Williams (A0.1146682). My light arrangement of the classic torch song, inspired greatly by Hank Mobley's version from his album 'Soul Station'. I altered the time signature from the original 3/4 and adapted Mobley's saxophone melody to the vocal. The first run through has a walking bass line in the left hand supporting block chords harmonizing the melody in the right. For the second half I used a rhythm in the left hand that is a nod to the original waltz feel of the song, with simplified voicings inspired by Wynton Kelly.
