Twelve books of Studies revised, annotated and fingered by Mathieu Crickboom. Composed by Mathieu Crickboom. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. IV. Schott Music - Digital #Q45248. Published by Schott Music - Digital
The masters of the violin have left us an inheritance of numerous books of remarkable studies and caprices. But the very abundance of this precious inheritance makes that an important part of it remains without profit, because it is impossible for the pupils to acquire or study these few thousands studies scattered in fifty big volumes. Very frequently, however, these studies are not classified in a progressive manner. Result of an inspiration which the pedagogical spirit could not always dominate or guide as it liked to, the first studies address themselves sometimes to the pupils who conjugate yet their first shifts with the most easy bow strokes, while the last are always of transcendent difficulty. Whatever be the chosen studies, once the first step is sourmounted, the pupils must do great efforts to realize imperfectly and in divided movements, difficulties which are beyond them. The result of this is: a considerable loss of time and sometimes even much discouragement. It follows at all events, that instead of practising fifty or sixty caprice studies in one year\'s time, the pupils can hardly study thirty. It is the desire to remedy these multiple inconveniences, that has incited us to realize the present work and in order to accomplish it to search in the greatest works of the masters, the elements the most apt to insure rapidly to the young violinists, the most complete mecanism of the left hand and bow. These exceedingly numerous and diverse elements chosen in the old editions, have been re-examined, fingered and sometimes the nuances (shades) set by us, with the most care and then classified by degrees from the second to the eight year of study in a progressive manner. These books of studies will not bear their fruits however, unless the work is regulated from the second to the fifth year of teaching, by a good method and appropriated exercises. The studies cannot in reality during this period, replace neither a method nor the exercises, they have to be considered rather as an amplified rehearsal of elements learned elsewhere but still badly assimilated. The masters of the violin have left us an inheritance of numerous books of remarkable studies and caprices. Arranged by Dan Edwards. 21st Century,Contemporary,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. 2 pages. Arr. Dan Edwards #896207. Published by arr. Dan Edwards (A0.1306871). Sleepwalker by Ava Max, arranged for violin solo by Dan Edwards. Don't freak out about the glissandos in the guitar solo: just do what you can to make it work. I've notated them as they are (more or less) in the original song, but you could just do little slides instead, or omit them completely if you're not convinced!Duration: 3 minutes 11 seconds (including repeat).Dan Edwards is a prize-winning composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, and for years was the Staff Arranger for the orchestra at Buckingham Palace. He studied the cello with Richard Markson at Trinity College of Music, London. Please contact me through my website or social media if you would like any changes made to any of my arrangements. Pachelbel: Canon for Solo Violin

Violin Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552084 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. 2 pages. Jmsgu3 #6116383. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552084). The famous wedding classic arranged for Solo Violin.Duration 2:12Score: 2 pages. The famous Pachelbel Canon arranged for Solo Violin. A great choice for weddings & receptions! Pachelbel's Canon Pachelbel's Canon is, in fact, the traditional title for a composition by the German composer Johann Pachelbel. Other names for the work include namely: Canon and Gigue for 3 violins and basso continuo, Canon and Gigue in D, and of course Canon in D. We do not know when or why in particular it was written. The oldest copy is surprisingly from the 19th century. It is important to realize that it was a common routine for organists to practice improvisation on the chord progression underlying the canon. Pachelbel originally scored the Canon notably for three violins and continuo. He also in fact paired the Canon with a gigue. The movements are homotonal, to clarify, both are in the key of D major. History In due time, Pachelbel's Canon went out of style and remained in virtual oblivion for centuries. The Jean-François Paillard chamber orchestra, however, recorded an arrangement of it in 1968. As a result, it gained approval. Many ensembles began likewise to record the piece in the 1970s and by the 1980s became ubiquitous as background music. From the 1970s to the early 2000s, pop songs correspondingly used elements of the piece. The chord progression, in particular, was used this way. Also, since the 1980s, it has been not only wildly popular for weddings, but also for funeral ceremonies in the USA and Europe. Pachelbel Background Johann Pachelbel (1653 –1706) was a German composer, as well as an organist. He was furthermore instrumental in bringing the south German organ school to its apex. He wrote a large body of music, both sacred and, equally important, secular. In particular, he uniquely helped develop the chorale prelude and fugue. For this, he has, in fact, earned a rightful place in the company of the most significant composers of the mid-Baroque period. Works Pachelbel's music was certainly popular. With this in mind, he also consequently had many pupils. His music expressly developed into a model for south German composers. Nowadays, Pachelbel is most famous, particularly for the Canon in D, as well as the F minor Chaconne, the Toccata in E minor, and of course the Hexachordum Apollinis, a set of variations for the keyboard. Influences Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Caspar Kerll were south German composers who significantly influenced Pachelbel. Furthermore, he was especially influenced by Italians such as Frescobaldi and Poglietti. He frequently preferred an articulate, simple contrapuntal style that highlighted clarity. His music is markedly less extravagant and harmonically adventurous than that of Dieterich Buxtehude. However, as a point often overlooked, like Buxtehude, Pachelbel experimented with different instrumental combinations in his chamber music. Legacy All in all, Pachelbel was most famous as a composer for the keyboard. He composed over two hundred pieces specifically for the instrument. Pachelbel was also surprisingly a prolific composer of vocal music. All in all, about a hundred vocal works survive, including 40 or so large-scale works.

Violin Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.799118 By Dwight Yoakam. By Freddie Mercury and Frederick Mercury. Arranged by Dan Sanchez. Rock. 4 pages. Dan Sanchez #4776573. Published by Dan Sanchez (A0.799118). This Solo Violin arrangement still manages to capture the full sound of my string quartet version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen. Your listeners will love this toe-tapping tune, so much so that you might get an air-guitarist joining you on the side! The bowings included here with help with the swing. It’s a blast to play; I really enjoy it. I hope you do, too! One thing that sets my arrangements apart from others is that I fit all of my parts on 2 sheets of music. This makes it so the songs can fit into a binder, without the need for flipping pages! Another great thing (for multi-instrumental arrangements) is that I include cue lines on each part, so that every player in the ensemble can see one other person’s music at the same time. This is so amazingly useful and has saved countless performances in the past. If someone skips a beat or misses a measure, you can now see where they are and reconnect! This also helps with sight-reading and keeping the group together in general. So, feel free to check out my other arrangements while you're here! Thanks,Dan

Violin Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.731033 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Edwin Sung. Children,Christian,Christmas,Classical,Instructional. 4 pages. Edwin Sung #1189. Published by Edwin Sung (A0.731033). This duet piece emphasises on teamwork / co-operation, while not setting the bar too high for the players - music appreciation / enjoyment is what all musicians like! Beginners get to enjoy to play the majority of the main tune, while the intermediates/teachers can enjoy wider range and more note decorations from their instruments while supporting the melodies. In addition to that, melodies and harmonies do cross over occasionally to gain a balance of roles between the players. That’s why this piece is recommended to everyone, ranging from beginners to advanced, to perform professionally or leisurely during Christmas ideally! Date published: 28th October, 2014 Enjoy!

French.

The studies cannot in reality during this period, replace neither a method nor the exercises, they have to be considered rather as an amplified rehearsal of elements learned elsewhere but still badly assimilated.French.

The masters of the violin have left us an inheritance of numerous books of remarkable studies and caprices.
