A rare combination of three songs for voice and piano honoring three separate events: the opening one is Nature, almost self-explanatory - Fall is Here; the second, Every Ring, celebrates one of Man's sacred traditions between two persons united in matrimony; and the third, Peace, commemorates patriotically the anniversary of a fallen giant, Gandhi, who was the Father of his independent nation. The words to the first two are mine. The last lyrics are my late mother Zenobia's: she devoted her senior years to writing about her travels through three continents during her lifetime, as well as her wide-ranging poems, which she shared generously with her children and grandchildren - much to their delight, even to this day! For the record, the 3 songs are sold separately elsewhere on SheetMusicPlus for $13.35, but the 3-in-1 combination here is available for just $9.95.

Spain has a long history of folk music dating back to the Middle Ages; a tradition that is still very much alive today. The music has been influenced by many different cultures over the centuries and has been the inspiration for musicians across the world.Songs1.Sevillanas are a type of folk song and associated dance for couples, originating in the nineteenth century. Today they are still very popular, particularly at fiestas and other social events.2.Cabaliño is a Galician work song about a young horse, arranged in the style of a flamenco tango.3. La Petenera is a combination of two songs in very different styles - a flamenco Petenera from AndalucÃa and a Mexican son huasteco, a genre that is noteworthy for its flamboyant and virtuoso violin parts.4. Saetas are religious songs that are performed at Easter (Semana Santa).5.There are many hundreds of versions of the old folk tale Gerineldo, telling the story of love between a Queen and her page boy. This Spanish/Jewish version is over 500 years old, from the time when the Moors ruled over much of the Iberian Peninsula.6.Villancico Asturiano is a traditional Christmas carol from Asturias, combined with a setting of a Christmas poem written in the seventeenth century by Robert Herrick for King Charles II of England.7.The lyrics from La Tarara are drawn from the poem of the same name by the Spanish poet Federico Lorca, who based his poem on a traditional children´s playground song. La Tarara is a mystical woman who dances around the countryside. The music in this version is in the style of a Tanguillo – a type of flamenco dance from Cadiz.

The Chocolate collection of songs was written by John Ashton Thomas, DaCapo’s composer-in-residence until his untimely death in 2021. John worked as a composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, pianist and teacher in the UK and USA. Words are by Tracey Mathias. Tracey wrote the lyrics for most of John’s DaCapo projects as well as several songbooks. They ask, “Who is this boy?â€, to which the women reply, “His name is Jesusâ€.The songs are at an easy level, mostly with single-line melodies. There is one rap song, “Rabbi’s Rapâ€, which could be accompanied by a beat-box sound. There is also a medley, “Who Is This Boy? / His Name is Jesusâ€, in which the scholars and teachers sing two verses, the women’s chorus sings two verses, and then they sing together.The musical runs about 40 minutes.
