aspiring younger composers such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. His activities as conductor, performer and composer significantly raised the profile of Spanish music abroad and encouraged Spanish music and musicians in his own country.Albéniz's works have become an important part of the repertoire of the classical guitar, many of which have been transcribed by Francisco Tárrega, Miguel Llobet and others. Asturias (Leyenda) in particular is heard most often on the guitar, as are Granada, Sevilla, Cadiz, Cataluña, Córdoba, Mallorca, and Tango in D. Gordon Crosskey and Cuban-born guitarist Manuel Barrueco have both made solo guitar arrangements of all the eight-movements in Suite española. Selections from Iberia have rarely been attempted on solo guitar but have been very effectively performed by guitar ensembles, such as the performance by John Williams and Julian Bream of Iberia's opening Evocation. The Doors incorporated Asturias into their song Spanish Caravan; also, Iron Maiden's To Tame a Land uses the introduction of the piece for the song bridge. More recently, a guitar version of Granada functions as something of a love theme in Woody Allen's 2008 film Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The theme from Asturias was incorporated or adapted in several soundtracks including the 2008 horror film Mirrors, composed by Javier Navarrete, and the Netflix TV show Godless, composed by Carlos Rafael Rivera. In 1997 the Fundación Isaac Albéniz was founded to promote Spanish music and musicians and to act as a research centre for Albéniz and Spanish music in general.A street in Quito, Ecuador, is named after him.

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - SKU: A0.971659 Composed by Jeffrey Hoover. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 11 pages. Musicart Publications #5793861. Published by Musicart Publications (A0.971659). Blue Wizard is inspired by American Jazz, Blues, and Flamenco traditions. For solo classical guitar, it is 6 minutes in length. The work begins as a Blues, with its familiar twelve-measure form and phrasing, but rapidly moves into a musical fantasy based on five-tone and modal scales heard in jazz. The music continues to travel through a variety of moods, colors, and textures. Ideas return and are transformed. The closing section of Blue Wizard possesses a dancing quality, with a final push to the end. As with other compositions by Jeffrey Hoover, there is an interpretive painting Blue Wizard, painted by the composer.Jeffrey Hoover's compositions- music ranging from soloist to symphony orchestra -have received recognition through the Universal Edition/SMP Press Contemporary Composition Award, the prestigious Trieste prize, the international Luigi Russolo competition, awards from Mu Phi Epsilon, the Lancaster Fine Arts Festival, grants, publications fellowships, and more than 25 commissions. He is a member of the ACME roster of Mu Phi Epsilon, recognized for distinguished achievement as a composer. One unique aspect of Hoover’s work is when he combines composition with his paintings, creating synergetic art that intrigues and captivate audiences and performers alike. His paintings are seen in exhibitions and in concerts where his paintings are projected while musicians perform his music. Hoover’s background as a performer includes both classical and jazz music, as saxophonist and conductor. His book The Arts and Society: Making New Worlds is published by Kendall Hunt Publishing.Hoover was born on September 11, 1959, in Anderson, Indiana. He holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Composition and Interdisciplinary Fine Arts) from Texas Tech University, as well as an M.M. and Bch.Sc. from Ball State University. His career in higher education has included both faculty and arts administration appointments. Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899141). for solo classical guitar 2ppAlexander Scriabin 1872-1915 Some relevant facts about Scriabin are: He was Russian – he was born and died in Moscow. He was a child prodigy of the piano, and a great admirer of Chopin. His piano and orchestral compositions are finely crafted, the latter uniting aesthetics with religion. Both are naturally laced with the Russian temperament, and show an embrace of the harmonic revolution of his time. The prelude (Op.11 No.4) is an early piece exhibiting Scriabin's melodic and harmonic flair. The form is binary, with a surprising, very expressive and poignant coda.

Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899138). for solo classical guitar (tremolo) 3 pp (4 min.)Alexander Scriabin 1872-1915 Some relevant facts about Scriabin are: He was Russian – he was born and died in Moscow. Both are naturally laced with the Russian temperament, and show an embrace of the harmonic revolution of his time. The prelude (Op.9 No.1) is an early piece exhibiting Scriabin's melodic flair. It's form is a kind of condensed sonata – ABA with a coda. The 'B' section of roving, moderately distant, harmonies, and the 'coda' with its binding bass line are equal to the theme, as they should be. I am very fond of the tremolo style, and here it highlights the marvelous counterpoint of the piece.

Guitar - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1143138 By Simon James. By Joan Cererols. Arranged by Simon James. Baroque,Chamber,Christmas,Classical,Contemporary. 18 pages. DML #743497. Published by DML (A0.1143138). Joan Cererols (1618 – 1680) was a Spanish composer and Benedictine monk. Cererols was born in Martorell. He entered the choir school Escolania de Montserrat around 1626. Cererols took his first steps in music under the direction of Father Joan Marc, a famous organist. He is known today chiefly for a single villancico, the beautiful marizápalos a lo divino - SerafÃn que con dulce armonÃa . The marizápalos was a song with a special harmonic pattern that often served as a framework for improvisation. This arrangement is for guitar quartet and solo guitar (Guitar 5). The quartet parts are easy, the solo guitar part is more challenging. The piece is fascinating, at times a dialogue between the solo guitar and the quartet but at other times the quartet splits into two giving a dialogue between three groups.

Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899143). for solo classical guitar 2ppAlexander Scriabin 1872-1915 Some relevant facts about Scriabin are: He was Russian – he was born and died in Moscow. He was a child prodigy of the piano, and a great admirer of Chopin. His piano and orchestral compositions are finely crafted, the latter uniting aesthetics with religion. Both are naturally laced with the Russian temperament, and show an embrace of the harmonic revolution of his time. The Opus 11 preludes are early pieces exhibiting Scriabin's melodic and harmonic flair. The form of No 4 is binary, with a surprising, very expressive and poignant coda. No 5 could be described as a theme (with a prominent ninth) followed by two variations. The first variation ends with a bridging section that briefly changes tempo. maggie creek music

Published by Eric J Roth (A0.914746). Auguste Franchomme was one of the most well-known and respected cellists in 19th century France. He was born in 1808 in Lille and went on to have a long, celebrated career in Paris as a performer, teacher and composer. Of the three pieces arranged here for guitar, one is drawn from the Twelve Caprices, Op. 7 and two are from the Twelve Etudes, Op. 35. The Caprice, No. 9, Larghetto con dolore, retains its original key of B minor. Etudes, No. 5, Allegretto, and No. 6, Andante con moto, have been transposed to new keys. All transfer well to the guitar, offering novel textures while still seeming idiomatic to the instrument. .

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1261509 Composed by Antonio Jiménez Manjón. Arranged by Rui Namora. 19th Century,Classical,Romantic Period. Individual part. 11 pages. Rui Namora #854571. Published by Rui Namora (A0.1261509). This beautiful étude, originally written for the 11-string guitar (7+4) that Antonio Manjón used, is practically unknown today. Although it was composed as an étude for this instrument, this arrangement for the 6-string guitar doesn't fail to capture its beauty. The 7-string version is faithful to the original, regarding the bass notes. This set includes a new engraving of the original in double staff and both 6 and 7 string guitar standard notation. Antonio Jimenéz Manjón (1866-1919)Antonio Jiménez Manjón was a Spanish guitarist born in 1866 in the Andalusian city of Villacarillo. Blind from an early age, he began his musical career at the age of twelve, performing in Spain and Portugal, where he played for the Portuguese King Fernando II.Soon after, the young Antonio traveled to Paris alone, where he studied violin at the Conservatory while pursuing his guitar career. He was surrounded by musicians such as Gounod, Saint-Saëns, and Sarasate. In 1887, Manjón returned to his home country and was invited by the Spanish monarchs to perform in the Royal Palace. During those years, he toured Europe with his Torres eleven-string guitar. In 1893, he crossed the Atlantic to the Americas, settling in Buenos Aires in 1902 after performing and teaching in several Latin American countries. In Argentina, he founded a conservatory and published his work Escuela de Guitarra.Antonio Jiménez Manjón passed away in 1919 in Buenos Aires.ISMN 979-0-9007524-5-1 Â

Guitar - Intermediate - SKU: ZY.DO-1522 Composed by Francis Bebey. Arranged by Ingrid Riollot. Score. 5 pages. Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) #DO 1522. Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) (ZY.DO-1522). Son originalité continue de résonner dans le monde entier depuis son décès à la fin du mois de mai 2001.Francis Bebey was born in Douala in July 1929, into a large family where his father, a pastor, struggled to feed his children. But Francis had the opportunity to go to school. Admiring his elder brother, Marcel Eyidi Bebey, he educated himself, distinguished himself, and eventually received a scholarship to go and take his baccalaureate in France. We approached the end of the 1950s when he arrived in La Rochelle. More than ever, in this France where Africans were looked at with curiosity, condescension, or disdain, Francis relied on his intellectual resources. A diligent worker, he obtained his Baccalaureate, then moved to Paris where he started English studies at the Sorbonne. One day, he knew what truly attracted him: he wanted to do radio. Francis learned his craft in France and in the USA.After working for a few years as a reporter, he was hired in 1961 as an international civil servant in the UNESCO Information Department. In parallel, Francis had always been drawn to musical creation. His very serious daytime activity didnâ??t prevent him from frequenting jazz clubs in the evenings. In Paris, the Jazz, the trendy music of that time, but also rumba and salsa attracted him. He collected records and attended numerous concerts. With his accomplice Manu Dibango, Francis took the stage and played music.Francis liked classical music since his childhood. He grew up listening to the cantatas and oratorios of Bach or Handel that his father had sung in the temple. He became passionate about the guitar, impressed by the Spanish and South American masters, and decided to learn to strum the instrument himself. He started composing guitar pieces, blending the various influences that flow through him with the traditional African music he had carried within since childhood. His approach captivated the director of the American Cultural Center (then located in the Saint-Germain neighborhood of Paris), who offered him the opportunity to perform in front of an audience. Francis gave his first guitar recital there (1963) in front of a mesmerized audience. His first solo album was released shortly thereafter.Gradually, Francis became recognized as a musician and composer. Several albums of the African guitar ambassador, as described by the press, were released. He also wrote books, to the point that his artistic career became challenging to reconcile with his career as a civil servant. In 1974, even though he had become the General Manager in charge of music at UNESCO, he took the bold leap and resigned from this prestigious institution to dedicated himself to the three activities that interested him: music, literature, and journalism. He explored the traditional musical heritage of the African continent, notably through the thumb piano sanza, and the polyphonic music of the Central African pygmies, or singing in his native language and composing humoristic songs in French!Success followed. Francis Bebey traveled the world: from France to Brazil, Cameroon to Sweden, Germany to the Carribean, or Morocco to Japan... the list of countries where he was invited to perform, gives lectures, or meets readers is very long. In addition to public recognition, he enjoyed the recognition of his fellow musicians, such as guitarist John Williams or Venezuelan Antonio Lauro, who invited him to be a part of the jury for a classical guitar competition in Caracas. His life was the journey of an African pioneer, a man rooted in his cultural heritage and carrying a message of sharing and hope for the world. His originality continues to vibrate around the world since his passing at the end of May 2001.

Solo Guitar - SKU: A0.899137 Composed by Giulio Regondi. Arranged by Rod Whittle. Romantic Period. Individual part. 4 pages. Maggie Creek Music #4349081. Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899137). for solo classical guitar (tremolo) 4 pp (7 min.)GIULIO REGONDI (1823 - 72) Regondi was born in Switzerland, but lived in France and, mostly, the United Kingdom. He was a child prodigy of the guitar, with Fenando Sor dedicating a piece to him when he was just nine. He composed for the guitar and also the concertina. His works for solo guitar comprise etudes, a set of variations and some larger compositions. The tremolo section of the Nocturne (op.19) - subtitled 'Reverie' – must be some of the most wonderful music written for tremolo guitar. In the Nocturne it is split between sections of different style and content, but its effectiveness as a piece is fully satisfied without these interspersed parts, nice as they are, and its persuasive theme quite naturally repeats to end with a superb coda (which also finishes the actual Nocturne). The original score has no dynamics except for the end, and I have not added any. However, the piece is impossible to play without inferring some loudness, tempo and accentuation changes. There is that Romantic period element to it. I have added fingering. I like to settle into a barre position where possible – it often lets the bass accompaniment ring through (e.g. the D in the first few bars) and simplifies the playing. But it hardly needs saying that fingering, helpful if it is good, is a kind of curse if it is bad or just wrong, and it is never mandatory. It is always instructive with tremolo pieces to first play some of the top line (e.g. of the first few bars) without tremolo to properly reveal its melody. The style needs plenty of practice to achieve fidelity to this musical meaning; that is always the aim. Then listen carefully as the lower part is added. The bass is very important, as mentioned, but the harmonies of the broken chords are vital too. The Nocturne is brilliant counterpoint.

Luigi Rinaldo Legnani (7 November 1790 – 5 August 1877) was an Italian guitarist, singer, composer and luthier.[1]Born in Ravenna, Legnani was trained as a string player while very young but dedicated himself to guitar and voice. His debut as an operatic tenor was in Ravenna in 1807; his singing career spanned 17 years.[2] His career as a guitarist began with a concert in Milan in 1819; with his concerts in 1822 concerts in Vienna and return visits in 1833 and 1839 he tried to continue the guitar tradition established there by Mauro Giuliani.[3]Legnani is perhaps best known for his 36 Caprices op. 20 for the guitar, which cover all the major and minor keys, and which were probably inspired by Paganini's 24 Caprices for the violin. He and Paganini were friends from the 1830s; while it was once thought that he and Paganini performed together in public (Powroźniak mentions a concert in Northern Italy in 1837),[4] there is no evidence to support this claim. After the 1850s Legnani retired from active performance and became an instrument maker, concentrating on guitars and violins. The Legnani model guitar was popular in Central Europe through the middle of the nineteenth century.Legnani composed some 250 works, which were published in his lifetime throughout many of the major publishing houses in Europe. He died in Ravenna.

British born Godfrey Barnsley was determined to construct his home on an acorn shaped hill in northwest Georgia despite being warned by his Cherokee neighbors that the land he chose to build on was sacred and that he would be cursed. He built the Italianate style house anyway and sadly many tragedies followed. One was the death of his close friend Col. Richard G. Earle who was killed by a Union sniper in May of 1864 as he rode in to warn the family of the approach of Sherman’s army. Col. Earle was laid to rest in the garden just steps from the back door. Years later the home was abandoned after the roof was torn off by a tornado… it quickly fell into ruins. Today, the lush English style garden and surroundings (but not the house) have been restored to their previous splendor and the site is frequently used for elegant weddings and social events. This musical impression of Godfrey Barnsley’s enchanted garden was released as a single on streaming platforms in July of 2024. The PDF includes detailed fingerings and interpretation in standard notation with tablature. There’s also a version with TAB available on this site. The accompanying English horn and cello parts are available by request at no charge by contacting the composer directly through his website: www.keithgehle.com

Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899139). for solo classical guitar 4 pp (7 min.)BELA BARTOK Welcome to the enchanting world of Bartok’s folk music. These pieces have been transcribed from arrangements for flute and guitar. Bela Bartok, considered one of the 20th century’s most important composers, was born in Hungary in 1881. A prodigy, he was a professor at the Budapest Music Academy by the age of 26. His interest in traditional music led him to make many journeys (with his colleague Zolta Kodaly) through Hungary, Romania and Slovakia collecting songs and dances, the styles of which were synthesised into compositions of his own. He emigrated to the USA in 1940 where he died five years later of leukaemia. The pieces are deceptively simple, and it would be a mistake to take their natural forms, clear melodies, tonal harmonies and strong rhythms as an invitation to play inattentively. Quite the contrary. They stand any amount of playing, but only when the composing is heeded, the dynamics observed, and modulations anticipated.

In 1826, Aguado visited Paris, where he met and became friends with and for a while lived with Fernando Sor.[1] Sor's duo Les Deux Amis (The Two Friends) commemorated the friendship: one part is marked Sor and the other Aguado.Aguado's major work Escuela de Guitarra was a guitar tutor published in 1825.[1] As of 2011, it is still in print, with Tecla Editions releasing a reprint in 2005.[2] In the Escuela Aguado describes his use of fingernails on the right hand as well as his invention of a tripodison: a device that held the guitar and thus minimized the damping effect of the player's body on the guitar's back and sides.[3] Aguado's other works include Trois Rondos Brillants (Opus 2), Le Menuet Affandangado (Opus 15), Le Fandango Varie (Opus 16), as well as numerous waltzes, minuets, and other light pieces. The more extended works require a virtuoso technique and left-hand stretches that are almost impossible on the longer string lengths of modern guitars. (See Frederick Noad, The Classical Guitar). Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899132). For solo classical guitar; 2 pp; intermediate difficulty.Maurice Ravel (1875 -1937) Ravel was born in the Basque region of France and much of his work shows a Spanish influence (this, together with his interest in jazz has produced some exceptional guitar transcriptions). He was a pupil of Faure and at first fell, like many contemporary composers, under Debussy's spell. However, his ascetic and intellectual bents produced from the start a refinement of composition and orchestration, and development of melody, all his own. Later music, including the Concerto, shows his love of the rhythmic features of jazz, and thoughtful incorporation of the innovations of modern music – strong dissonance, atonality etc. Ravel wrote both music and lyrics for a number of songs including Trois Beaux Oiseaux du Paradis (Three Lovely Birds from Paradise - see below), composed in 1916 while he was posted in the French army during WW1, this at significant physical and mental cost (ref. Wikipedia). Thus the tragic lyrics arise from experience, and the music (Ravel was 40) is typically expressive and uncomplicated with the usual harmonic surprises.Three Lovely Birds from Paradise (English translation)Three lovely birds from Paradise(My beloved has to the fighting gone)Three lovely birds from ParadiseHave flown along this way.The first was bluer than Heaven's blue,(My beloved has to the fighting gone)The second white as the fallen snow,The third was wrapped in bright red glow.'Ye lovely birds from Paradise(My beloved has to the fighting gone)Ye lovely birds from ParadiseWhat bring ye then this way?''I bring to thee a glance of azure(Thy beloved has to the fighting gone)And I on fairest snow white browA fond kiss must leave, yet purer still.''Thou bright red bird from Paradise(My beloved has to the fighting gone)Thou bright red bird from Paradise,What brings thou to me?''A faithful heart all crimson red,(Thy beloved has to the fighting gone)''Ah! Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899150). For solo classical guitar - 5 pagesFrédéric Chopin (1810–1849) Chopin was born in Poland but spent his twenty or so creative years based in Paris. With his supreme mastery of the keyboard and inimitable compositions for the instrument he became a luminary of the Romantic era. Afflicted early on by consumption, he worked with a tireless intensity to produce piano compositions both intricate and perfect, of every style and mood. Pears Cyclopaedia makes this discerning tribute: ‘A Chopin melody, limpid, transparent, singing, can be recognised easily by anyone, but his style gradually developed into something more subtle, more satisfying than pure melody.’ The Andante spianato (spianato means 'smooth') was composed in 1834 as an introduction to the Grande polonaise brilliante. The quiet introductory section of the Andante, in 6/8, is rounded by a chordal trio and a more processional 3/4. A serene middle section adds contrast, floating through upper octaves in quintessential Chopin style.

Published by Eric J Roth (A0.914739). 6 pages (2 pages of music) formatted for 8.5x11 printing.Sol Paul Levy, born in Chicago, Illinois in 1881, was a composer, arranger and performer of silent film music. He attended All Hallows College in Dublin, Ireland and served as first clarinetist in bands led by John Philip Sousa and Arthur Pryor. Levy led the foreign orchestrating department for Victor Records – which was the first music company to produce the disc record – and was a founder of Belwin Music. Levy compiled a series of photoplay cues for piano that was published in H.S. Gordon’s 1914 Motion Picture Collection. He also wrote songs, the most famous of which was That Naughty Waltz. Sol Paul Levy died in New York in 1920. During the Silent Film Era (1896-1936), showings usually featured live music, which helped to provide dramatic and emotional cues for the audience. The first public silent film shown in 1895 was accompanied by a guitarist. Soon after, films were commonly accompanied by either a pianist, organist, or chamber orchestra. Accompanists often improvised or compiled music from the classical, theatrical or popular repertories using a cue sheet identifying the effects or moods to be conveyed. While some films produced full scores or detailed cue sheets containing excerpts of music unique to that film, a repertoire of generic music soon developed to provide accompanists with music that they could adapt as needed. With titles such as Dramatic Conflict, Dramatic Tension, Heavy Mysterioso, and Weird Oriental Theme, Sol Paul Levy’s scores clearly served this purpose. The Vampire: A Dramatic Theme, composed in 1917, could have been easily adapted to any of the more than twenty films about vampires that appeared between 1909 and 1930. The score exists in three versions: one for small orchestra with piano conductor, one for chamber orchestra without piano, and one for chamber orchestra without timpani. Instruments included piano, flute, clarinet, two cornets, trombone, two timpani, two violins, viola, cello, and bass. Despite being composed for small orchestra, the piece, composed in A minor, is well suited to the guitar once instrumental and octave doublings are removed. While a solo guitar cannot produce the power and volume of a chamber orchestra, it certainly can evoke the intended mood. Except in a few instances owing to the limitations of the guitar, all original dynamic markings have been retained. All fingerings, of course, are editorial. Please note that some of the fingerings in the score may differ than those used in the linked YouTube Video.

Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899153). Menuet antique for solo classical guitar 4 ppMaurice Ravel (1875 -1937) Ravel was born in the Basque region of France and much of his work shows a Spanish influence (this, together with his interest in jazz has produced some exceptional guitar transcriptions). He was a pupil of Faure and at first fell, like many contemporary composers, under Debussy's spell. However, his ascetic and intellectual bents produced from the start a refinement of composition and orchestration, and development of melody, all his own. Later music shows a fondness for the rhythmic features of jazz, and thoughtful incorporation of the innovations of modern music – strong dissonance, atonality etc. The charming Menuet antique was written for piano in 1895 and orchestrated by Ravel in 1929. This guitar arrangement is of moderate difficulty but I think well worth learning. The music is very expressive, and I have varied tempo and dynamics to enhance that, starting in slow triple time. To my ear the the second part concludes the piece well, so the arrangement does not return to the first ('minuet') part.

Solo Guitar - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1444330 Composed by Henry Worrall. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 19th Century,Classical,Contest,Festival,Historic,Instructional. Individual part. 6 pages. Keith Terrett #1024245. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1444330). The story of “Spanish Fandango” begins in 1825, when Henry Worrall was born in Liverpool, England. Worrall immigrated to New York as a child, and his biography is a classic American tale of energy and self-invention. After his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, around 1835, young Worrall left his occupation as a newsboy to work for a decorative glass cutter. At the same time, Worrall set about teaching himself to play guitar—and, eventually, painting, engraving, and design. In the 1850s, he published a popular tutorial, Worrall’s Guitar School, and his original compositions, with evocative titles like “Mexican Airs,” “Saint Louis Rondo,” and “Sebastopol—A Descriptive Fantaisie for the Guitar,” became part of America’s popular music canon.
