Published by Warren J Wernick (A0.948762). Blackadder is a series of four BBC One pseudohistorical British sitcoms, plus several one-off installments, which originally aired from 1983–1989. All television episodes starred Rowan Atkinson as the antihero Edmund Blackadder and Tony Robinson as Blackadder's dogsbody, Baldrick. Each series was set in a different historical period, with the two protagonists accompanied by different characters, though several reappear in one series or another, e.g., Melchett (Stephen Fry) and Lord Flashheart (Rik Mayall). The theme song is composed by Howard Goodall, an English composer of musicals, choral music and music for television. He also presents music-based programs for television and radio, for which he has won many awards. In May 2008, he was named as a presenter and Composer-in-Residence with the UK radio channel Classic FM. In May 2009, he was named Composer of the Year at the Classic BRIT Awards. Goodall said of the Theme, They asked me if I would have a go at the tune. With all of these things, although I do come up with my own ideas, you don't really come up with a good one unless you talk it through with them and the vision they've got. It was quite obvious, the historical approach they were going for. What's interesting is that the first series, the medieval one with 'Richard the Fourth', was much more filmic and much more historical. That's why we ended up with that tune. Whereas had the first series been the Elizabethan one, the theme would have been slightly gentler, less heroic. .

Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931313). Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is the soundtrack for the Disney film of the same title, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. The score was composed by Hans Zimmer in 2006.Wheel of Fortune: The three-way duel between Jack, Norrington, and Will for the Dead Man's Chest key on the Isla Cruces. This lengthy action cue also covers Elizabeth, Pintel, and Ragetti's battle against the Dutchman crew for the Dead Man's Chest itself. Does not include the beginning of the duel, and actually begins when Pintel and Ragetti confront Elizabeth. Wheel of Fortune uses several of the action themes introduced in the Jack Sparrow suite, plus the first theme in the Kraken track, and many other action themes from earlier in the movie and in the first movie. The name likely refers to the giant water wheel on which much of the battle takes place.

Published by Sweetwater Brass Press (A0.808646). Among the most noteworthy works by Clément Philibert Léo Delibes are two ballets, Coppélia (1870) and Sylvia (1876). Delibes based the latter on a Aminta, a play written by Torquato Tasso three centuries earlier, and it is populated by characters such as Eros, Diana, Orion, as well as Aminta and, of course, Sylvia. The third act opens in the forest with a celebration of the wine vintage, the Grand cortège de Bacchus (March and Procession of Bacchus). The March is exciting and brassy (enough so that the 1982-1986 television series, Knight Rider, used it for a musical theme!). The Procession is more song-like but ends with a big restatement of the March. Completed in 2012, this arrangement runs about 6 minutes, 50 seconds. Seventy-seven years later, Robert Wright and George Forrest took the subordinate theme of the Quartet’s second movement and used it as the basis for Baubles, Bangles and Beads, in the 1953 Broadway musical Kismet. The song became a hit in its own right and enjoyed success on recordings, radio and television.

Presented here is a great Canzona published around 1597 for 12 brass in 3 choirs. A variety of substitute parts are also included to handle trombone parts with Bb trumpets and F Horns. One of Gabrieli’s great triumphant works, this piece starts out with a dance like theme in minor key that builds from instrument to instrument and soon turns major. A brilliant work that displays Gabrieli in all his glory with tradeoffs between choirs and antiphonal effects.

Published by Richard Jones (A0.1026133). Until the 1970s the Minuet in G Major was attributed to the great Johann Sebastian Bach. For centuries musicologists believed it was an original composition as it was a part of the manuscript notebook compiled by Bach and his wife Anna Magdalena Bach, in 1725.Petzold was born in Konigstein, Germany, in 1677 and little is known about his exact birth date. Relatively few pieces ofhis have survived the centuries, but the inclusion of his two minuets in the Anna Magdalena Notebook, remain the most famous of these.The theme to the Minuet in G was used in 1966 by the American pop group The Toys, in their song 'A Lover's Concerto'.In this arrangement I have syncopated the theme and accompanying parts to create a jazz feel. From letter A the theme appears in the cornet and euphonium lines and then at letter B the theme is transferred to the horn section. Whilst the theme is in the horn section there is a counter riff in the baritones and trombones, and a simple jazz syncopation in the cornets. At C the key changes to the sub-dominant key of C and the back row cornets get the tune in a simple but syncopated form whilst a flowing counter melody continues in the lower instruments. Then at D the euphoniums, baritones and basses have their chance and the syncopation appears in the horns and interjections in the cornets. After the D.S the the piece goes to the Coda, which hasthe tune split between each of the sections of the band with a fortissimo climax.

Burden holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an instrumental concentration from the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. There he studied under world renowned saxophonist Mario Bernardo. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree with a Music Education and Saxophone Performance concentration from Eastern Florida State College where he was a student of James Bishop. During his time at the Bower School of music, he served as principle saxophonist in the FGCU Wind Orchestra, lead alto in the Jazz Band Flight: Jazz at FGCU, and played soprano saxophone in the Bower Saxophone Quartet. Alexander was selected to play tenor saxophone in the 2017 National Intercollegiate Band as well as principle alto saxophone in the 2017 Florida All-State Intercollegiate Band and tenor saxophone in the 2016 Florida All-State Intercollegiate Band. In November of 2015, Alexander participated in a critically acclaimed performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City with the FGCU Wind Orchestra.
