The choralepreludes in this volume combine traditional classical form with stilistic elementsof Celtic folk music such as dance rhythms, syncopation, and ornamental figuresthat give them a certain lightness.

Almost allchorals, almost all of which are ecumenical, were composed for practical use. Therefore,they are mostly kept quite short (about 1 min.) and quote the chorale melodycompletely as cantus firmus in the approximate singing tempo. Some preludes have a quasi baroque design, but most also have a certain Celtic flavor. Indications aboutstops have been omitted, the indications SW (Swell) and HW(Great) just indicatewhere the c. f. is to be emphasized. The preludes arefollowed by accompanying movements. This original organ work was written as a dedication to my church's minister. I used his name, Chad, with the melodic motive that opens the piece (using H as a B-natural), and included hints of the "U.S. Army Song" and "Lift High the Cross" as well, as he also serves as a chaplain in the armed forces. The piece could be used as a joyful prelude or a lively postlude, and will give you many chances for trumpet and solo stops! It was written and recorded on a two manual instrument. I hope you enjoy playing it!

This processional was written for a 2022 wedding to create a grand, regal entrance for the bride. It contains a variety of short melodic sections, providing for flexibility for a variety of time lengths as needed, including a triumphant fanfare before the final statement. It was written and recorded on a two manual instrument. It will work for weddings, as a majestic prelude or postlude, or as special music for a ceremonial occasion. I hope you enjoy it!
