The track also appears on Magic system's album Africainement vôtre, released on 19 May 2014. The song was released in March 2014 to coincide with preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup scheduled for 12 June to 13 July of the same year. Despite the English title of the song, its lyrics are almost entirely in French. The single became a commercial hit in France and Belgium, earning significant airplay in stadiums during football matches. Published by Thiago Osorio Music (A0.946720). ''Cristal'' is the name of a ''canindé macaw'' (this one on the cover) that lives loose in the city of Cavalcante, in Chapada dos Veadeiros. With other birds, it lives at Helia's bar where they are treated with great affection. The feeling of preservation combined with freedom was the inspiration for the composition of this piece that uses two genres as a base, the ijexá and the maxixe. The rhythmic characteristics of each of these genres were distributed among the instruments and guided by a cheerful melody. An opportunity to expand the repertoire and immerse in the rhythm and fusion of these two genres, ijexá and maxixe. An authorial piece that brings the genuinely Brazilian joy and can be used in contrast to dense pieces, make your band to fly high and free like Cristal Canindé.

Twenty years ago, an evil terrorist act was committed. The twin Towers in New York were destroyed by planes. The Pentagon was attacked. A fourth plane crashed in Pennsylvania. Feelings of shock, grief, horror, confusion, and anger followed in the wake of this senseless destruction. Fire fighters, police, and members of our Armed Services stepped up with great resolve to act as heroes in response to the attacks. Section A begins with the hum of airplanes followed by the for attacks. Section B expresses the various emotions people felt that day. After this section vents a feeling of national rage, it changes to a feeling of militaristic resolve as our troops go off to fight those responsible for the attacks. Section C borrows an American tune from the Civil War and WW1. Every heart is in the fight for the cause of truth and right, And the freedom of our own beloved land. Many people may know it as Jesus loves the little children. The parts not marked in red are meant to be sung in unison. In measure 45, the flutes and oboes play a decant over the melody. Three measures from the end, the band lands on a deceptive cadence followed by the rest of the measures going to the tonic.

Medioevo is a Composition based on impressions from the dark ages. The composer wrote the piece to take you on a journey through this remarkable period of time.Part 1: The Promised Beginning Land Of Departurethe part opens with a decisive rhythm in the lower brass, woodwind and percussion section. The theme played by the woodwinds is written to give the listeners a middle eastern feeling. This represents the crusades. The higher brass section play a nice and static counter theme.Part 2: Enchanted DominionThis section a bit mysterious and magic, played by mallets and flutes. The theme from the Oboe represents the ghost of a warlock trapped on the dominion. As we pas trough the dominion we need the protection of the church represented by the Harpsichord (clavecimbel) and clarinets.Part 3: The rustling ForestsAfter leaving the Enchanted Dominion we gallop with our horse trough the Rustling Forests. These forest show fast winds and have a lyric theme played by the trumpets and saxesPart 4: The SquareOnce trough the Forests we get to the Village square where the market is on going. We have several sales men selling their goods. These are represented in the themes of the woodwinds. The confusion gets to much and we try to hide from the sales men. The trumpets represent this part in a piano 5/4 movement which bring a big contrast trough the noises from the market place. In the end we need to get through the market place so we find a way to keep the sales men away by playing a wonderful legato melody which the dwarf’s taught us.Part 5: Dwarf’sThese social and kind people have a little village outside of the town where joyful melodies sound from both children as adults and elderly dwarf’s. the themes are divided under the different solo players of the woodwind sections.Part 6: Run or HideAfter a nice time with the Dwarf’s we continue our path but soon we face a large army coming our way. What do we do Run or Hide? This part is full of different melodies and counter melodies to represent the indecisiveness of the Dark Ages.Part 7: NeverlandWe arrive in the land of the elves where the tenor sax and horns play an agitato atmosphere to represent our hart beat when we see these beautiful creatures. The themes from the flutes and euphoniums show the grace and beauty of the elves. While the harp creates an elf like atmosphere.Part 8 The castle Gardenswe arrive in the castle gardens. These gardens are the most beautiful in the whole land. It makes the orchestra say Ahh. While the percussion section gives it a magical feeling. After being amassed we soon find out that these gardens are made for the Authorities and paid by our tax money which gives us a double feeling. Should this money not be better spend on good music?Part 9 Black Powderafter we find out the castle lord wrongly used or tax money we go and find some black powder to blow him up. After being hunted down by the castle lord trying to get some black powder. We find ourselves in the glorious fight.Part 10: Rageour glorious fight with the castle lord continues into an enormous climax where we are stroke down and ends up with a one way ticket to the graveyard.Part 11: The GraveyardThe whole orchestra sings a spiritual song to guide us into the afterlives. An angle comes to collect our soul (represented by the piccolo flute). And slowly or name is forgotten.

A clarinet soloist featured in the “polka†variation of the main theme is playing the original accordion solo. In this section the Key changes to G Major, but to prevent confusion from younger band members, the local time signatures of all instruments aside from the soloist remain the same. Two trumpet soloists are featured in one of the mariachi variations of the ride playing the original harmonized triplet-filled variation of the theme. Articulations in the woodwinds must be exaggerated to maintain the interest of the audience.

The Webster's Dictionary defines a manifesto as, “a written statement declaring publicly the intentions, motives, or views of its issuer. With that being acknowledged, Manifesto was intended to be my way of making a statement as to how I would like to express myself through the wind band medium–with great extremes of emotions. The first section of this piece opens with a contra-alto clarinet solo which makes its opening statement that is rephrased all throughout the piece with each new development. The percussion in this piece also takes inspiration from complex rhythmic layers and polyrhythms. It is acknowledged that this piece will be especially difficult for the percussion section attempting to play these polyrhythms in context; however, twice in the opening section, all the percussion hit together finishing a phrase on beat one making the confusion clear (essentially enforcing the fact that all the “noise was intentional).

Or who braught peace to the tension between Natives and English? Squanto is credited for doing both of these things. One of the first recoreded Native Americans, Squanto lived from 1585 to 1622. He was part of the Patuxet tribe, and taught settlers how to satisfy basic needs. And as far as the eye can see, there is no band music dedicated for him. So I have made a piece showing what may have happened when the settlers came. While not completly accurate, It is a great representation (and honor to Squanto) for your next concert!. The piece begins on a nice warm day, in a playful, dancelike movement, this quickly turns to anger as they see a bird that is not able to be hunted. This confusion leads to the mysteriousness that was most likely happening upon the natives. They start to pray to their gods. All of a sudden, the ship lands and a war breaks out! But Squanto wants to embrace this new culture they have brought, which slowly calms the fighting down. Eventually, the English Culture (represented by Hot Cross Buns) is embraced in the polytonal ways (disagreement). The final part is a chorale representing peace.Errata:Â 107: Singing is stopped.
