Published by Motch Music (A0.1091230). Arrangement for concert band.This is the third song of Suite â€Bergamasque composed by Claude Debussy around 1890. Written in the style of nocturne, it is one of the most famous songs in Debussy's work. And also it is often featured as a repertoire among classical pianos as a whole.In this arrangement, while respecting the original song, bold “reharmonization†(change of chord) is applied. And further, an opening section as fade-in effect and an ending section extending the aftertaste time are added. All of them are used for creating new attractive of this song. And, I am also inspired by the title “A sentimental promenade which had been named at the time of publication in 1900-1901. There are many weak sounds throughout this song, but each phrase requires a rich expression centered on romanticism. At the same time, it is also important for the phrase to be passed down smoothly, and especially in the middle part, a flowing propulsion is required. I hope that those elements will be organically linked to the harmony taste, which is the key to this arrangement. Commissioned by conductor Keiko Kobayashi, and the Sony Concert Band. Published by Patrick Jillett (A0.1435934). March is a lively piece composed early on, by a contemporary Australian composer, Patrick Jillett. Appropriate for a concert or festival. It is playable by the youngest of bands, and can be used to teach march style. It is in the key of Bb, beginning with a trumpet and snare drum introduction establishing stable march style. The rest of the band then joins for essentially an AABA form. The piece modulates to Eb major for the B section (without changing the key signature), then back to Bb for the finale. March uses basic rhythms and limited range, perfect for a young band to begin learning and mastering “march style.”.

It is a depiction of the Paris Festival (Revolutionary Day) on July 14. Against the background of the first triplet, you can start to see fireworks shining in the distance. After getting closer and closer and launching it bigger, it's dizzying and colorful.It's changing to shine. Fanfare-style motifs that appear on the way are deployed in various ways, and they are magnificently reproduced at the climax at the end.And the French national anthem La Marseès concludes the song with a reverberation in the aftertaste.The whole scale and the tonic sound are skillfully combined, and the original song is very pianistic.I want to switch the tone and tempo firmly for each scene, and try to play crisp and colorful performances. Though “The Veil Between†starts slow and ominous, it quickly picks up the tempo with a driving bass line and melody that pushes throughout the piece. The middle section is filled with creepy percussion instruments, including bowed cymbals and super ball mallets on gongs and timpani. Your percussionists are sure to enjoy trying out these cool sounds.Every person on a melodic instrument gets the melody at some point in the piece. I just liked the idea of someone starting to play the melody as people were getting ready for rehearsal and anyone else being able to join in! Plus, I thought it might make it easier to teach the style of the melody if you could do it as a full group.This piece was originally written for 5 percussionists. After finishing the piece I was asked to add in more percussion, a task which I was very excited to do!
