Eight familiar hymns

This collection of eight well-known hymn tunes is intended for beginning handbell and handchime choirs. Each setting uses only 21 or 22 bells. There are no modulations, and the beat is subdivided only for essential melody notes.

Classic hymn tune This is a perfect selection to open a worship service. The tune, OLD 100TH, better known to most people as the Doxology, is given suitable Level 1 techniques of LV, echo, shake, and martellato in this delightful setting in which everyone gets a turn at playing the melody at some point.

Students love to play familiar songs, and what song is more familiar for the Winter season than "Jingle Bells!" This beginners' arrangement includes 16 bells from a standard two octave set of handbells, tone chimes or hand bells. The melody is played in both the higher and lower registers, so everyone gets to be part of the magic. Written in cut time, students only have to read a few beamed eighth notes, and everything else is quarter to whole notes. Try this simple and fun arrangement.This is a reproducible product.
