Dua Lipa wrote the track with Caroline Ailin, Emily Warren, and its producer Ian Kirkpatrick featuring funky basslines throughout the song. The song was recorded by Kirkpatrick using Scarbee MM-Bass plug-in (Kontakt samples). During live performances, it is played using a 4-string Pbass and bass synthesiser by Matthew Carroll.

This transcription is based on the album version and arranged to be played on a 5-string bass with standard tuning. If you preferred to use a 4-string bass, I have provided an option as indicated by smaller notations in the score (I have also included a small note during the section). You can also play as Matthew Carroll did during his performance with Dua Lipa. He uses 4-string Pbass for the whole song but played the bass synthesiser during the ?Pre-Chorus? sections.

These Play-Along Trax give you a very realistic example of how you would play live with a band.Music examples are kept fairly simple to make sure this book is accessible to bass players just above the beginning level. For best understanding of these techniques refer to Mel Bay's Blues Bass, Level 1 (MB21063BCD).Lastly, all the references in this book are written for a right-handed four string electric bass. If you play a 5 string bass you just need to extend the examples to include your B string. If you play left-handed then you need to reverse any references to the left and right hands. We will use standard music notation along with bass tablature (TAB) for this book. Includes access to online audio.
