My world is empty, am I alive? From my limbs a fruit was plucked, Within its sheath my heart was tucked. Its seeds contained my unknown future, Inside a flesh so sweet and pure. 2. Would my seeds find a place to fall? Nice fertile ground so they'd grow tall. Or would they find some barren ground. Where no love or nurture can be found? Without the fruit my limbs were bare. An old tree nearby just stood and stared. Why should it stop and help the tree Who let its fruit be taken from thee. 3. About the charmer who took the fruit? Should he help to make them grow? This book has been prepared for the purpose of doing self-accompanied music reading (solfeggio) practice. For this, 70 pieces were designed; with these pieces, it is aimed to develop multi-layered thinking and hearing elements in music. The four parts in the book, which are sorted according to the level of difficulty, are written on a single string, the notes with the stems downwards are accompanied by the notes, and the ones that upwards belong to the reading party. The accompaniment of the pieces is sometimes considered as a single sound, chord, or rhythmic structure, and sometimes as a combination of these structures. The accompaniment, which comes as a rhythmic structure in the 2nd and 4th chapters, is written with rhythmic notation on a separate staff.The accompaniments of the pieces in the first part can be played with instruments such as the piano or guitar, where two or three voices can be played at the same time and music can be played while performing, while the accompaniments are designed only as a rhythm for the parts in the second part can be played by hitting them with the hand or another instrument.The pieces in the third part were written in a way that the upper part can be read when the lower part is played and the lower part is read when the upper part is played, considering the translatable counterpoint technique, thus 4 working ways are derived from one piece. The monophonic accompaniments of the pieces in this section can also be played with instruments that can be read while playing.The fourth chapter of the book contains pieces that combine the understanding of the first two chapters, which can be called advanced when compared to the other chapters.The pieces in the book were read many times with students from different age groups at different levels, and their interpretations contributed to the shaping of the pieces. It is thought that the book, which includes studies that can help with simultaneous melody/rhythm hearing, reading scores, or rhythmic analysis, will contribute to the development of multi-layered thinking and hearing in music by making accompanying music reading studies on its own, and this is a basic requirement for every musician.

I Don't Like Winter and Other Songs to Celebrate the Winter Season is a collection of 11 songs for young singers filled with tunes about all aspects of the winter season - from skating alone on the pond in the backyard, picking out presents for siblings, spending time with the family, embracing the cold, wanting to escape the cold, going to visit Santa for the first time, and being so enthusiastic to celebrate all of the special days that happen at this time of year!This collection was inspired by a voice teacher friend of mine - serendipitously also named Tiffany :-) - who was looking for songs about the season that were non-traditional and relatable to a wider range of singers. It's my pleasure to offer up some options!I had so much fun writing these songs and I hope students, teachers, and audiences alike enjoy them just as much! May you laugh as you state your case to go on a winter vacation. May you cry at the idea of wearing a special hat made with a grandmother's love. May you be left breathless with joy as you glide on a frozen pond with no one else around. In addition to all of these brand-spankin' new tunes, I also included the previously-released Everyone's a Kid at Christmas because, well, it's a hoot!These are crowd pleasers perfect for holiday recitals, and some can be performed in a group as well as solos.A note for teachers: These songs do have varying ranges. I, for the most part, notated them as I conceived of them. But I did my best to provide alternate pitches in case the melody goes a little high or a little low. So, I invite to you peruse a song in it's entirety and see where there may be options even if the designated range may seem a little wide. It is my intention to make these songs as accessible to as many singers as possible.
