Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1466034). Emma Louise Ashford (27 March 1850 – 22 September 1930) was an American organist, composer, and music editor, writing over 600 compositions. From 1894 to 1930 she was an editor at Lorenz Publishing Company, and at its periodicals The Choir Leader and The Organist. Born in Newark, Delaware, the only child of English parents she received her first musical training at an early age from her father, James Hindle, who was a singing teacher. The family moved around somewhat, but her compositions soon became noticed whilst living in Nashville, where she was a sought-after organist for multiple churches alongside her husband, John Ashford, as choirmaster. 'At Sunset' comes from a collection of voluntaries for organ (or harmonium), circa 1920, now freshly arranged for concert band as part of an ongoing project to bring more music by women into the worldwide repertoire.

It was written in 1850 by James Lord Pierpont at Simpson Tavern in Medford, Massachusetts. It was published under the title The One Horse Open Sleigh in September 1857. It has been claimed that it was originally written to be sung by a Sunday school choir for Thanksgiving, or as a drinking song. Although it has no original connection to Christmas, it became associated with winter and Christmas music in the 1860s and 1870s, and it was featured in a variety of parlor song and college anthologies in the 1880s. 'Watermark' is the title track from the second studio album by Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released on 19 September 1988, recorded in ten months with her long-time collaborators, manager, producer and arranger Nicky Ryan and his wife, lyricist Roma Ryan. Four singles were released from the album, including the massive worldwide hit, 'Orinoco Flow', which put Enya and her signature-style music on the map from then on. The title 'Watermark' is derived from a poem Roma was writing at the time of recording, which inspired her to name the track accordingly; however, the track was kept as an instrumental and the poem was left unused. As a 6-part motet, every part is doubled by another part of the band.Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (30 September 1852 – 29 March 1924) was an Irish composer, music teacher, and conductor. He composed a substantial number of concert works, including seven symphonies, but his best-remembered pieces are his choral works for church performance, chiefly composed in the Anglican tradition. Beati quorum via (Blessed are those whose way), Op. 38, No. 3, is a motet for mixed unaccompanied six-part choir by Charles Villiers Stanford, a setting of the first verse of Psalm 119 in Latin. It is the last of Stanford's Three Latin Motets, published in 1905.Stanford composed it at the end of the 19th century when he was a teacher at the Royal College of Music in London. Paul J. Rodmell wrote in his review of R. J. Stowe's book Stanford education: his finest unaccompanied motets, such as Beati quorum via, attain neo-Brucknerian sublimity, comparing Stanford's work to that of Hubert Parry and Anton Bruckner.
