This is a new and exciting orchestral arrangement of the European Anthem, adopted by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in January 1972. This arrangement would be ideal for concert or ceremonial events and is playable by any competent orchestra. The complete PDF file contains a 19-staff full score, and parts for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in B flat, bassoons, 3 trumpets in B flat, 4 horns in F, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, percussion (3 players) and strings. The melody of this anthem is taken from the last movement of Beethoven's Symphony No 9, Op 125, often known as the Choral Symphony and it's a setting of Schiller's poem Ode to Joy. The symphony was completed in 1824.

About Contagion, the music From quarantine life, something painful this way comes, a new, pandemic inspired, life soundtrack… Contagion is a moment, an interruption, signifying an expression of feelings and music that the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic and quarantine brought to light. It’s a contemporary classical life-track, serving as a soundtrack to the contagion, to its spread, to its mystery, its attack on the body, to our losses during the Covid-19 pandemic and to our future beyond them. As the virus flooded every news outlet, Contagion became an interruption, a mysterious invader, taking over everything, needing to be expressed. It’s a “lifetrack†or “life soundtrack†with its contemporary classical orchestral sounds expressing the feelings and experiences of those first few months of dread and quarantine, through which many of us felt the fear of it all and the actual loss of loved ones. Original Album Release date: May 14th, 2020 Genre: Contemporary Classical / Life Soundtrack • The album length is 9 minutes and 33 seconds About the Score This version of the score includes ALL 5 songs in the album and the instrument selection varies in accordance with the specific composition of each of the songs. From the 2006 Ron Howard film adaptation of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, this track is taken from the soundtrack which underscores the final late night walk by Robert Langdon (played by Tom Hanks) through the streets of Paris to (possibly and hopefully) conclude his long and testing quest to seek the Holy Grail. No spoilers however. If you've not seen it, then add it to your playlist!The film's soundtrack evokes great emotion throughout and whatever criticisms there may have been over the years about the book, the story, the film etc.. this is definitely one of Hans Zimmer's finest emotional and thought provoking soundtrack scores, drawing from a huge range of musical influences, from the big symphonic oceanic sounscapes to the intimate vocal solo and choral plainchant that are peppered throughout the score. It is an example of how a soundtrack can really make a massive difference to what some might describe glibly as a popcorn movie.Very much like Time in Inception Zimmer takes a relatively simple harmonic and melodic trope and adds layers of melodic counter melody and rhythmic building to create an awe inspiring and (let's face it BIG!) climax, supporting the narrative of the film and story but also creating music that can be taken away from the cinematic experience and enjoyed for its own sake.This orchestration emulkates as closely as possible the soundtrack. Some licence has been taken with the addition of 2 Trumpets which build the climax with the upper strings. SATB choir is also scored as per the original soundtrack but optional as it is mostly covered by orchestral instruments and is also a very brief appearance but - at least for the sopranos - extremely challenging for anyone apart from a professional specialist choral ensemble. The synth section of the keyboard part in the opening pages can also be optional, adding some background sounds that Zimmer is so renowned for (this may be beyond the budget of some performing groups we appeciate). THIS ORCHESTRATION IS A TONE [2 Steps] LOWER THAN THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKA Christmas Carol (2009) from Walt Disney Pictures with Jim Carrey in the role of Scrooge is a magnificent and much loved masterpiece, an instant holiday classic. With a cast including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins and Cary Elwes. The song echoes the last words of Tiny Tim and the crowning song sung by Andrea Bocelli, but written by film music legend Alan Silvestri (Back to the future, Polar Express among many others) builds on that phrase as its opening line to create a joyful epic anthem.This version requires a tenor or soprano soloist with the option of SATB chorus, and emulates the original soundtrack but set in a lower key since few singers necessarily have the vocal capacity of Bocelli to ping out a routine top B. A version will be available on this site in the original higher key for the braver subscriber.We commend this song (and arrangement) to any event organisers of a large scale Christmas or church orchestral event, or a film concert any time of year.
