Lipa and Caroline Ailin wrote it with its producers Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson, and the Picard Brothers also contributed production. Atlantic and Warner Records released it as the soundtrack's lead single on 25 May 2023. A pop and disco song that features cello, violin, viola, guitar and bass in its instrumentation, Dance the Night is about dancing throughout the night despite enduring sadness. Its release was accompanied by a music video, which features a cameo appearance of Barbie writer and director Greta Gerwig. Dua Lipa performed Dance the Night at the 66th Grammy Awards.Dance the Night reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Dua Lipa's fourth number-one single in the country. In the United States, the song peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the singer's fifth top-ten single in the country. Elsewhere, Dance the Night reached number-one in Ireland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Luxembourg, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, while it peaked within the top-ten in Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Switzerland. The song also peaked at number three on the Billboard Global 200. We finish up with a triumphant march section recognising the regeon's long military traditions.A lively piece with something for everyone in the band, excellent either as an opener or as and finale.

It firstly emerged as a B-side, but later re-released as an A, going on to spend twelve weeks on the UK Singles Chart, including two at No. 1, however failing to make commercial success in the US. The song was written by Sandy Linzer and L. Russell Brown and produced by Linzer, featuring retro (and distinctive) use of disco and siren whistles. A hi-energy cover by the duo Pat and Mick, produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, reached No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart ten years later in 1990, helping to raise funds for the charity 'Help a London Child'. Since then it was featured in her biography “Funny Girl†when it was sung (and danced on roller-skates!) by Barbra Streisand. This is a FLEXIBLE ORCHESTRATION which implies that it is intended for community bands, bands in small schools, club bands etc. and can be played, not only by full bands or orchestras but by incomplete bands and bands that are made up of almost any mixture of instrument that you can imagine. To achieve this, the music is made up of five “Parts†or voices which are defined by pitch and key e.g. Part II Bb – Trumpet, Clarinet, Tenor saxophone etc. To those five are added additional parts for percussion, tuned percussion, piano and voice. I should mention here that, besides regular band or orchestral instruments, it is possible to include less used instruments such as harmonica, piano-accordion, ukulele, electric guitar – the list is endless! It's around the turn of the 20th century and the young lassies from the many farms and villages from the glens surrounding Peebles, leave their homes to come and enjoy the festival - 'To gather on the village green and hail the festal day' 'Lassies blooming fresh and fair cam liltin’ doon the glen' - they pause for breath now and again and as they join their friends along the way, the dance intensifies into a mazurka style. At the fanfares herald the many compliments they get from 'Huntsman gallant and sheperds grey, doughtyand blythsome men' they encounter along the way. It culminates with all the lassies getherin' at the Mercat Cross.

Written by Robbie van Leeuwen, the song topped the charts in nine countries. It has since been covered dozens of times by many artists. In 1986, English girl group Bananarama covered Venus for their third studio album, True Confessions, with the single reaching number one in six countries and has been featured in numerous films, television shows, and commercials. Venus had been a part of Bananarama's repertoire for several years before they actually recorded it. The group's three members, Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward had the idea of turning the song into a dance tune, but they were met with resistance from their producers at the time, Steven Jolley and Tony Swain. The group brought the idea to the production trio of Stock Aitken Waterman, and it became Bananarama's first collaboration with them. The track was initially produced in an arrangement more faithful to the Shocking Blue original, but was reworked in hi-NRG style after Fahey suggested that their version should sound similar to Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round (Like a Record). Turn back the clock with this great song, perfect for outdoor performances - there are solo spots for alto sax and trumpet, as desired and the key has been shifted up from the original E minor to make it more band-friendly.

On January 5, 2012, Firework was elected the fifth most played single on US radio during 2011 by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems, with 509,000 plays.
