Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1083850 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Classical,Contest,Festival,Instructional,Multicultural,Romantic Period,World. Score and parts. 15 pages. Regis Bookshar #688050. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1083850). Coronation March, TH 50, CW 47 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Trumpet Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - . This marvelous arrangement of Peter Tchaikovsky's Coronation March, sometimes called Festival March or Festival Coronation March, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and other festive occasions. This arrangement keeps all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students. Professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (15 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a Trumpet Quintet, consisting of 5 Bb Trumpets. In addition to this arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March for a Trumpet Quintet, other arrangements of this festive composition for various instrumental ensembles are also available. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as there are many more arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you as well, and please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Coronation March will continue to entertain both audiences and performers alike for years to come.

Trumpet Quintet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1346879 Composed by Unknown. Arranged by Ander. Chamber,Christmas. 14 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #931661. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1346879). If you are looking for a sheet music of an arrangement of Joy to the World for Trumpet Quintet, then you will love this version that we made, which brings a new look to this classic Christmas carol. Joy to the World is one of the most famous and oldest Christian songs, written by the poet, preacher, theologian and pedagogue Isaac Watts in 1719, based on Psalm 98 of the Bible. The melody that we know today was adapted by the American composer Lowell Mason in 1848, from a work by George Frideric Handel. In this arrangement, we have some fun with the melody, changing rhythms, harmonies and counterpoints, to give a new and magical air to the song, but without losing the essence of the original work. This arrangement is perfect for use in any Christmas event, such as chamber music in recitals, concerts, public shows, or as teaching material and incentive for music students. You will be amazed by the beauty and creativity of this arrangement, which will delight everyone who listens. Do not waste time and get your sheet music of Joy to the World, and be part of the history of this wonderful song.

Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.894407 Composed by Daniel Butterfield. Arranged by Zack Richards. Contemporary,Folk,Holiday,Patriotic. Score and parts. 17 pages. Zack Richards #5754059. Published by Zack Richards (A0.894407). Taps has always been near and dear to me for almost as long as I've played the Trumpet. I have played it more times than I can count. I was the Bugler for our local Boy Scout troop, playing Taps at many campouts and events to signal the end of the day. I also played it with our High School Marching Band for Memorial Day services, including an incredibly special one at my grandfather's gravesite shortly after his passing. He had served in the Army during World War II. I also played it for several funerals, including my Uncle's, who had served in the Marines. For some time, I had volunteered for our local VFW to play for Veteran's funerals. My High School Trumpet teacher and numerous other people in my life are Veterans and have made a huge impact on me. I decided to write this arrangement to give tribute to those and all Veterans and Service Members. It is also a way of helping the Echo Taps Worldwide cause. Echo Taps Worldwide was first done on May 19, 2007, in recognition of Armed Forces Day at National Cemeteries, State Veterans Cemeteries and American Battle Monuments Cemeteries overseas. The idea is that at gatherings across the world on Armed Forces Day, Buglers play Taps in succession, with one beginning as the previous ends, to honor those who have sacrificed so much. I was fortunate to play as a part of this during Armed Forces Day celebrations in Ashtabula for several years. The intention is also to bring attention to the dire need for buglers to play for Veteran's funerals across the world. If you can, please look into volunteering for your local organizations to play Taps. Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.813837 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Contemporary,Folk,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 18 pages. Regis Bookshar #6533947. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813837). Largo (from Symphony No. 9 in E minor) (From the New World) (Db) (Trumpet Quintet) - Intermediate - . This marvelous arrangement of the Largo, based on the second movement of Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services, especially Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (18 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from the The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 (subtitled From the New World and popularly know as the New World Symphony), was composed by Antonin Dvorak in 1893 while he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America from 1892 to 1895. It premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 16, 1893 and has been described as one of the most popular of all symphonies. The second movement of the symphony, upon which this arrangement is based, is marked Largo, and begins with a harmonic progression of chords which is then followed by a solo instrument playing the famous main theme.Dvorak was interested in Native American music and the African-American spirituals he heard in North America. While director of the National Conservatory he encountered an African-American student, Harry T. Burleigh, who sang traditional spirituals to him. Burleigh, later a composer himself, said that Dvorak had absorbed their spirit before writing his own melodies. Dvorak stated:    I am convinced that the future music of this country must be founded on what are called Negro melodies. These can be the foundation of a serious and original school of composition to be developed in the United States. These beautiful and varied themes are the product of the soil. They are folk songs of America and your composers must turn to them.He further explained how Native American music influenced his symphony:  I have not actually used any of these (Native American) melodies. I have simply written original themes embodying the peculiarities of the Indian music, and, using these themes as subjects, have developed them with all the resources of modern rhythms, counterpoint, and orchestral colour. In 1893, a newspaper interview quoted Dvorak as saying, I found that the music of the negroes and of the Indians was practically identical, and that the music of the two races bore a remarkable similarity to the music of Scotland. Most historians agree that Dvorak is referring to the pentatonic scale, which is typical of each of these musical traditions.Dvorak was influenced not only by music he heard, but also by what he had seen, in America. He wrote that he would not have composed his American pieces as he had if he had not seen America. It has been said that Dvorak was inspired by the wide open spaces of America, such as the prairies he may have seen on his trip to Iowa in the summer of 1893. Notices about several performances of the symphony include the phrase wide open spaces about what inspired the symphony and/or about the feelings it conveys to listeners. The theme from the Largo was adapted into the spiritual Goin' Home (often mistakenly considered a folk song or traditional spiritual) by Dvorak's pupil, William Arms Fisher, who wrote the lyrics in 1922. Regis Bookshar thought it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to this version for a Trumpet Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection which are readily available for a wide variety of instrumental.

Trumpet Quintet - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1247199 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. 19th Century,Classical,Film/TV,March,Romantic Period. 15 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #841744. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1247199). This arrangement adapted for trumpet quintet was written keeping the characteristics of the original work, in order to be performed by young music students who want to enter the symphonic music. Besides, it can also be used by professional musicians, for recitals, repertoire, academic presentations and didactic material. As much as it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion. The transcription is faithful to the structure, with only one change of key, so that it is comfortable for all the instruments in the formation, as well as for use in ensemble practice between musicians of different traditions.Ludwig van Beethoven began concentrated work on his Symphony No. 7 in A major Op. 92 in 1811, it was completed in 1812, and was dedicated to Count Moritz von Fries, and premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813. It is considered a remarkable example of the more ebullient side of Beethoven's compositional personality and evidence that even after the onset of deafness, he still found cause for musical optimism. The second movement Allegretto is a funeral march in everything but name. Often several contrasting melodic ideas are made to coexist, as if Beethoven were imagining several processions converging on the cemetery at the same time. As he was working on this symphony during the years of the Napoleonic Wars, this experience was probably within his experience. It was also used as the soundtrack to the film Knowing, by director Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage, where it is used in the final scene of the film. Beethoven called Symphony No. 7 his most excellent symphony, and a music critic of the time reported, this symphony is the most melodically rich and the most pleasing and comprehensible of all Beethoven's symphonies..

Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.813628 Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Instructional,Multicultural,Standards,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Regis Bookshar #6434235. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813628). Trumpet Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - . This arrangement of the Allegro movement from Henry Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services. It is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. This selection is one of the arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library, many of which are being made available for the first time. They have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The original composition was written in D Major but Regis Bookshar has transposed it to Bb Major, making it a little easier for many modern musicians. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (8 pages). The 17th century composer, Henry Purcell, is generally considered to be one of the greatest English composers of his generation. His Sonata for Trumpet and Strings in D Major, composed in 1694, was probably written for the London Theatre, where a fine tradition of trumpet playing had developed. Purcell almost certainly had in mind either John Shore or his brother, William, the most renowned trumpet players in England at the time. The trumpets of the time were normally tuned in D and there were no valves on the Baroque trumpets, so they were limited in the number of notes that they could play. The term Sonata here probably means no more than a piece of incidental music and looks forward to the style that would become the solo concerto where soloist and strings are pitted against each other but also looks back to an older type of instrumental music which emphasized equality between members of the ensemble. The music is in three movements and looks forward to the fast-slow-fast plan popularized by Vivaldi's concertos. Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists, besides trumpet players, could also have the opportunity to play the Allegro movement from Purcell's Sonata for Trumpet, so he has created other arrangements of this selection. However, this particular arrangement is for a Trumpet Quintet, consisting of 5 Trumpets, but there are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this piece. You may find something else that may suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check back periodically because new arrangements are added as often as possible. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Purcell's Allegro from his Sonata for Trumpet will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

This marvelous arrangement of I Vow to Thee, My Country, a hymn tune based on the Andante Maestoso section from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from Gustav Holst's The Planets, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for church services, especially Weddings and Funerals, but would be appropriate any time during the church year. However, if you are looking to perform this selection for concerts or recitals, I would suggest you look for the arrangement of Jupiter (Andante Maestoso from Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity from The Planets), also by Regis Bookshar. This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. We have performed the Trumpet Quintet version of this composition quite often for numerous weddings and other special occasions. The Planets, written between 1914 and 1917 by the English composer Gustav Holst, premiered at the Queen's Hall in London, on September 29, 1918 for an invited audience of about 250 people. In the fourth movement, Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity, Holst portrays Jupiter's supposedly characteristic abundance of life and vitality. Nobility and generosity are allegedly characteristics of those born under Jupiter, and in the slower, middle section marked Andante Maestoso, perhaps the most well-known theme from The Planets (and the theme on which this arrangement is based), Holst provides a broad tune embodying these traits. In 1921, Holst adapted the theme to fit the patriotic poem I Vow to Thee, My Country by Cecil Spring Rice, and was written as a unison song with orchestra. It did not appear as the hymn tune until 1926, when Holst harmonized this melody, named Thaxted, named after the English village where he had lived for many years. Holst's friend Ralph Vaughan Williams included it in Songs of Praise. It has since been performed at numerous occasions, most notably for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales in 1981, and also at the funerals of Princess Diana in 1997, Margaret Thatcher in 2013 and Senator John McCain where it was performed at the Washington National Cathedral on September 1, 2018. In addition to being used as the melody for the solemn, patriotic hymn I Vow to Thee, My Country, other settings of this hymn tune also include O God, Beyond All Praising, by Michael Perry in 1982, O Spirit All Embracing by Delores Dufner in 1995 and We Praise You and Acknowledge You, O God, a paraphrase of the Te Deum Laudemus by Stephen P. Starke in 1999.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could have the opportunity to play this beautiful melody, so, in addition to this Trumpet Quintet version, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection. The most popular musical setting of it in the United States is the tune commonly known as Mueller. It was composed by James R. It has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960's and is performed by countless ballet companies, primarily during the Christmas season, especially in North America. Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.813429 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Baroque,Multicultural,Standards,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 30 pages. Regis Bookshar #6259499. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813429). Canon (Pachelbel) (Bb) (Trumpet Quintet) - Advanced/Intermediate - . This selection, Johann Pachelbel's celebrated Canon, is perhaps the most famous canon ever written and has been one of my favorite compositions to arrange. A canon is a polyphonic device in which several voices play the same music, entering in sequence. Pachelbel's Canon, was originally written in the key of D Major and was scored for three violins arranged in canon, accompanied by a basso continuo which repeats the same harmonic progression throughout the entire piece. The common musical term for this is ostinato or ground bass. Regis Bookshar has now arranged this music for a Trumpet Quintet. Three Trumpets play the melody in canon while the ostinato accompaniment is played by the other two Trumpets. This arrangement is suitable for high school and college students but could also be performed by professional performers. It is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library that are becoming available for the first time. It is perfect for concerts and church services, especially for Weddings, but could be performed for any occasion. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (30 pages). This version is written in the key of Bb Major, to make it a little easier for some younger performers, but another version is also available in the key of D Major if you would prefer. Other versions of Pachelbel's Canon have also been arranged by Regis Bookshar and are available for a wide variety of instrumental Quintets and Octets, in both the keys of D Major and Bb Major. I think that String players would probably prefer to play the versions in the key of D Major while the Brass and Woodwind musicians might prefer to play the Bb Major versions. I hope you take the time to compare the different versions to find the right version for you. To help you decide which version, or versions, you may want to choose, I have included several musical samples for you to listen to and to hear what these arrangements may sound like and so that you may compare the various arrangements. Also, just to let you know, the Octets written in the key of Bb Major have full-length recordings while the Octets in D Major and all Quintets have only the first 25 measures, or so, available to hear. Please feel free to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar which are also available. There are quite a few other arrangements in a variety of styles and I'm certain you will find something else which might interest you as well. Please keep checking because I plan to continue to add new arrangements as often as I can. I'm certain that this exciting arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon will be a challenge to some performers but will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Trumpet Quintet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1255015 Composed by Luigi Boccherini. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Classical,Instructional,Traditional,Wedding. 8 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #848604. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1255015). This simple arrangement adapted for trumpet quintet was imagined for a group of beginner students who want to start their immersion in classical music, of course with the help of a teacher. Even though the original work is for strings, this did not prevent this beautiful adaptation, where the original essence of the work was maintained, being made only an adaptation of the tonality and some adaptations in the tessitura of the instruments. This piece can be used for professional and academic recitals, didactic material and repertoire for ensemble practice as well, which does not prevent professional musicians and instructors from using it for performances of their preference.Luigi Boccherini was born in the city of Lucca, in northern Italy. He studied cello and became a virtuoso who eventually moved to Spain, where he worked with the Spanish royal family for the rest of his life. His String Quintet in E major, Op. 11, No. 5, G 275, was written in 1771 and published in 1775, and is one of his most famous works. The quintet is famous for its minuet and trio, third movement which is often played as an independent piece outside the context of the full quintet. This is notably the most famous, it is in 3/4 time, in the key of E Major modulating to A Major. This is a beautiful work, and not just the third movement, with good partial writing for all. The lovely, flowing melodies and rhythms are typical of Boccherini. The quintet is suitable for both concerts and home performances.

Trumpet Ensemble Trumpet - Level 4 - SKU: A0.1111398 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713686. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1111398). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Trumpet Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - . Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Trumpet Sextet and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Trumpet Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1172033). Heroic Music - A Suite of Twelve Marches (Complete) - Georg Philipp Telemann - Trumpet Quintet - Intermediate - .Heroic Music (or Heldenmusik) is a suite of twelve short marches and processionals, written by Georg Philipp Telemann in 1728, and is associated with various attributes of Heroism such as Dignity, Bravery and Alertness. All twelve movements have now been transcribed and arranged by Regis Bookshar to be played by Trumpet Quintets or Brass Quintets. Some of them have also been arranged for Sextets, Septets, Octets, Nonets and Brass Choirs. Some also include a Timpani. They can be purchased individually, or with this selection, if you prefer, as a complete set of all twelve at a huge saving.Any of these selections would be a wonderful addition to any music library but this complete set of all twelve would be fabulous. They are perfectly suited to recitals and public performances, can stand alone as short interludes and are generally well received by audiences. They are suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing these arrangements. These selections are some of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. In the past, these compoositions have often been performed by a soloist playing on a Piccolo Trumpet, but these new arrangements are Bb Trumpet friendly as one player stated after reading through them, making them much easier for most high school students. This selection, Heroic Music - A Suite of Twelve Marches (Complete), is arranged for a Trumpet Quintet. There is also a version which includes a Timpani on some of the movements, if you prefer. The twelve movements are as follows: No.  1. La Majeste (associated with Dignity); No.  2. La Grace (associated with Grace); No.  3. La Vaillance (associated with Bravery): No.  4. La Tranquillite (associated with Composure); No.  5. L'Armement (associated with Rearmament); No.  6. L'Amour (associated with Love); No.  7. La Vigilance (associated with (Alertness); No.  8. La Gaillardise (associated with Abandon); No.  9. La Douceur (associated with Gentleness); No. 10. La Generosite (associated with Magnanimity); No. 11. L'Esperance (associated with Hope); and No. 12. La Rejouissance (associated with Joy). Included are complete scores for each movement and a complete set of parts (110 pages). To hear what they sound like, please look for each individual selection. (I was not able to download the large mp3 of all twelve.)These selections are readily available for Trumpet Quintets and Brass Quintets. Please take the time to look for other versions of these compositions. You may find something else that may also suit your needs. Regis Bookshar #6632163. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.813954). Trumpet Quintet - Intermediate - . This arrangement of O Christmas Tree, or in German, O Tannenbaum, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for Christmas concerts and recitals, and, perhaps, even church services. It is equally suitable for junior and senior high school students and even older musicians. Depending on their ability, younger musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of part (8 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.O Christmas Tree is a German Christmas song based on a traditional folk song which was unrelated to Christmas. The custom of the Christmas tree developed in the course of the 19th century, and the song came to be seen as a Christmas carol. The modern lyrics were written in 1824 by the Leipzig organist, teacher and composer, Ernst Anschutz. A tannenbaum is a fir tree. The lyrics do not actually refer to Christmas or describe a decorated tree. Instead, they refer to the fir's evergreen quality as a symbol of constancy and faithfulness. In this arrangement of O Christmas Tree, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic outline of this familiar song, but has inserted a short interlude, which brings to mind the sound of alphorns, or alpenhorns, instruments which may be made from red pine, or fir trees. and are used by mountain dwellers in the Bavarian Alps. I think that students will enjoy this imitative section in the song. In addition to this version for a Trumpet Quintet, there are also other arrangements of O Christmas Tree available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. KVAMusic Edition #948677. Published by KVAMusic Edition (A0.1364386). Böhmeâ??s Brass Sextet (Trompeten-Sextett) op.30, composed in 1911, undoubtedly ranks among the finest brass music produced by the romantic era. The title refers to the distinctive symmetry of the instrumentation: four instruments from the trumpet family and framed by two representative of the bugle family. The use of the trumpet was remarkable at the time because the characteristic brass ensembles of the period consisted exclusively of bugle-family instruments. It was for such a group of 2 cornets, alto, tenor and baritone horn, for example, that Viktor Ewald wrote his well known quintets. The question of which instrument to use of the exposed and rather high bass part, intended by the composer for the â??high Bb tubaâ? is tricky. A great tubist could play it on an F or Eb tuba, but a more compact ensemble sound is obtainable with a euphonium or small French Bb tuba.

Trumpet Quintet - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1243422 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Classical,Opera,Romantic Period. 15 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #838387. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1243422). This adaptation was intended for a small group of trumpet quintet, where the original essence of the piece was kept, however, with a reduction in the duration, where only the main themes of the opening were extracted. As it is simplified, it is intended for beginner students of instrumental music who want to enter orchestral music, even in a simplified and reduced form, and can be used by music teachers with their students in ensemble practice in situations such as academic recitals, didactic concerts, or assessment tests. The Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, known as the Symphony of Destiny, by Ludwig van Beethoven, written between 1804 and 1808, is one of the most popular and best known compositions in the entire repertoire of European music. The four movements are characterized by orchestral homogeneity, being, at the same time, an example of alternation: the first movement, revealing great tension, denounced by the strings and raised to an extreme drama; the second movement reveals solemnity, in a funeral march that rises by its emotion and beauty; the third movement, a crispness; the fourth movement expresses triumph and magnificence.
