A collection of gentle original melodies playable on lever or pedal harp. Spring Prelude, key of C is in ¾ time,with a very sweet melody. Just One Kiss of Spring is in 4/4 key of G, slow with a few large rolled major 7th chords. Spring Clouds is in 6/8, key of A minor, fairly moving with a key change to F. There is also a C# lever change. Rain is in E minor, almost monotonous and excellent for meditation. An April Lullaby, in G and ¾, is marked ?tenderly,?. Good Morning to May, in G and ¾, is a lovely slow and simple tune. Here?s to June, in 4/4, key of G, has more drive than the preceding tunes. Spring Nocturne, in C and 4/4, is very simple to play, with only a few full chords. Although a few low notes are found here and there, all of these pieces can easily be adapted to a harp with 29 strings or even 26.

Folk dance and music are a large part of everyday life in parts of Scandinavia. This is a collection of seventeen Nordic songs, ballads and dance melodies,arranged with as few lever changes as possible. Scandinavian music reflects a rich tradition dating back to Viking times, with ballads, songs, song-dances, couple-dances, and set-dances.

A set of lead sheets is included at the end of the collection which are marked with rehearsal letter indications, repeat signs for multiple verses, interludes and modulations.

Everyone enjoys Celtic Folk Songs and Folk Hymns but not all realize that often they can be one and the same. A hymn text has often found its home in a folk song and a secular text sometimes finds a home in a hymn tune. This collection has a little of both. All but one of the tunes in this collection are of Celtic origin. The exception, ?Amazing Grace,? is a folk hymn of unknown origin that has all the markings of a Celtic Tune, including a pentatonic harmonic foundation.
