All the toils and loss of this life can turn to abundant joy if we choose to meditate on the truth that Christ lives in our heart. And isn’t it true that the only right response to Christ’s resurrection is to give your life as a living sacrifice to Him every moment?Slowly they traveled to the tomb. Grief hangs as black as deepest night. They have come to mourn Jesus’s death; But the dark is shattered by light! Chorus: Jesus lives what a glorious day! Jesus lives why do you still weep? I composed Dissolved over the stiflingly hot and humid Sydney summer of 2018-2019. It’s all about finding relief from the heat by plunging your body into the sea at twilight. I went with some friends to Sydney’s Coogee Beach one late afternoon, just as the sun was setting. We parked in a side street and walked barefoot across the road, still warm from a full day of blazing sunlight, over the prickly grass, down the concrete steps onto the soft sand and into the ocean. The feeling of being cleansed by this salt water was so strong, I felt compelled to write a song about it.
