It was written in 1945 by lyricist Sammy Cahn and Broadway song writer Jule Styne. Cahn said that it was written on Hollywood and Vine on the hottest day of the year! This arrangement contains chromatic runs, triplets, swing rhythm, arpeggios, gorgeous, rich chording, and lots of helpful fingering! The melody switches back and forth from primo to secondo. There is a fun, optional part-switch spot half-way through the song, where the primo pianist can get up and trade places with the secondo pianist! Here Comes Peter Cottontail, PIANO DUET): This fun Easter and Spring Holiday Classic is arranged for Elementary/Junior level young pianists!  Joan Bujacich arranged this so that the Primo part plays the melody between the two hands and it has very few eighth notes and hands together. The secondo part mainly breaks up the simple I IV V harmony, bouncing along, and then trades some melodic parts with the Primo player in the second section. Together it makes a great sound and is a very Hoppy tune! The notation is clean and friendly. The secondo part takes over the melody in the middle section and both players share the melody on the second half of the piece. The trick ending includes suggestions for optional theatrics as the secondo player reaches completely in front of the primo player to find their notes at the top of the keyboard. Starting off slow and daunting at first, with shifts and odd dynamics and rhythms as you just allow yourself to fall into this new feeling. Then, the piece takes off. With confusing chords, a ground bass but always a visible motet. The ground bass always sounds like it may rush, like any second the pianist could speed up and leave the other pianist behind but it never does. The voices often trade parts and dance back and forth. With the treble line taking off suddenly, ending the ground bass line. The last section has question chords, and unresolved lines as a relationship starts to lose the new lover buzz and falls into a steady rhythm. Some may feel that the relationship is ending, that the two pianos don’t sound the same as they used to together. But really the two pianos have found their music. They don’t need to experiment with different rhythms, keys, or time signatures. They know what sounds good together, they can continue to make music forever.

This 2-hands piano version is fairly difficult and requires large stretches at times, but for those who like a challenge it is well worth it. Camp David is a sprightly number based on the Yiddish folksong Ikh bin a meidel in de joren - I am a maiden come of age and I am looking for a husband. 4. Blue Boar Blue is based on a poem by a friend stuck studying in his college room (Blue Boar Quad at Christ Church Oxford) but dreaming of sunny outings to the river and punting. The sound samples are electronic previews. In the case of the 4-hands versions, the pdf files include the score and also separate piano parts. The original string quintets are also available on this site.

Juan Maria Solare #4408887. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596550). Blues en mà [Blues in E / Blues in me] for piano. Composed in Worpswede (Germany) from 9th to18th October 2001. Dedicated to Hans-Dieter Ludwig (H.D.). Duration: 3'20. First performance by the composer at the Music Hall in Worpswede on 3rd May 2002. This concert was filmed by Reinhard Hölker, who also held a scholarship at the Künstlerhäuser Worpswede. The Argentine first performance was given by Cecilia Strack on 17th December 2003 at the Conservatorio de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, during a monographic concert (Compositions for Piano by Juan MarÃa Solare) organised by the Professors Silvia Dabul and Manuel Massone. The title is a pan in Spanish: Blues in E minor / Blues in me. At some moment I had a dream related with this piece. I cannot recall exactly when or where, but it must have been during 2003; any case not later. Possibly I've written it down somewhere, I will find it. Reconstructed by memory: It was an open-air concert, maybe in Worpswede. The audience sits down in banks around tables, eating; it is a kind of party. A music sounds that comes familiar to me. I recognized the Blues en mÃ. A young lady is performing it, whom I don't absolutely know. I ask myself: How could this lady get the score? She have possibly found it on the internet. And actually it was this dream that ended up convincing me to put some of my scores in Internet, beginning with the Blues en mÃ. According to my registers, I sent the sheet music to Mariano Rocca (webmaster of compositores e intérpretes, www.ciweb.com.ar) on 2nd November 2003 (ergo, this dream must have occurred before).
